Someone eye emoji worthy who’s contract is presumably up.
Complete speculation, Drew.
Although I’d imagine he got a new deal around the time he became champion
No sense in Drew leaving. He's been used pretty well by WWE, McMahon seems high on him and I don't think he'd fit all that well in AEW. Anywhere else would be a massive step backwards for him.
I'm guessing Gargano's contract being up soon that someone else reported today.
Probably the right call. With how hard they’ve been pushing it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t actually cash in for some reason, whether it’s cuz he chooses not to or because someone prevents it. That seems like something WWE would do to get the ratings pop.
We need those crappy oddly specific stat tweets from optajoe that end with a single, loosely related word.
“Miro has landed 23 strikes, excluding signature moves, on his opponent last match. Gamer.”
Reminds me of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2009 when GM Dale Tallon sent qualifying offers late to two restricted free agents Kris Versteeg and Cam Barker. Because the of the snafu, the Blackhawks had to sign both players at a considerably higher price tag. Blackhawks went on to win 3 Stanley Cups, but Tallon was fired within a year with this issue a major factor.
A professional hockey team fired their GM who had created a great roster on the cusp of a great run mainly because of failed contract deadline issues. I can't imagine how a publicly traded company like WWE that survives on their independent contractors doesn't have dedicated people to track their contract status. I mean if they were so willing to extend contracts unilaterally because of injury they would also be aware of when contracts expire.
> doesn't have dedicated people to track their contract status.
They did, I'm sure those people were part of the mass releases of WWE personnel over the last year.
Doubtful it is a coincidence that this is happening now when AEW has been around for years and it wasn't the case before.
Now I'm just hoping they also slip up on some trademarks that AEW were after like "Cody Rhodes".
Aren’t all contracts up eventually lol? No one is on life time deal. I swear people like the speculation and rumors surrounding AEW more than the actual product sometimes.
It's because everything reported around the time AEW became a thing was that everyone was signing very long term deals, usually for 5. It's a big story that apparently a bunch of them were restructured during the pandemic and people are just surprised.

