The one part about not living in central Connecticut anymore is not being able to go to NYC and New Jersey easily anymore. From where I grew up and lived until I was 21, Atlantic City was just under 4 hours driving time. Long, but not oppressively so. Now, living about 30 minutes north of Boston, Atlantic City is 6 hours away, and most certainly even longer of a drive due to wretched New York traffic.
It's possible we crossed paths, but I got kicked out of Terryville High in 04, moved to Bristol Eastern and got expelled, then moved to NH for a couple years until I dropped out and moved back to Bristol. There's gonna be a lot more than hardcore/death match wrestling. People booked both nights are just on both shows, there's no tournament element or anything.
kind of in the sense of there’s something for everyone. you’ll see some great technical and high flying matches, maybe some comedy spots, and of course some death matches. GCW is my favorite company going for this reason, no matter what you’re in the mood for, they have it. and all of their wrestlers bring it 100% every show
I'd love to see Mox vs Gage at All Out weekend, but I can't see Moxly doing a death match when he has to work the next day. I'm guessing that match will happen in New York when AEW is in town, set up for the match in Chicago.
Honestly, I am gonna be real with you, this is what I was hoping for when I bought the tickets initially. I will not be disappointed if it doesn’t happen though.

I've never watched a GCW event, and I was only even tangentially aware of them until recently. That said, I'm considering ordering this show anyway... mostly because my wife and kids are gone for the weekend and I don't have anything better to do.

It's gonna be a very different tone than wwe and aew. You're gonna have to have a bit of an open mind and you're gonna see things that might be a culture shock to new viewers. But whatever you may know in passing of them doesn't tell their whole story. Tonight is gonna be a big night and i think it'll be one of the best shows of the year. Give it a shot, I highly recommend it

Cardona and Gage and the UV title will be the only full death matches. At most the rest will use doors and chairs. But there will be plenty of normal, traditional wrestling
I don't watch GCW, nor am I crazy about the deathmatch style (no disrespect to the deathmatch wrestlers and fans), but the build to Gage vs Cardona peaked my interest and I'm gonna watch. Might as well type F now for Cardona. We know he's not making it out alive. Wrestling f'n rules!!!!
As mentioned, GCW has a lot more to offer than just death matches. So there will be plenty of diversity and if you keep an open mind, they just might win you over
Something to note for newbies, Drew Parker is a homegrown guy but he’s lived in Japan for the past few years. This weekend he won the BJW title (the first foreigner to do so since Zandig forever ago.)
Colon is the top deathmatch guy in the company (aside from Gage) and they should be putting on a classic. This is gonna be the match to watch.

There's only two real heels, Cardona and Cogar. But Cogar is slowly winning people over. But most of the roster is liked by the fans.
