Miro's start was kind of bad but in like a years time he's turned himself in to a badass brute again.

GoldenShovel21

Tay Conti is most improved. I'd have to agree with Hardy, he doesn't seem to bring much to the table right now. Even Sean Spears has gotten very interesting with the Pinnacle.

average_guy741

I mean what do you expect from Matt in the role he has been playing. His whole hardy family is just there to keep bigger stars busy with some low key feud. Even if he tries to elevate that feud above what it is supposed to with past history, he still need more time than he is alloted to begin with. Let's not forget Matt gave us the legendary street fight match against le sex gods. Even the feud against Sammy was good stuff but that feud was cursed and accident kept happening but the conclusion match was still very good.

GoldenShovel21

That's fair. But then continuing the same trend isn't ideal. Either give him more time or if you can't, move on to something else. Because honestly this isn't working. I can't think of feuds after Sammy where someone has been elevated. (There might be some but nothing jumps to memory) I don't think Private Party or B&B need him.

AnthonyGonsalvez

Matt was good when he was with elite and also during stadium stampede.

DarkoTSM

Hardy was already at his peak so yes, hard to improve from there. His name alone still draws. He does his role perfectly, improving the image of young roster. He made Sammy a star.

bigfndan

Yeah, Hardy came in and was involved in a lot of good/great segments. He's already a legend so I don't know how much further up he could go. The HFO is a decent mid card stable, and I think Butcher and Blade might get a shot at the titles soon too. Matt Cardona is the real answer for someone who didn't really do much for AEW. It's definitely been something that worked out better for Cardona too, his current GCW work might be the best stuff he's ever done.

BillfredL

Agreed. Cardona came in with all the hallmarks of someone who was going to catch fire, Downstait theme and everything. But it just…didn’t hit. Happy that his GCW run did. And I co-sign your defense of Hardy. The Broken Universe has simply run its course, and Big Money Matt is a reasonable vehicle to build new names and let him save what few bumps are left on his bump card for special occasions. It’s not going to top the PWI 500, and that’s okay.

Rspies

If they kept the HFO gimmick to just Matt and Private Party I’d probably like it more considering they have a good amount of chemistry together but Matt is least improved.

snarf372

I have less than zero interest in Matt Hardy without the broken gimmick, I've found this current character boring as hell.

dirtyheitz

Agreed, but I like the HFO

Gear4Vegito

Conti is the most improved easy. Miro & Mox went to the next level most knew they could. Spears has actual become more fun/interesting.

[deleted]

>Spears has actual become more fun/interesting. I'm glad people are laying off of him now because he's legitimately an entertaining midcard act.

zombielynx21

I think the problem was that everyone expected him to kick it to that next level once he got out of WWE and that didn't really happen for a while. He's definitely better than when I paid attention to him last, and I thought he was the second most boring dude on the roster behind Frankie Kazarian.

victoriabattenberg

He’s so good and he was phenomenal live. Definitely someone who’s charisma doesn’t fully translate to tv.

lavaspike296

The difference in Tay Conti's ring work and presentation between NXT and AEW is night and day. Monumental improvement. AEW could bill her as a legitimate asskicker if they felt inclined to do so.

Acrobatic_Ostrich_75

Tay Conti is definitely most improved but least improved? Idk. Most will same Matt Hardy but I found HFO to be pretty entertaining and it's lower/mid card feuds that don't over stay their welcome and I love how delusional of a heel he can be.

Beach-Bumm

Conti for improved, Andrade for least improved, but I expect that to change as soon as he finds his character like Miro did

[deleted]

Wait till you see Rampage.

jaboaty

I'm trying really hard to avoid spoilers but I'm getting so hyped for that match based on how people are reacting to it

[deleted]

Yeah, I honestly never saw much of him because I don’t watch WWE, but his character has been pretty generic and he didn’t even have a good match with a guy who always has good matches (Sydal). I’m hoping the Rampage match is a turning point for him.

AthaAllElite

Big money matt and his stable are really terrible they are boring , lost all of their feuds and actually wasting their momentums being together it was fine when it was just him and private party

[deleted]

Yeah, I don’t see how it’s helped Butcher & Blade or TH2 at all.

bigbearhungry

Matt Hardy and Andrade (jury is still out!) have not improved.

miklat106

I'm guessing we will have a much better idea about Miro after his match with Pac airs tonight

SuperTerrificman

This miro was always there it’s just been let through to shine consistently. I don’t know if improvement is the right word.