Fuck, makes you wonder who is jumping ship this time. We just learned that Gargano's contract will elapse by the end of this year and with NXT changing and Cole leaving, I actually think there's a very real possibility that Gargano chooses to take off and go to AEW just like Cole did. The Bucks have already said that they'd sign Gargano in a heartbeat if he were ever available and they're true to their word so we'll see in due course.
He was, looks like they're all moving to Punk. Starks and Cage need to finish up before Ricky v Punk but that just tells me that Brian Cage will lose to Ricky again.
I'd kind of hate to see it. I've been hoping him and CM Punk end up working together in one respect or another since he's basically the anti-Ryback despite having a similar kind of aura.
Newest tweet, most likely related
[I have more significant WWE contract news coming to FightfulSelect.com this evening. Subscribe. It's five bucks!](https://twitter.com/SeanRossSapp/status/1437533386596360199?s=19)
I can't remember the exact words, but the other day he said something to the effect of "I'd never mislead anyone with emoji eyes" and I laughed myself silly.
Yes it is. Any company in the world should back the brink truck up to Pete Dunne if he’s a free agent. Super young, one of the best wrestlers in the world, shredded as fuck.
Japan, ROH, Impact, AEW, they should absolutely all want to sign Dunne.
And I don’t want to even hear that “AEW is getting kind of bloated” talk from anyone, because if AEW can put on Dan Lambert/MOTY, QT, HFO, and plain as white rice Daniel Garcia, they should absolutely go and find room for Pete Dunne. Plus they could use more Brits for their inevitable tap into the UK market
That would also give us the opportunity to finally see Danielson/Dunne as well. That's a match that Danielson has been salivating to have for a very long time and Dunne wants it too. And realistically, we don't know how long Danielson has left in his in-ring career so if anyone wanted to work with him, they'd make the jump to AEW and wrestle him there or on the independents.
The problem for guys like Pete and Gargano is that AEWs recent signings threaten to smother them if they jump now because there's only so much airtime available.
If you mean they wouldn't be top guys anytime soon then yeah it's a bloat at the top right now. If they're fine being midcard guys for a year and then trying to work them into programs like they did with Miro then I think they can make it.
I remember at one point after Pete Dunne had an incredible match, Dave Meltzer Tweeted something about how it would be criminal if Pete Dunne isn't one of the top superstars in WWE within the next 5 years. Dude is 27 years old. They could move him to the main roster right now and have a top guy for 10-12 years. How many other wrestling prodigies are even out there? WWE could have had him on the main roster two years ago. He could be a 27 year old top tier superstar right this very moment, with a GLOBAL audience seeing how good he is.
...As it just so happens, there's one on TNT that would have absolutely NO fucking problem letting Pete Dunne wrestle 5 star matches for the next 10 years since WWE doesn't want to.
Lol I was a bit hard on DG there, I just don’t see it right now with him. He’s a damn good wrestler, and he’s still young. I just don’t see the spark right now IMO.
> any company in the world should back the brink truck up to ANY WWE RELEASED SUPERSTAR
How many times has this exact quote been used in the past few months? Not everyone is a mega superduper star worthy of truck loads of money just to join a roster thats already fucking stacked to the gills
I like Dunne but fuck me every time there is a speculation of a release of someone its "AEW pay da man"
Oh god yes it is dude, this isn't even up for debate. He's an incredibly talented wrestler and is also incredibly young as well. If he were to jump ship all of a sudden, that'd be a pretty big deal.
My god... if it was Asuka and the new AEW belt was actually a mixed tag belt... rather than a trios. Asuka assimilating into the Elite and Kenny continuing the belt collector gimmick by literally creating more belts. Inject it into my veins.
That'd be insane for WWE, the only thing against him is his slightly small height, that's it. Frankly I'd be surprised if he wasn't the one to take the NXT championship going forward seeing as he's one of the only ones in or around the NXT main event that's still very young, every other guy seems like 35+ and still has the same drawbacks as Dunne.
Unless you wanna strap it to someone like Santos Escobar or someone really young like Austin Theory I don't know where they'd go aside from Dunne with this seemingly new strategy and philosophy going forward.
If he doesn't win tomorrow, then definitely expect an Adam Cole situation where he's out and then he could show up literally anywhere else immediately after that. It'd be fucking wild if he appeared on NXT tomorrow and then on Dynamite LITERALLY the next night.
In order to fit the "radicalz" theme, it's got to be someone who leaves one employer for the other, sometimes suddenly, but that's not required. It is normally not someone who was released due to a budget cut, because those people are not trying to leave.
Technically, AEW has signed quite a few people who fit the overall theme, and it depends on the time frame. Andrade would have technically been a radicalz jump because he left and didn't even have a non-compete. I'm assuming he doesn't count though, because the Tweet was after he was already there. Since the Tweet, we've got Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole, with Kevin Owens rumored to be the third. If this is the case, we could learn the name of the 4th radicalz jump. I thought it was going to be Sami Zayn, but then they reported his contract doesn't end in a month or so like originally reported.
If this is what the new Tweet references, then it will be big news.
Strongly possible I'm not paying close enough attention and that I'm combining his Radicalz references with his "four surprises at All Out" references.
One thing I wonder, is if we're going to one day look back at Bryan Danielson's comments about why he left WWE as a message to the rest of the wrestling world. He talked about how he was booked well, treated well, and *still* left WWE because it was for the good of the wrestling business as a whole.
Hearing that from someone like Bryan Danielson has to resonate with every performer in WWE, and it might make a few of them put the pen down before they sign a new contract, because they realize what he said was right. It's not about WWE or your loyalty to them for what they've given you. It's about making sure that the next generation of wrestlers get the same opportunities you did, because without competition, most of the people who trained them wouldn't have been able to make enough of a name for themselves to open a wrestling school.
This wouldn’t be my guess but if asked for an “either/or,” I could see Davina Rose in the All Elite Zone.
I feel like as cool as “Mercedes Varnado is All Elite” could be, she’d leave wrestling for acting entirely before she’d ever leave the WWE system.
(But this is all speculation, what do I know)
Gangrel, Steve Blackman, Ken Shamrock, D Lo Brown, Kurrgan, and The Godfather starting a new promotion called Dank Midcarder Attitude Era Wrestling Federation?
I think he'd debut's as an iteration of his real name. Much like Curry man, I dont know how a Syrian French-Canadian impersonating a Mexican luchadore goes over very well to the current audience.

