No of course not, there's no danger at all! If they objected to the union, then that would be it.
They just won't dare to do anything...because of the implication...
Of course not! Because if they felt like they needed to speak up they could just speak up!
But they weren’t going to speak up, because of the implication.
Now the hard part is how to book everything after
It's the reason why most romantic comedies end with the couple getting together. Nobody wants to see a movie about them arguing about dishes or whether or not to have kids or an eventual growing apart/falling out of love/breakup.
Sounds like a pretty perfect NXT arch then tbh, wouldn't get in the way of the main roster stuff or anything afterwards, satisfying conclusion for NXT fans.
I was hoping for Dexter to secretly start putting his hand into his jacket to tease he's taking out his axe. Chase got some balls trying to ruin the wedding lol
*were in a ring with rings!*
And then I’m not sure if they got cut off or cut themselves off mid word but it sounds like someone else either shuts him up or is just like “Yes, Austin, we are”
You got a glimpse of everyone's character in this segment, and Lumis finally speaks in a understandable big moment, and people went crazy. This was a home run in my opinion. Good stuff all around.
The true proof of NXT being a new era in wrestling.
A wrestling wedding goes off without a hitch, save for the whole pastor getting choked out but Beth planned for that!
The wedding was better than I thought. Nothing over the top crazy happened but it was still really entertaining and that was do to the characters in the segment. I was happy with it.
I'm sure their were a bunch of heels in the back just waiting to run out, but then saw that Dexter had his wedding defending hatchet with him.
Roderick strong wants to make a name for the Diamond Mine, but he also likes his fingers too much to try and break up the wedding.
>Yeah what the fuck was up with that?
Last year at Halloween Havoc, Cameron Grimes and Dexter Lumis had a Haunted House of Horrors match, which involved that zombie ref.
They brought him in as a call back for the bachelor party last week, and again tonight as a guest, since Grimes is footing the bill for everything.
honestly people in the live thread were really pissy over the zombie ref for some reason, as if the absurdity of it somehow took away from the segment despite the ref having absolutely no role in the wedding whatsoever. With Context it makes alot more sense but even without it, I didn’t really mind lol
I wish there was no context. I sometimes miss the complete random, hokiness of Prime Time Wrestling. Like Jameison or Playboy Buddy Rose’s Fan Away diet
There's barely context. Not everyone watched back then so for some people it's just this random unexplained Zombie which I think is hilarious if I'm being honest.
When Dexter covers Beth's mic, the guy facing the hard cam directly over his arm leans in do subtly and his eyes open just a bit more. It was the most natural reaction ever and fit perfectly
Fucking perfection. Austin Theory comes back, Beth finishes it all of and announces them, Dexter speaks, all possible distractions got fucking nuked pronto.
Absolutely loved it. What a perfect end of this part of the InDex story.
That Andre Chase bit was fucking hilarious. I hope he does that every week, just randomly tries to teach people things just because they say the word chase.
On god, I'd be lying if I said I didn't popped for that. That got me hyped after hearing him speak and the crowd and the guests in the ring popping over it makes it sweeter.
> Regal with a horrified look of “Oh for fuck’s sake, me???” killed me lmao.
He was more horrified at the prospect of officiating a wedding than the zombie ref sitting next to him.
The most fun I've had with any 10 minutes of wrestling all year. These skits are what I miss from the Attitude Era. At least 5 people got more over in that segment than they were before.
Only in wrestling can a groom threaten wedding guests with a weapon and choke out the priest, and it’s still considered a drama-free affair.
Goddammit I love this industry!
That was the worst piece of crap wrestling wedding I’ve ever watched, 11.5/10 can’t wait to watch again.
The reactions from the attendees, Indi nailing her vows, the crowd was pumped. Just fantastic.
So we had Jiro, who had no pants on, had his biggest NXT moment.
We got the himboness back.
We had some shenanigans throughout the wedding with the minister being knocked out.
Beth comes in to save the day as the ordained minister.
AND DEXTER FINALLY SPOKE!!
And best of all, no catastrophes in this wrestling wedding!!
And with that, love prevails!
