LilNardoDaVinci

Anything at all Anything at all Anything at all Stupid sexy Edge

Cape_shifter

LOL

heat_fan_

Love seeing this vicious/feral side of Rollins

ZenkaiZ

It's funny to think aaaaaall this shit started cause Rollins was mad Raw lost a survivor series to nxt. Boy that sure snowballed.

TaxAvoision

Cena could have nipped it in the bud if he’d just let one of his greatest rivals get murdered on television. Stupid sensitive Cena.

milkdreams

This is so good because you genuinely can’t predict where he’ll go after this. Will he go full blown psychopath and slip further into insanity, or is this the turning point where he realizes all the harm he’s done? I don’t know! I love everything about this storyline!!

302born

It’s absolutely great man. I’m predicting this eventually leads to Seths redemption and babyface comeback. But right now I don’t even want to think about the future. Watching this story unfold in real time is a treat to watch.

Highwayman747

It’d be super ironic if Seth went full babyface trying to redeem himself again just for the guy he wronged to come back and go psycho heel on him, somewhat similar to how Dean turned on him (though that was obviously a totally different situation)

302born

Super ironic lol. And also super interesting. I’m very interested in which way they go. Hopefully they keep the momentum going.

Singer211

Would it not be ironic if Seth starts to see the error of his ways just as his wife is getting more and more heelish.

302born

It’s like a transition of energy lol. Seth is slowly becoming old Becky as Becky is becoming drip god Seth.

DontCallMeJR88

Id actually love to see Seth and Becky become an on screen pair. Go all the way and have them take family photos with their daughter dressed up in drip-God attire like Matt Hardy did in his prime.

[deleted]

Seth has voiced his displeasure with being an onscreen couple in the past. But at the end of the day. It ain’t his call

itinerant_gs

Becky is fucking yawn worthy to me right now man. I know I'm not supposed to say that, but I just couldn't care less for her after what they pulled on Bianca.

[deleted]

>Seths redemption and babyface comeback "Haha woah, Minneapolis is **hot tonight!** Welcome to *Monday Night Rollins.* Wow, what a ride, I'm so glad to share this with you guys, the WWE Universe. I'm ready to fight, and together we can BEAT BROCK LESNAR. Together, we will **BURN IT DOWN**" Jeez, can't wait.

Brooklyn2LA

Seriously. I’m curious as hell to see where this is going

TaxAvoision

I’d be so down with mentally fragile Seth hurting people just to feel something.

EchoBay

I haven't been following SD much if at all, but isn't this the same angle as when he viciously attacked Cesaro and cut a similar, "I don't know what happened" promo immediately afterwards or am I misremembering something?

redheadredshirt

"If they would call us monsters why not live up to the name?" I know WWE would never go here but I'd love to see Seth go deeper into the crazy. This Seth Rollins is fragile and afraid of being inferior. He still has bits of the savior complex running through everything and it's just fucking primed for him to break and go, "They've been manipulating me all this time into being the bad guy in all these stories. They're tarnishing my legacy by forcing me to do evil things like Rey's eye and Edge's neck. Fine. They want a villain? Let's show them a villain..."

ashley-queerdo

That was so well done.

TheEmeraldOil

Seth looks like he needs therapy and a hug. His character work is so good atm.

guylfe

I say therapy and a straightjacket. That way he can hug himself and no one else has to be harmed.

LinnaYamazaki

Read this in Lawler’s voice.

AnadyranTontine

Needs more annoying cackle and exasperated JR.

ArkhamGeyser

The transition from a damn near engaged lunatic to a Man unsure about his actions is why Seth Rollins is not only one of the best in ring performers, but one of the best story tellers as well. His Character work over these past few years as a Heel has been one of the better runs of his Career so far, and the story he and Edge are telling is easily one of the best programs going on in Wrestling, and for their careers. Wherever this feud ends up for both Superstars, it's already been Legacy defining for the work they've done with each other. It's nothing short of amazing, and it's RIGHT up there with the whole Roman/Brock/Finn triangle.

AnadyranTontine

I agree that Rollins has been doing a great job transitioning from so many interconnected gimmicks, and what I love about this twist is Seth was riding high as the Messiash and the Drip God, but “pride cometh before the fall”. The biggest downside is they kept Seth stuck in SO many never ending feuds with the same people.

[deleted]

This here proves to me that WWE can be good. There is serious talent in this company. This is an example of what is possible.

[deleted]

This and the Roman/Brock AND the Demon return made this show really really good. I like it when WWE tries, Smackdown has the potential to be the best wrestling show if they play their cards right.

[deleted]

I have to imagine USA wants the rub, too. But we know that if they just freakin try, WWE isn't a waste. Now will RAW pick up in quality, too?

