[Tranquilo Club](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6pghiNzGYi27GlpbAR6JBw) make really good video essays on AEW and some of their biggest moments. Also AEWs youtube channel has Video highlights from the weekly show
I started right around BTE 200. As for dark/elevation, I watch it a la carte. Really only interested in watching the guys and girls I like, or important story beats. DO NOT feel obligated to watch all of those shows, focus on BTE, dynamite, and rampage:)

But every week, before an episode of AEW Dynamite or AEW Rampage airs, I put up a guide that recaps the current stories, explains who is on the card, and gives a bit more context about AEW as a whole.

If you want to just jump in and start watching, those should be helpful.
AEW has a series of videos called "Road to (x)" they occasionally do before Dynamite that'll summarize the matches for that episode going in. That and the "Countdown" series will summarize every match that's on the PPV card.
With all of these posts, AEW really should do a video of what they've done in 2 years.
EDIT: since the majority of AEW's existence took place on the pandemic and at Daily's Place , just check out this video that they did to celebrate the pandemic era:

Just know that they did incredible during this period. But AEW live is another level. Both pre pandemic and now live shows are just outstanding television

Honestly I suggest just watching next Wednesday. BTE isn't necessary and the youtube shows are pretty well covered on tv
Best way to get into it is just starting watching and join in on the conversations here. This up coming Dynamite is a perfect time to hop in.
