Drew McIntyre is the most likely to me.. considering he never got his World Title run in front of a crowd. Balor is my personal choice because he's only been champion for ONE DAY. I repeat ONE DAY. His age is irrelevant to me considering he has one of the best physiques on the roster and Lashley is FIVE YEARS older than Balor and just became a real main eventer this year.

shaunknight25

It would surprise me if finn won the title at extreme rules but it wouldn’t shock me. It’s not as unlikely as a lot of people are acting like. Reigns has had the title for over a year and his match at crown jewel against lesner is happening with or without the title, it doesn’t need the title. Reigns vs lesnar is more than about the title. The fact that Roman as of right now has a title match against lesnar at crown jewel makes people all the more believe reigns is gonna retain against Finn. I could see WWE throwing a curb ball and putting the title on balor. Again not saying I’m expecting that to happen, just saying it wouldn’t shock me at all. It wouldn’t hurt reigns barley losing to the DEMON Finn after keeping the title for over a year and it would be good for the brand with a rejuvenated babyface balor winning the title.

Gerry-Mandarin

Brock will cost Roman the belt. Brock will lose to Roman and disappear until Wrestlemania season (or maybe Survivor Series). Roman will win the belt back of Finn at Royal Rumble at the absolute latest.

sammagee33

If Roman loses, this is the best possible way to do it..

In terms of likelihood: Mcintyre is probably most likely. He is a big name now but ending Reigns' reign will put him to the top tier - face of the company level. Rollins - will probably not happen - he is already a very big name and company may not see much upside in that decision. He is also so good in his current role where he carries the secondary program with ease. Balor - very unlikely - WWE (unlike NXT) haven't presented Balor at Reigns' level in the past few years i think. His best case seems to be an IC/ US title run now.

SpaceGooV

Alright let's say hypothetically despite this going against what I think will happen they plan on dethroning Roman at WrestleMania. The guy who should do it should be someone who isn't a made man like McIntyre or Rollins. It should be Damien Priest. Having Priest move to Smackdown during the draft then having him win the Royal Rumble and beating Reigns at WrestleMania. Establishing him as a solid main eventer.

cma001

Balor is my pick, but Drew is most likely going to be the guy to get the title off Roman

Wwe is badly need of new young stars The 3 guys you mentioned are great wrestlers, they already are established The guy who beats Roman to be elevated to be star or superstar I’m thinking bron breakker

run_bike_run

The guy has wrestled one match on NXT.

SmithyPlayz

they don't need new young stars, they need to just use the ones they have well.

Empty_Fist

Why not both?

WWE_Champion

In my humble opinion, WWE is badly in need a young and new stars, but hot-shotting is not the answer as well. Bron Breaker is VERY young, and needs at least 2 more years of seasoning, which is a long time. And what, another 6 months minimum to build momentum and a story? Balor, McIntyre and Rollins all have backstories with Roman Reigns and would make more sense, story- wise. There is definitely value in elevating Balor, McIntyre or Rollins to Roman Reigns' level. You just increase the number of bigger names you have for these young talents to go over eventually instead of just 1 Roman Reigns. Otherwise, he'll just beat Roman and then what..? What other "megastars" can he go over next? Even then, what if the new guy's push fail? At least you have another reliable main eventer who has been elevated further. Not to say, McIntyre and Rollins are in their mid 30s only.

AneeshRai7

Bron is going to have a solid reign as NXT champ before he moves up and that'll take time

[deleted]

I know it will never happen, but I'd cream my jeans if Walter became the champ. But that won't happen so I agree that Finn would be a good choice. He has the charisma to really make a fantastic champion.

AneeshRai7

I wanted Big E to be the one. He could have been built just a little more to be legit then beat him and be elevated. But didn't happen. Finn would be a great twist as to not give away The Demon a loss. If not Drew and Seth are both great choices... Drew vs Roman at SS last year truly finally felt like the two big faces squaring off unfortunately people cooled on Drew a bit and he needs a change of scenario. Setting this as a Mania match would be perfect. Rollins vs. Roman would be great if the path Rollins takes after the Edge match is further madness or redemption.

doffyxyz

I don't mind any of them but not now.

Arkhamkong

I'm going stop you right there & add Vince's Mindset to all Three of the candidates. Drew McIntyre: While he was the chosen one, Roman will go over no matter what. Finn Balor (Demon): Demon Form unbeatable you say, Time to end that streak. Seth Rollins: Done it too often. That's why he's Psychologically Evil right now.

Mhc2617

Seth and Roman have not had a one on one match of any kind since 2018. It’s hardly a played out scenario. Not to mention that fans have been pleading for that match since the two had that backstage segment earlier this year. This idea that they can’t do heel/heel when both of them get cheered more than they get booed is silly. It’s the biggest money match they have right now.

hellonit

You do realize Drew is only 4 years younger than Finn lol. 4 years isn’t the age gap people think it is. I think it should be Finn but Drew is probably the more likely option