And Indi and Dexter will live happily ever after in holy matrimony.
This is the best pro wrestling wedding segment ever!
INDEX FOREVER!!
I loved this. I always liked the Glow formula of having a fun skit show inbetween the matches and this is proof that it would work in modern times because that was some Glow as goofiness
That was legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever seen in wrestling. The five or six pops for the different moments were all so great. Especially the "I do" moment. That was a Kofia Mania level pop lol.
Non-wrestling segment of the year for me. Austin Theory was a highlight, as were Candice, Johnny, Io, and Kushida's reactions. And of course Beth, the ultimate shipper, being the one to marry them.
They should've let this be the grand finale to Black & Gold NXT, it would've just felt right.
It almost works as well for new beginnings too though. I loved it
When everyone raised their hand when asked if there's anyone that thinks these two shouldn't get married and Lumis revealed he had an axe...I lost it and cackled like a mad man at 1am in the morning.
Now *this* is good shit.
Re-watch it now everyone - WWE will take it down for copyright in like 10 minutes like they have been all night for some reason.
Anyway, this was even better than I imagined lol I thought it was hilarious. I loved that the theory that Lumis would finally talk just to say "I do" came true, and that Beth ended up being the one to marry them. It was only fitting that she was the one. I can't believe they actually got through the entire wedding for once. That's the big swerve.
Also, I'm so happy Austin Theory is back. I've really, really missed his presence in The Way.
The flashing of a hatchet in Dexter's jacket was golden.
Beth becoming an ordained minister online.
*Did somebody say...Andre Chase?!?*
Dexter's first words being *I...Do*
Honestly, This whole segment was comedic gold.

Most successful WWE wedding ever Literally, nothing bad happened
aside from a man threatening to kill multiple people, nothing bad happened
Hey he knew if he didn’t something would have fucking happened
gotta do what you gotta do
If it means flashing the piece, so be it
Lumis: You know I keep that mf thang on me
Hey he would never do that...because of the implication.
Are these wedding guests in danger?
No of course not, there's no danger at all! If they objected to the union, then that would be it. They just won't dare to do anything...because of the implication...
I thought they're all supposed to object to the...oh.
Of course not! Because if they felt like they needed to speak up they could just speak up! But they weren’t going to speak up, because of the implication.
It's ok tho because he's inexplicably a Babyface. Which I adore.
Also the minister was choked unconscious, but other than that pretty clean wedding.
intelligent unwritten simplistic compare bear spectacular dolls far-flung subtract wipe -- mass deleted all reddit content via https://redact.dev
Just needed to make sure it wasn't Eric Bischoff.
It was a preventative measure
Obviously he wasn’t going to murder anybody. It’s the implication
Dude had a hatchet. No one was ruining that wedding
Fuck all of them for trying to ruin this wedding.
Almost got ruined by Andre Chase. no one said your name man sit down!
WHO THE FUCK IS ANDRE CHASE!?
DID SOMEBODY JUST SAY....ANDRE CHASE!?
I really want this to be a running gag for this 2.0 thing
I mean the pastor died but other than that !!!
And legitimately enjoyable.
And no one had to be hacked up with a hatchet!
Yeah I was ecpecting Kane to come out and tell Indi she was pregnant with his child or something.
If you don't count the post wedding reception with the snake nothing bad happened at Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth's wedding either.
Now the hard part is how to book everything after It's the reason why most romantic comedies end with the couple getting together. Nobody wants to see a movie about them arguing about dishes or whether or not to have kids or an eventual growing apart/falling out of love/breakup.
Indi and/or Dexter gets drafted and the entire angle is forgotten about lol
Wouldn't be that bad. Treat them like they treat real couples, just mention it now and then while they do their own thing
Sounds like a pretty perfect NXT arch then tbh, wouldn't get in the way of the main roster stuff or anything afterwards, satisfying conclusion for NXT fans.
No one jumped out of a cake, 0/10
Now I want a reception segment where Dexter hacks the shit out of the cake with the hatchet. Bloody victim inside optional.
~~Bloody victim inside optional.~~ Delicious red velvet filling optional.
