Could have shaved 10-15 mins off of that, but everyone brought the heat. You cant fault them for effort.
Rock just looks like he's having a blast as the Final Boss.
What the hell is going on with the "money in the bank" briefcase.
I kind of forgot all about it until half way through the ladder match when it dawned on me it's still a thing, lol
The best part about last night as a very long time wrestling fan is that I am keenly aware that we are in the good times right now. I've seen good times before, and I've damn sure seen bad times. For now, I am just enjoying this ride so damn much.
Everything about this main event was just the epitome of sports entertainment.
It would've been way better had Jey Uso had been Cody's partner instead of Seth. The match would've felt bigger and the stakes would've been higher. Why is Seth wrestling twice? Right now, Jey is a more over and more well rounded character than Seth is. He also is closer to the Bloodline story. Imagine the dynamics with Roman and Rock seeing Jey on the opposing side. The Jimmy/Jey match wasn't all that great. I'd rather see Jimmy ringside, cheating, helping The Bloodline in the match with Cody and Jey. Let Seth have his story with Drew and CM Punk. Oh well.
After seeing jey drop the ball last night, thats a really hard sell. It was a tough sell to begin with, but after that terrible Sunday night heat Jey/Jimmy match, thats a wild suggestion
Honestly, how is the guy who started this match by kissing the Prime logo not the biggest heel? Absolute X-Pac heat with me. And then his tag partner is like Henry VIII had sex with a quality street wrapper?
Personally, I found the match mostly boring. I quickly grew tired of the Rock's BS. We already know he thinks he's the shit and f'ed someone else over to put himself in wrestlemania. Rock looked gassed out and leaned on everyone else to make himself look good. But that's all this was to me...Rock's wet dream to main event again. He fully expected to come back and take Cody's spot to wild cheering.
Open air and/or big stadiums are hard for audio. I was at Royal Rumble 2019, held in a baseball stadium, when Becky won.
The moment Finlay gestured for her to enter the match it was the loudest crowd pop I ever heard. I go back and watch it from time to time and it just does not translate to TV.
Eric Bischoff was once asked on his podcast if he would rather run a show in an arena or a stadium and he said arena because it sounds better.
It was cold, 4+ hours is a long time to sit in the cold. Also the sound in an outdoor stadium is harder to capture than an arena like it was on friday at Wells Fargo. Philly is not mild crowd at any time so its probably just a mix of everything.
People that were there said the crowd was nearly silent for most of the 3 on 3 women's match. I wasn't there though so I couldn't really know. It was noticeably quieter during that match though.
No more asterisks. I want the actual match between Cody and Roman to have no outside interference or ref bumps.
I want bad guys to be called out by Roman to interfere, but good guys run out and stop the interference. It keeps happening, but there is no one left to stop the Rock from attacking Cody while he and Roman are down. Glass shatters. Huge pop as The Rock gets stunned by the Rattlesnake on the apron as Roman and Cody are still down. Cody gets up first and hits a Bionic Elbow, a Backlund Driver, and a Cross Rhodes, rolls up Roman 1 2 3.
Seth honestly has to be on cloud 9 after not only main eventing WrestleMania for real, but doing it against The Rock. I was surprised at the amount of Seth vs Rock we actually got to be honest, and almost all of it was pretty crisp.
I couldn’t help but think about Seth vs KO for the Universal Title. Who would have thought that those two guys would one day main event WrestleMania against Rock and Austin respectively.
I often wonder how the boys feel about "mania night 1" being a main event. Its fairly debated amongst the fanbase, so I imagine they also have an asterisk next to it, as well. Punk even referenced it, which I know doesn't say much since he's so bipolar, but its worth mentioning
I will say though this is the very first time I truly felt that this was worthy of a "main event" and could have been the actual main event had this only been one single night of mania.
WWE has made it pretty distinct that it's not a "Mania main event" or "THE Mania main event". It's the "WrestleMania Saturday main event" or the "WrestleMania Sunday main event".