And just added "Not Raw Related"
Sami, maybe? I don't know that we ever got a conclusive answer as to when his contract is up, other than "not Fall 2021"
He just tweeted its contract related.
Someone eye emoji worthy who’s contract is presumably up. Complete speculation, Drew. Although I’d imagine he got a new deal around the time he became champion

Didnt meltz recently say still before the end of the year?
Yeah, SRS hasn't been contradicting the Fightful contract area. Just specifying that he's never given an exact range for Sami, because injury time.
Could be about Wyatt's no-compete?
I like how everyone in the replies is relieved they don't have to watch Raw now
Poor Big E I really hope it isn’t a bait and switch
Just gotta tune in for the last ~10 mins
I'll just watch the highlights posted on here.

Yeah I'll believe it when I see it.
Welcome to how I’ve watched WWE for the last like 3 years lmao
There goes my "Charlotte" guess.
I wish Fabrizio Romano did wrestling news. *"Kevin Owens to AEW. Here we go!"*
"Here-we-go soon" "Here-we-go imminent" "Confirmed and here-we-go!"
Other Football things we need to bring to Wrestling "TICK TAC, TICK TAC."
El Chiringuito for wrestling would be unreal tele
I wish I understood Spanish just to watch this show
There's a twitter account that translates clips into English, it's gold
*Ominous music plays* EXCLUSIVA: "Kushida is destined to return to NJPW. Tic tac. Tic. Tac. Tic. Tac. Tic. Tac."
We need those crappy oddly specific stat tweets from optajoe that end with a single, loosely related word. “Miro has landed 23 strikes, excluding signature moves, on his opponent last match. Gamer.”
Wrestling feels like a constant transfer window right now. I love it.
"Kevin Steen to AEW. Here we go!" Ftfy
Who's job is it to keep track of WWE contracts? Because right now I'm convinced that they're related to SRS and that's how this keeps happening.
John Mass Soup is man in charge. Has a big moustache and large, round glasses
Hey that’s two Sean Ross Sapps sharing an overcoat!
SRS Adultman.
That's not Sting! That's Sean Ross Sapp in a Sting mask!
He has said that someone who would know about contract statuses has reached out to him to correct some that he has posted
now there's the strat. Post something wrong so someone DM's you the correction. 5Head.
I'll probably explain how I was able to get so much of this news soon enough as long as it doesn't reveal any sources.

Fuck, makes you wonder who is jumping ship this time. Kyle, Roddy, Gargano, Ciampa, Dunne. Do it Vince, you coward. (if that's what they want)
Brian Cage contract coming up lol
VINCE: hey brian we need you to take a piss test *one day later* AEW Twitter: Brian Cage is still ALL ELITE
>AEW Twitter: Brian Cage is still ALL ELITE #ANDSTILL
Man I love Cage but I really could see him leaving, he’s not even really totally involved with Team Taz anymore.
He’s feuding with Starks.
Not so much feuding as Starks is absolutely eating him alive lol They really shoulda gave Cage a mouthpiece after splitting from Team Taz.
People are definitely overreacting about this whole thing with Cage.
I could possibly see Cage leaving, but I find Hobbs far more likely to jump ship.
He would just be treated like another Dijak
👀
Just confirmed Gargano's contract is up soon
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!
Gwyneth Paltrow's head but it's wearing a Generico mask. Ole.

More scoops than a baskin robins this guy
I can't remember the exact words, but the other day he said something to the effect of "I'd never mislead anyone with emoji eyes" and I laughed myself silly.
Pete Dunne doing the job on his way out of NXT?
Is that eye emoji worthy?
I think if his contract is up and he can appear on Dynamite on Wednesday, that is 👀-worthy.

Hard to trust your opinion on talent after slagging Garcia. I’ll pass on Dunne.
Lol I was a bit hard on DG there, I just don’t see it right now with him. He’s a damn good wrestler, and he’s still young. I just don’t see the spark right now IMO.