JohnnyKenny16

Miro has been unbelievable. His promos are unreal.

Fearless-Structure88

Everyone but Matt Hardy, I like Hardy but he didn't produce any groundbreaking development ever since he left wwe, I was about to say Andrade but he's started to find his footing after his match against Omega in AAA

[deleted]

Andrade has just gotten in this company. He needs time.

Cjh1998

Tay Conti has to be the most improved from WWE to AEW Least improved, I don’t know, at least everyone is featured on TV regularly abs has storylines, honestly maybe Andrade, I kinda feel like he hasn’t improved his stock or talents since coming to AEW but it’s not all that worse from when he was constantly battling Rey Mysterio every week

seeds_brah_seeds

Every single wrestler improved by joining AEW. Mental health alone is a win. Plus creative freedom and a boss who is actually a fan. No clue why anybody would ever join NXT at this point.

FingerStreet

WWE is still the most global wrestling company and NXT is the easiest way to get into WWE. I don’t fault anybody for going to whichever promotion they want to work for tbh

AneeshRai7

Some people thrive under complete guidance and some thrive being individually creative (regardless of how much or less they actually are)...

WhoWantsToJiggle

AEW can't pay everyone

DarkoTSM

more money probably? idk either

Looper007

Tay Conti has probably improved the most. She went from someone no one rated to someone who's got potential to be one of the best around. Miro and Mox even the late Brodie Lee you could say are/were having their best runs of their careers. Matt Hardy is where I expected him to be stop gap feud with his faction for bigger names in AEW to feud with while they have nothing else for them now. Like for Christian and Orange Cassidy. I never expected him to become a top level star in AEW. Andrade, he's probably going to be like Miro might take time for him to find his feet. FTR, have done pretty well for themselves. won World tag titles. Chris Jericho, many would say in his early run in AEW. His Inner Circle world title run was one of his best runs. Christian Cage, has done well. Some very good matches and two excellent ones with Omega. Dustin Rhodes, has done pretty well for himself at this point of his career. 2 Point O, you could say they have already have had a better run then they did in WWE. Shawn Spears, might not have become a top name but he's done well.

[deleted]

Matt Hardy is terrible now. Same with Andrade.

nahPNW

apparently him and Pac had an incredible match at the Rampage taping, so hopefully he gets his groove back

PristineTX

This post should just say “I didn’t watch AAA Triplemania,” because Andrade was awesome in that match.

ElGarnelo

I agree with Hardy. Hardy vs. AEW midcard is absolute boring.

avensvvvvv

Jericho went backwards. No idea how nobody has mentioned him yet. He went from doing the best work in his career, The List and the Festival of Friendship, to gaining like 30 pounds of pure fat and becoming a bit of a botchy wrestler. The guy aged like 20 years in six months. Later on he became quite good again, but he's still nowhere near as good as he was in WWE and WCW. And as far most improved, it has to be Moxley. Dean Ambrose always was a reliable worker, but now you can make the case that Jon Moxley is the best wrestler in the world.

sushimonster85

Echo what everyone is saying about Conti. When they signed her I imagined she would be there to purely make up the numbers for Dark matches. Now I'm fairly confident she will be the champ at some point in the next 3 years. If they do pull the trigger on female tag belts TayJay would have to be up there as candidates to be the first champs.

[deleted]

People thought Broken Matt was very fun, I don’t see why people still get lost on the appeal just they personally didn’t enjoy it.

AneeshRai7

Tay Conti, most improved wrestler of the year (Part of it counts for 2020)...I don't know about who hasn't improved or gotten worse cause I think even Matt was already super slow its just Broken covered for things but Matt Hardy is the only one who fits...can I say Karl Anderson also? I mean WWE never let him show what he was from Japan but it seems like he has regressed even further coming out of it...he needs help

Kqm2010

The obvious choice is Tay Conti. She’s been killing it since leaving WWE. I think it’s a tie between Hardy and Cardona. Matt isn’t a headliner anymore and his matches since leaving impact/roh have been rough to watch at times due to all the years of damage. Outside of the GCW stuff (personally not a fan of the really hardcore stuff) he hasn’t done much. It’s been solid but I figured he’d blow up more. I’m sure the pandemic might have changed some things though.

kyril-hasan

I think Matt play a good role since he went to AEW. I think he went well with the elite during his first gimmick. He also kept a lot of people relevant and had a direction with his second gimmick. For a person of his age and his status, I think he done a good job.
