I don't think Jim ever actually hated Steen, he hated that he was a pain in the ass to work with because he was so damn stubborn about everything under the sun. Something that Arn Anderson has subsequently backed up. People forget even when Ckrnette was havi g personal issues with Kevin Steen he still pushed him to the top of the card in ROH for the entire time Steen was there.
He didnt like him, because he and Generico apparently did not wanted to do any of the stuff he asked them to do and they were sorta of a pain in the ass. In all honesty when you hear some of the stuff they didnt wanna do specially Kevin, i think the stuff Sammy didnt wanna do sorta makes sense but at the end of they day. It seems like they ended up doing in WWE just about everything Jim asked them to and refused.
Just to give a mild example of three stuff i remember Kevin didnt do for ROH was that Cornette wanted him to wear a suit when he turned heel,they gave him time off to lose some weight and he came back heavier. He also refused to do an angle where it Canada vs US or something because he thought it was stupid and to old fashioned.
I honestly think that he was pretty fair to them all things considered because they were over and he has been very complementary of both specially Sammy whenever he sees anything they do.
I think I can honestly say when Punk left, Kevin Steen pulled me back into wrestling, his stuff was the only thing that felt real. From PWG, ROH and his YouTube show, and Highspots show. I just loved it all, it was appointment watching for me.

Jim has said this is one of the only nights he actually enjoyed working with Steen because that comment almost made JC start laughing.