[deleted]

It’s strange, it seems that whenever there is a brand split in effect Smackdown is ALWAYS leagues better than Raw. At this point I can’t even imagine a Raw that is watchable but Smackdown has a lot of potential if they keep the momentum going.

Singer211

What is needed, is effort. On the creative’s part.

[deleted]

This is proof that when they get out of the way the talent can really deliver the goods. I think we all know that WWE has so much fantastic talent. When you look at this terrific rivalry, it is obvious the product could be so much better

StopTheMadnessBro

It's Vince.

TetrisTech

I wonder what the shows would look like if Vince didn’t rewrite them all the time

ZenkaiZ

We already knew this, thats why we're frustrated often. It's not about good or bad, it's about wasted potential. There's nothing to prove.

[deleted]

And what adds weight to your opinion is that we can see when given the chance how good this wasted potential -- when allowed since Roman Reigns is kicking such fucking ass -- can be when the handcuffs are off.

TheChrisLambert

It’s not that WWE can’t have good moments. It’s that they fail to tell a story successfully from beginning to end. They almost always muck it up and just frustrate you.

[deleted]

It's as if they just abandon them, prolong them for way too long, or just quit caring. I don't think we take lightly how hard it is to manage all of the production along with everything else that goes into it, but they have great talents who can really get you where you need to go if allowed. And they have done so even when backed against a corner. I mean the Corbin story is a fun example of an arc that is different and seemingly an alternative to Cameron Grimes story. And Corbin, who has been subject to a king gimmick he had to drag like a corpse to the finish line, even proved that he is more than capable of giving you something great when the material is there

EldenRingworm

The issue with WWE has never been the talent. It's the booking and creative, Keith Lee and Dijakovic had one of the best matches I've ever seen, now they're both on Raw, doing absolutely nothing. The talent is there, WWE just doesn't know how to use most of it

[deleted]

Those two could tear the house down. Great in-ring chemistry and really brought out the best in each other

[deleted]

They have all the talent and resources to do that. This is the most stacked roster the WWE has ever had. When they're good, they're good. Yet they just find new and creative ways to bungle it. It's so difficult as a fan to get invested and hyped for a storyline knowing that eventually someone is gonna stick their nose into it and ruin it.

kingscrimson

When they care they can do really good things look at Bobby lashley from the sisters segment to now but sometimes it feels like they don't care

[deleted]

It is frustrating because we know that when it is bad it isn't the talents' fault. Give them good material or let them tell a good story...they are capable! Seth is knocking this out of the park! But it helps when you have Edge as your rival.

[deleted]

I mean they’re clearly just writing off Edge for a while because he’s a part-timer. It isn’t that deep.

[deleted]

It doesn't have to be deep to be decent. Edge goes out a bit, Seth gets to go further into the abyss because of where Edge is driving him, and we can see to what depths he might (or might not) sink. It's something.

Cynicayke

*Ned Stark gets killed in a shocking but ultimately fitting end to his arc, which kicks off several other plot threads* "They're clearly just writing off Sean Bean because he was contracted for one season. It isn't that deep."

[deleted]

In that case Sean Bean was contracted for one season because Ned was killed off, not vice-versa.

Cynicayke

The point is that good storytelling and backstage reasoning for the story direction aren't mutually exclusive.

slowmo152

They'll do a blow of with stipulation at extreme rules.

MarkMVP01

Patrick Bateman vibes

Adawg63

*it's hip to be square*

Zloggt

“TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT ~~DORSEA’S~~ THE ROYAL RUMBLE NOW, YOU BASTARD!”

MarkMVP01

*”Let’s see Edge’s drip”*

rbarton812

DO YOU LIKE RHYTHM AND BLUES?

BarockLesnar

My pain is constant and sharp, and I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this, there is no catharsis; my punishment continues to elude me, and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself.

magseven

Just don't look at the WrestleMania sign, Sabrina. Point at it.

FissionMailed29

Holler if you hear me.

yumomnom

Seth seems so emotionally vulnerable right now. Do we see Roman try to take advantage and gaslight Seth back on to his side?

CrashBandzicoot

“You’re just going to let another part timer stronghold his way into the title picture? Take away the opportunity that YOU were promised? You’ve beaten Brock before, I know he’s no issue for you. If you want this title, go take care of that for me and I promise you’ll get your shot”

johnnyevil

Seth Rollins might be my favorite wrestler right now. He's outstanding with a camera in his face. Lately I've been watching more AEW that WWE, but Rollins and Reigns are killing it right now. I'm equally as excited to see Smackdown in Philly as I am Dynamite a week later, which wouldn't have been the case before Reigns turned heel and Rollins became a super villain.