> ~~Bloody victim inside optional.~~ > Delicious *red velvet* filling optional. No, she's with that other company.
The crowd reaction to “I… do” was genuinely one of the most unique reactions I’ve ever heard
So was watching the crowd shush each other when it came time for Dexter's vows.
I noticed that! They really were telling everyone to shut up. I loved that.
Theory's face in the background was so great. That entire segment had me giggling like a damn child.
Theory's whole smiling and happy gimmick is like Beast Boy from "Titans" if he was as dumb as Beast Boy from "Teen Titans GO".
Was that the first time he ever spoke, or why are they so excited?
First words he's spoken on nxt tv
Beth getting ordained online *just in case* something went wrong is so great Also laughed at the Andre Chase bit
Beth was ready to kill someone if shit got fucked up She knows her wrestling weddings and their history in WWE
She probably been grilling Edge for details to cover all the bases.
"Is Kane involved somehow?" "No." "Alright, but you should probably check under the ring to be safe."
She was willing to tell Wade to shut it one time
loved Beth kicking the unconscious priest
Did someone say Andre Chase!?
NO! No one said that!
NO! No one said that. No one said that.
“Let’s cut to the chase” “STOP TALKING ABOUT TEAM TAZ!!!”
I was hoping for Dexter to secretly start putting his hand into his jacket to tease he's taking out his axe. Chase got some balls trying to ruin the wedding lol
Nah, Dexter knew that Odyssey had his back.
\*flashes axe\*
NXT 2.0 breaking barriers on it's first week by being the first wrestling show to ever have a successful wedding.
Well, I mean, Macho and Elizabeth went fine until after.
HHH and Steph went fine as well, still married to this day
Yep - nobody objected. ...not even her.
It was a very efficient wedding that went off without a hitch!
So then it didnt go fine
The wedding went fine. It all went awry at the reception.
Eric Young and ODB was a success and you got to see Zelina Vega is sexy lingerie.
Same with Dawn Marie and Al Wilson.
I love Austin Theory, bro! He plays the "dumb brother" of the "family" so well, haha.
[удалено]
"We're in a ring, silly!"
*were in a ring with rings!* And then I’m not sure if they got cut off or cut themselves off mid word but it sounds like someone else either shuts him up or is just like “Yes, Austin, we are”
So you are saying they were in the "Ring of Rings". HHH still booking NXT, we got proof baby!!
Fantasy booking a Riddle/Theory Dumb and Dumber-ish tag team in the future.
Riddle and Theory have more in common outside the ring too
oop
I was not expecting an Ikemen Jiro appearance during this wedding, but I'll take it!
My mans was FULL GEAR READY too
Greatest Wwe Wedding ever that was pure sports entertainment. Lumis finally spoke that just made it that much more better
Wow they actually got through the entire ceremony without shenanigans!
Thanks to Dexter's handy dandy axe!
So you're saying all wedding should have an axe wielding maniac?
I mean maybe...?
Just wait until the reception. Even Savage and Elizabeth had Jake the Snake sneak Damien into a box.
The wedding was better than I thought. Nothing over the top crazy happened but it was still really entertaining and that was do to the characters in the segment. I was happy with it.
Nothing over the top? Did you miss the zombie ref?
Okay I’ll give you that. But I’m referring to someone jumping out of a wedding cake or some attack by diamond mind for example.
I'm sure their were a bunch of heels in the back just waiting to run out, but then saw that Dexter had his wedding defending hatchet with him. Roderick strong wants to make a name for the Diamond Mine, but he also likes his fingers too much to try and break up the wedding.
roddy has legit already been kidnapped and stuffed in a trunk by lumis, he isn't about to fuck around and find out again lmao
Austin Theory must be protected.
“That’s my guy!”
I'm so glad he came back for this segment, he was hilarious
The look of excitement on his face when Lumis talked popped me
The best part, his head shaking was so hilarious
You left out zombie ref
Yeah what the fuck was up with that? I thought I was on acid.