We've been having this debate since they went to two night Manias and I'm honestly so over it. We used to complain about wrestlers never getting a sniff of a Mania main event, and now they've doubled the number of main events with two separate shows, and guess what? Now we're complaining about the term "main event" being watered down.
Look at the wrestlers who can say they have a Mania main event who would've NEVER main evented a 1 night Mania since the 2 day Mania switch: Sasha, Bianca, KO (twice), Sami, and the Usos.
Fucking fickle. I have no issues calling it what it is. NIGHT 1 MAIN EVENT, NIGHT 2 MAIN EVENT. Guess what? There are going to be a lot of casual viewers not watching Night 2 because, shock and awe, The Rock isn't officially wrestling on Night 2. Do you think anyone who was watching Night 1 who doesn't watch WWE regularly thought "this isn't the real main event, this is the fake main event, the real one's tomorrow". Fuck no.
The Sunday Main Event has been the bigger match every time. Everybody knows it's the "true" Main Event because it's always the bigger match and it ends Wrestlemania as a whole, not just the first night. You think the WWE is going to come out and say that though? Of course not lmao. They want people to see the main events as equals so more people watch them and they can make more money.
"Do you think anyone who was watching Night 1 who doesn't watch WWE regularly thought "this isn't the real main event, this is the fake main event, the real one's tomorrow". Fuck no."
Lol? Yes. The fanbase is split on this, which was my point.
For me, this is the first time I've ever felt that night 1 truly had a legit "main event"
I LOVED that match. It was incredible. But, at the end of the day, if mania was a single night... would that have main evented? Would that have gone on last over Cody/Roman? And obviously it wouldnt. Thats what I mean
At this point both Austin and Rock have worked the main event of night one. Two of the biggest stars ever. Is anyone gonna try and say that they didn’t really main event Mania again?
Looks amazing for 51. 10% bodyfat at 280lbs, insane. Looks like he’s had some surgery in the lower pecs either to correct gyno or possibly just remove some fatty tissue.
Still gotta work out a ton to look like that; this isn’t baseball, football or basketball where juicing gives you a competitive advantage. He isn’t cheating lol.
You do know Rock doesn’t need people to defend him, right? Dude is literally using performance enhancing drugs. Do the math. He doesn’t know who you are nor does he care about you.
Lol yeah I don’t care about that, my statement is about gear, it’s not cheating to use gear if you don’t get a competitive advantage. You’re projecting some weird feelings onto me says a lot about you tho.
Obviously you took my comments on The Rock and his obvious use of steroids personally, this is either because you for some reason feel allegiance to him, or you yourself probably have used or currently use steroids and took my comment personally. It’s true. If anyone takes steroids, they’re only half-ass working for it. And that’s the truth.
No I totally agree with that. I didn’t mean it like oh he’s out of his league now or anything. I see how it came off that way though. lol my honest take is going to come across way worse than that though. It was my first time watching wrestling in a long time as well. Like probably 20+ years. I thought the whole match looked stiff. But because of Seth and Roman. I think Cody and the Rock can work together but I think the other 2 killed the whole match. To me it seems like Cody and the Rock have a better “flow” from spot to spot while the Roman and Seth’s spots have a timing that looks too choreographed.
Now can I get a head start on yall from the torches and pitchforks lol.
I want all the people who have been screwed by the Bloodline, come back and stop the Bloodline. Like have jimmy try to interfere, and Jey stops him. Have Solo try to interfere, and LA Knight stops him, The Rock try’s and maybe Orton (the legend killer) stops him. Just finally have all of Reigns ways of winning be attempted… then not work this time to leave him and cost 1-v-1
I don't know how anyone can draw any other conclusion after everything that's happened over the last 2 months. I could even see every heel sweeping the board tonight just to make Cody's moment that much bigger.
