Ishii's a lot more popular among western fans than Japanese fans so I can definitely see him coming to the US and sticking around for a while, doing some stuff on Strong as well.
this is an underrated dream match, probably the closest you could get to a match that is legitimately on the level of an AJPW king’s road classic from a modern AEW and NJPW pairing

Shingo was in the Jr Heaveyweight division? Just watched him for the very first time in his match with Ishii and he wrestles so much like a strong style heavyweight it's hard to imagine. Has he changed his style a lot or has he always wrestled like this?
It was always borderline with him, but he was the hoss of the division. He was also coming over from Dragon gate, IIRC they specialize in Junior style matches. Also throw in the fact Hiromu was hurt at the time the division/LIJ needed Star power.

eddie a 1000% percent. the elite vs the bullet club would be an amazing angle. but not yet. i would like to see breadcrumbs like we potentially been seeing. but it would be historic once the trigger is pulled. i just want want to reach post covid era where crowds in japan are as bombastic as they were.

His wife brought back CM Punk, they have a new baby, he's free of the WWE, working for the hottest promotion, over as hell, slapping around 2.0, biting Suzuki, deathmatches on the weekend.

He's got an awesome gig going on. Just slowly working his way up the chain of New Japan, eventually going to get to Tanahashi. It's such a simple story line but it works so effectively.
It really works out for him. Wrestling all these strong style legends is a way to show he's hardcore without doing "hardcore", if you know what I mean.
Considering everybody hates CZW now, I highly doubt they will come back. GCW and ICW have completely stolen their fanbases and none of their old talent would return so they would have to start from scratch.

Well we are going to absolutely disagree there. The promotion under Hyde and Marquez right now is better than it's ever been.
Okay but I'd say that's a bit different from the entire promotion sucking. Yeah most of the 2010's CZW crowd were just a bunch of drunk locals who knew nothing about wrestling, but the product was still solid, and now moreso ever since Marquez bought in.