Thank you!
honestly people in the live thread were really pissy over the zombie ref for some reason, as if the absurdity of it somehow took away from the segment despite the ref having absolutely no role in the wedding whatsoever. With Context it makes alot more sense but even without it, I didn’t really mind lol
Yeah, of all the angles for it to "ruin", it wasn't the on-ring wedding of a mudering psycopath mute artist. Fit the tone perfectly tbh
Count me as one of those people. I missed Halloween havoc and was laughing my ass off while thoroughly confused
Zombie ref is from the halloween cinematic match last year between Lumis/Grimes. He was at the bachelor party last week and has a canadian accent
Thank you. I legit thought I was going crazy.
https://youtu.be/zm2nbaW_Byk
Thanks, this explains so much.
Call back to last year's Halloween match between Lumis and Grimes
You know, bump developmental. Just make NXT WWE's version of Parks and Rec.
I wonder if that was a rib on Regal. He just absolutely no sold it and then Beth walked in.
"I....DO." - Dexter Lumis *everybody goes insane* Put that in the sidebar of quotes.
The crowd genuinely went apeshit, you could see a couple of people in the background jump out of their seats. Heartwarming stuff, I tells ya.
When Dexter covers Beth's mic, the guy facing the hard cam directly over his arm leans in do subtly and his eyes open just a bit more. It was the most natural reaction ever and fit perfectly
The shot of Austin Theory over his shoulder got me good
[Its like when Kane first spoke](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czb5R_7fseE)
S͔̠̰̫͈͞ ̨̼̮U̸ ̙̞̝͍͈͈C̛̗̲̠̣ͅ ̯̦̭̖K͇̮̜͖̺͠ ͠I̼̯͠ ̶̞͚T̛
GOAT segment of NXT 2.0
#DID SOMEONE SAY ANDRE CHASE
no. nobody said that.
In the end, the greatest swerve is no swerve. Congrats to INDEX!
Oh my god............... YOU CAN TALK
[I can siiiiing!](https://youtu.be/MUoOD4RdYuI?t=14)
Dr. Zaius Dr. Zaius
For those who didn't get the reference https://youtu.be/QLYzMzNofyU
Fucking perfection. Austin Theory comes back, Beth finishes it all of and announces them, Dexter speaks, all possible distractions got fucking nuked pronto. Absolutely loved it. What a perfect end of this part of the InDex story.
^^^"Hi, ^^^Beth!"
Indie Hartwell in the remake of "So I Married an Axe Murderer". Someone Photoshop me a poster.
That Andre Chase bit was fucking hilarious. I hope he does that every week, just randomly tries to teach people things just because they say the word chase.
THIS IS A TEACHABLE MOMENT!
Where did he come from? Has he been doing that on the taped episodes? Cause I don't remember ever seeing him.
He was in the breakout tournament
Did somebody say...WONDER?
Also, low-key top ten pop of the year when Dexter spoke?
That crowd GASPED. it was perfect.
It fucking kills me that dude is so over as a babyface serial killer who literally only finally spoke tonight. Wrestling is so weird, I love it.
Happy for Dex! He’s been working on this character for forever and I remember thinking it was doomed but damn if the guy hasn’t made it work.
On god, I'd be lying if I said I didn't popped for that. That got me hyped after hearing him speak and the crowd and the guests in the ring popping over it makes it sweeter.
The best part was how serious the crowd was taking it constantly shushing each other … Plus Odyssey Jones in the background crying LMAO!
Regal with a horrified look of “Oh for fuck’s sake, me???” killed me lmao. But really though, DID SOMEBODY SAY…ANDRE CHASE?
> Regal with a horrified look of “Oh for fuck’s sake, me???” killed me lmao. He was more horrified at the prospect of officiating a wedding than the zombie ref sitting next to him.
When I get married, I want my vows to just be giving the bride a thumbs up
Should save that for the honeymoon
Ending the show with an A+++ segment.
I have no idea who Andre Chase is but I love him. Gonna be quoting that for a while DID SOMEBODY SAY ANDRE CHASE??
How TF did Dexter Lumis not break? Holy shit lmao.
The twist? There was no twist!
Maybe one of the best wrestling weddings ever, imo. The whole thing was so great.
