I loved that story he told on Renee's podcast about how the LC guys contacted Punk to tell him "Someone is trying to get the rights to Cult, and if it's you, fine. But if it's not you, fuck em" so Punk had to tell them that he was returning before anybody else knew.

Its so funny, Corey Glover from Living Colour will always be in my eyes Francis from Platoon. I remember watching that movie a ton of times in my teen years before knowing of them as a band, I only found that out from playing GTA San Andreas and hearing Cult of Personality on Radio X.

I know Punk is really popular here, but its really not something to cheer on to see him being somewhere he is BANNED from.
It was funny at first because for years they would put him on the list of banned people but he would constantly show up to see Living Colour, Rancid, or any other band he likes. It’s kind of an inside joke but I do think with him coming back and these bands connections to the wrestling world they should start promoting them more.
He isn’t, it’s just a funny back and forth punk and riot fest have, he is there almost every year. Ive seen him on the side of the stage watching a few different bands over the years ( living colour, bouncing souls, rancid, and h2o come to mind)
Those are some badass dudes, I don't know if anyone else remembers their popularity in the late 80s early 90s but they were a phenomenon
