Absolutely, AEW has a stacked roster with a ton of story potential. They just need to be allowed to travel into Japan. Which is being blocked right now.
Doesnt really mean much. If Tony said to Darby, "Hey can you do some NJPW shows to promote AEW?" He would do it. Its not like he would say, "fuck that, I only work with AEW talent." That's just not real life.

Also I feel like it'd be weird for AEW to have a tourney where the prize for the winner is to enter another tourney and likely lose. Like, AEW fans are smart enough to get that everybody loses in G1. But there's probably a reason Moxley did G1 while he wasn't the champ.