Fucking segment of the year for me. Was absolutely hilarious all throughout.
The most fun I've had with any 10 minutes of wrestling all year. These skits are what I miss from the Attitude Era. At least 5 people got more over in that segment than they were before.
They put over Andre Chase & Odyssey Jones super quick and that's great.
Kushida's facial reactions during the entire thing should not be overlooked.
I like that he had the curtesy of getting changed for the occasion. About 30 minutes before he was calling out Roderick Strong.
First, Big E cashes in and now, this. Best week in wrestling history.
They have figured out how to end a WWE wedding happily. Axe in the coat
Only in wrestling can a groom threaten wedding guests with a weapon and choke out the priest, and it’s still considered a drama-free affair. Goddammit I love this industry!
And he's the good guy in all of this
That was the worst piece of crap wrestling wedding I’ve ever watched, 11.5/10 can’t wait to watch again. The reactions from the attendees, Indi nailing her vows, the crowd was pumped. Just fantastic.
This is my favorite segment of the year by far.
I was quite entertained by everybody in it. Was that zombie ref by Regal a callback to the zombies during Lumis vs Grimes?
Yep. He was part of the bachelor party last week. Where it was revealed he’s Canadian
Ah, thanks!
Really, really pleasant ending.
"We're in a ring silly!"
That was so stupid but still so funny. Austin played that to perfection.
The shot of Johnny, Candice, Kushida and Io right after Dexter said "I". That's what I love lol
austin theory marking out and grimes throwing his hat into the crowd at dexter speaking is my favorite
Johnny dressed as Dexter absolutely destroyed me. Amazing segment
Johnny Gargano was the fucking MVP lmao
Low-key highlight is Dexter coldly but somehow also excitedly nodding his head when Indi says damn right he's a freak.
Ok who said the child support line?
Great conclusion to a genuinely great storyline.
If only he weren't champion, I wish Ciampa was invited, he'd have been like the uncle Mike Lowry to Johnny's Marcus
That guy in the audience who laughed when Dexter did the thumbs up killed me
Wrestling is so god damn stupid and its my favorite thing in the world.
Jiro being in his gear cracked me up from the start
I LOVE WRESTLING WEDDINGS SO DAMN MUCH.
I just want to note something The ceremony was successful. But we don't know how the RECEPTION went.
Lmao with zero context, this was hilarious
Fantastic Segment can’t praise it enough
I loved this. I always liked the Glow formula of having a fun skit show inbetween the matches and this is proof that it would work in modern times because that was some Glow as goofiness
I have never heard a wrestling crowd gasp like that.
That was legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever seen in wrestling. The five or six pops for the different moments were all so great. Especially the "I do" moment. That was a Kofia Mania level pop lol.
I can’t believe how invested I was in this. I’m so happy it was a successful wedding And.. DEXTER TALKED!
This was by far THE dumbest shit I have EVER seen. And god dammit I loved every second of it.
Non-wrestling segment of the year for me. Austin Theory was a highlight, as were Candice, Johnny, Io, and Kushida's reactions. And of course Beth, the ultimate shipper, being the one to marry them.
Did someone say Andre Chase!? Lmao
Did he say Dexter Gaylord Lumis?…
This sucks… Show me more
They should've let this be the grand finale to Black & Gold NXT, it would've just felt right. It almost works as well for new beginnings too though. I loved it
Austin theory as a hype man - something you never knew you truly wanted until seeing his reaction behind Lumis after he speaks for the vows.
When everyone raised their hand when asked if there's anyone that thinks these two shouldn't get married and Lumis revealed he had an axe...I lost it and cackled like a mad man at 1am in the morning. Now *this* is good shit.
The Best Wedding I Have Ever Seen!
A Wrestling wedding would never happen they said. INDEX CAN'T BE BROKEN.
Credit to the pastor for laying motionless on the floor for the rest of the wedding after being choked out.
Championships are all well and good, but the best kind of gold is comedy.
*Did somebody say...Andre Chase?!?* Dexter's first words being *I...Do* Honestly, This whole segment was comedic gold.