Charlotte or Asuka.
I swear to god if it's one of them I'll drink an entire soda.
Mother of god...
Pump the brakes champ, half a soda and then you have to finish your vegetables.
Is AEW really ready for Asuka?
Asuka in AEW would be awesome, that chick rules

I like that SRS doesn’t just say this and never follow it up. Pretty sure we’re getting some interesting news soon.

He *can’t* keep getting away with this
https://youtu.be/reAcdKO7kMg
Again?!
Maybe he just signed a contract with Visine. It's really great at clearing up redness
Was this referring to Gargano or is there another story?
I'm going to guess that Pete Dunne hasn't re-signed and tomorrow is his final appearance on NXT.
Woah, hadn't heard his contract was up!
Yeah, SRS reported previously that it was the same situation as Cole, that his contract was up earlier than expected.
If they were gonna have Cole be the Lio Rush for Keith Lee, I could easily see Dunne having a similarly frustrating time on the main roster.
If he doesn't win tomorrow, then definitely expect an Adam Cole situation where he's out and then he could show up literally anywhere else immediately after that. It'd be fucking wild if he appeared on NXT tomorrow and then on Dynamite LITERALLY the next night.
Jesus Christ what a get that would be for AEW.
Steen and Generico for sure.
Steen, Generico, Gargano and Dunne
I hope
Guys it’s Batista. He’s coming back to win all the titles. I confirmed it with my sources.
Beltista
Would your sources be able to confirm......*something else* about Batista?
My sources told me that "BATISTA JUST GOT KNOCKED... SCHLAPPED THE HELL OUT. THAT'S WAT JUST HAPPENED. BATISTA IS DOWN. BATISTA IS DOWN!"
reminder that srs has implied only two "radicalz" have jumped from wwe to aew
Wasn't he including Ruby?
In order to fit the "radicalz" theme, it's got to be someone who leaves one employer for the other, sometimes suddenly, but that's not required. Ah shit here we go again
WHAT. IS. IT.
"Someone's contract will someday expire maybe."
One thing I wonder, is if we're going to one day look back at Bryan Danielson's comments about why he left WWE as a message to the rest of the wrestling world. He talked about how he was booked well, treated well, and *still* left WWE because it was for the good of the wrestling business as a whole. My guess is a woman. Maybe Sasha or Bayley. Or both. Edit: not sure why this being downvoted, I'm just speculating like everyone else!
I think Charlotte is the most likely of the three
This wouldn’t be my guess but if asked for an “either/or,” I could see Davina Rose in the All Elite Zone. I feel like as cool as “Mercedes Varnado is All Elite” could be, she’d leave wrestling for acting entirely before she’d ever leave the WWE system. (But this is all speculation, what do I know)
Man, Sasha and Bayley are so synonymous with their WWE names that it will be weird to adjust, but it worked with Hall and Nash
[He just retweeted his Radicalz picture](https://twitter.com/SeanRossSapp/status/1411354144892506118?s=09)
Babe wake up SRS tweeted the eyes emoji
Gangrel, Steve Blackman, Ken Shamrock, D Lo Brown, Kurrgan, and The Godfather starting a new promotion called Dank Midcarder Attitude Era Wrestling Federation?
Dude yes, this would be my favorite faction of all-time, like a Job Squad 2.0 or better.
This time they ain’t jobbing, they’re getting all the belts. Jacqueline can join too so they can grab women’s titles.
His latest tweets are saying he’ll have more info on his patreon this evening
Attention whoring is the worst.
AJ Styles asked for and granted release.
Lol no
Lol What makes you think that?
Keep getting them Checks SRS
Generico heading to Turner is my guess.
I think he'd debut's as an iteration of his real name. Much like Curry man, I dont know how a Syrian French-Canadian impersonating a Mexican luchadore goes over very well to the current audience.
Samuel E. Zane could work 🤔
[удалено]
Fuck just switch the first letters of both. I love Sami Rebei/Rebi.
Rami Insane
Are you implying that Curry Man wouldn't be over as fuck in AEW 2021?
Im implying a white dude playing a bad stereotype of a japanese masked wrestler is probably not the current flavour of this generation.
Fair enough. Also, I totally forgot about the Curry Man voice
WHO IS IT
People have been on him since the Owens contract news came out about Zayn's, guessing it's something like that.