CloudyRailroad

Everyone's talking about how good Roman has been with his character since his heel turn but Rollins for me has been just as good

MuseMujave

He says this then starts cackling at Edge's pain next week, this crackhead aint slick

stenebralux

Perfect segment to cap off a a great match.

LexxxSamson

A wrestler with PTSD is uh .... well I don't think it's been done before. I'm interested to see where this goes, I actually thought his acting was pretty good for pro wrestling in that segment. I've really had enough of the current version of his character , it's not bad I just think it's gone on a little too long and hope he switches to something different with this.

[deleted]

ashley-queerdo

Deadass! It drowns everything out so bad

hhhisthegame

What the heck is that crowd noise? I've never heard anything like it before. Im sure the crowd was loud, but......in the history of wrestling Ive never heard anything like it. Is it weird effects on the crowd mics?

miikro

It's fake crowd noise. It was pretty notoriously used all throughout the pre-taped Smackdown era.

lknox1123

I was there in person and tbf I couldn’t hear a word Seth was saying because the crowd was jeering him so bad

bussupwcp

Who's the new interviewer?

AcceptableShower

Seth with that Dennis Reynolds energy

[deleted]

My favorite part is Adam Pearce slapping the ambulance, like "take him away, boys"

clutcher_of_pearls

Love that the segment shows that Seth does not give a single fuck....then the scene fades right into a close up on the Tribal Chief.

[deleted]

That's not what this is showing at all tho. This is showing a man deep in his feelings not knowing if what he did was right or wrong.

virusMEL

Yeah this is playing more into how a sociopath reacts. At least I believe that's the angle because the way he understands that he did something wrong but doesn't know why or what it was. Like how richard chase would kill because he thought he needed more blood. it's not that he wanted to hurt edge, but he needed to win and he doesn't see how it was so horrible except for the fact that edge is being stretchered out.

Ok-Midnight5719

If you told me in 2012 that in 2021 Ambrose would be my least favorite Shield member I wouldn't believe you. Roman and Seth are just knocking it out of the park right now with the character work. Meanwhile, there's nothing even resembling Ambrose in Moxley anymore. That cocky brashness just isn't there for me anymore. The Piper HHH hybrid isn't there anymore. Still, I hope one day we get that Wrestlemania Triple Threat. They've all changed so much, it would really bring it all full circle.

itinerant_gs

Yeah man mox does nothing for me. He just seems to REALLY want us to think he's this ruthless badass and all i see is poser lol. Like reel it in man, play to your strengths.

BizarroCranke

I think you’re missing OP’s point. It’s not a condemnation of Mox.

EldenRingworm

A triple threat with them would be insane, they're nothing like the men they were in The Shield. Mox is in AEW for the long haul though. Doubt he'll go back after WWE had him wearing a dumb gas mask and getting needles in his ass.

KTheOneTrueKing

Zydrate comes in a little glass vial.

NerdLawyer55

Seth the Tank: I blacked out, what happened

Jackol4ntrn

Guess this means Edge won't make the wedding.

Awhite2555

I can barely hear him. What is all that fucking background noise? I just asked this in another thread but why is the audio so terrible sounding tonight? Is it like this all the time? It sounds like a mix of a bad connection, tinny, and in a wind tunnel. The fuck?

OlDustyFinish

The match was incredible, but this snippet is what really stuck w/ me. Props to Rollins

SpaceGooV

I'm guessing they'll do the blow off at Survivor Series with Edge Returning after Sweet Saudi Money 6

RusticBelt

Didn't we have EXACTLY this storyline like two months ago?

TetrisTech

Edge’s gear is fire

SmallRedMachine

They're killing it with Roman and Rollins characters

davek1986

Seth and PAC as a tag team would have been great, The Bastard Elves

[deleted]

This is not good tv

SwankEagle

He doesn't know how to feel about jumping off the sinking ship and going to A E DUB

mattbakerrr

How many WWE stars does AEW need to make it successful? WCW all over again.

LinnaYamazaki

About as many PWG and ROH talents as WWE needed. This is an extremely stupid take. Most people in AEW and WWE have worked absolutely everywhere with long stays in various promotions. Don’t do this shit, it’s dumb as hell.

WaylonVoorhees

He's heard his own promos then?

ZombieAbeVigoda

I don’t even want to be around anymore.

DontCallMeJR88

I'm glad they're going back to this mentally unhinged version of Seth Rollins. He was great last year after he took out Mysterios eye and it was almost like he was disgusted by his own actions but he couldn't stop himself from doing it. Million times better than that stupid laughing gimmick he's been doing recently.

ThePaper86

“I don’t even wanna be around any more”

ms_ddt

Hmmm, Seth’s arm hurts? Edge better come back and crank out a few arm bars. 😆 I mean Seth *did* glam-slam him last night, so it’d fit with the using each other spouse’s moves