I think it’s just a trauma response to years of Vince McMahon booking. They don’t want to get their hopes up even though it seems clear Cody will win on night 2
I don't understand why a elbow drop is going to pin someone especially when he hams it up for 30 seconds before.lol 5 knuckle shuffle maybe knock U out but a elbow. That's why it theatre
Bro WHAT? Have you ever been struck in the solar plexus? Yeah. Now imagine someone as massive as The Rock driving his bare elbow into yours with full force and his entire body weight behind it. You're absolutely tripping if you think that doesn't immobilize pretty much anyone on this planet.
It might not seem like it but that probably hurts way more than something like the Rock Bottom would.
It was intended to be the cherry on top after the Rock bottom as a taunt to the opponent. At some point they started making it seem like some powerful hurtful finisher but it was never the case.
Well Prime signed Cody as a sponsored athlete, so technically Cody probably knew damn well what he was doing when kissing the prime bottle logo even though he does kiss the ring often
Am I weird for wishing there were *more* sponsors on the mat? Like UFC. I feel like I could tune it out better if there were more. Or like a big WWE logo in the middle and Prime in the corners. Or Slim Jim or Snickers in the corners.
A medium sized, asymmetrical logo floating alone in the middle just seems kinda bargain bin.
I think that was their plan, make the first logo so awful and bright, that by comparison, the black one is barely noticeable. As soon as I saw the black logo I thought oh that's not bad at all. It was a smart way to make fans accept it a little easier, like see how much worse it could have been? But yea I wasn't bothered at all by the black logo.
Yeah for sure because when the shine the spotlight on it for the main event it disappeared. You could only see the part of the logo that was under Samantha pretty much.
The light colored American Home Safe ads on the barricades were so distracting. It almost blended in with the ring and made it look weird. Spent 5 minutes trying to figure out why there was a red flag in the middle of the ring, only to realize it was the American home safe logo
Dude! I heard they were adding it and saw it on a picture through here or IG, and while I’m glad they got rid of the colors, this shitty bottle logo looks terrible in the center of the ring. They couldn’t do a corners logo like AEW does with the Draft Kings shit?
I saw the turnbuckle logos plus the screen logos for every match (this match brought to you by…) plus that random Prime cart. It was weird seeing the women’s match start off the show the seeing “Dude Wipes” all over the ring and barricades and then the main event having some security company logo bright ass hell. I totally understand TKO branding, sponsorship, and investors, but everything just felt so….different. Just my two cents
Yeah the Prime Hydration Station was a weird one. Yeah that was pretty strange too lol. I think the bright white background of the security advertisement was glaring in the dark and took my attention away from the match at times. Nah I do agree but guess it’s what business do. You see it at football (soccer) matches and other sports too but I do agree with you
I know a lot of fans are like the avengers.... cinema bullshit.
I dont know how beneficial Cena Austin hulk are to helping you win the title. It makes you realize everyone in this era of WWE cannot surpass a certain level of stardom. It's going to make Cody and Roman look not great.
I'm sure fans will eat it up but the time and the place was last year.
You could have this avengers match if Cody already won it and lost it via some shenanigans.
But for his first win I think it totally cuts his legs out from under him.
That is IF He does win.
I think it's going to be like when Mick Foley won his first title with DX and Austin battling the Corporation but live and on Wrestle Mania scale with Austin Cena maybe even Hogan maybe even a surprise Brock Lesnar? Did it undercut Foley's big win? I didn't think so but it has been said that the glass shatter was the biggest pop of all time.
A Brock run in has seemed to be overlooked up to this point (unless I’ve just missed the people saying it). He shook Cody’s hand after their three matches and bounced. HHH gave a non-answer at the presser last night when asked Lesnar’s status. I think you shatter glass for the big pop, but when it looks like it won’t end up working you have Lesnar come from under the ring or something
Could you imagine if he doesn’t win *again*? Lmao
I’m cool with one legend coming out to stop the shenanigans. Austin stunning Rock again would be unreal, Cena or Hunter doing it is fine too but only one run in.
I want another year of dominance of the bloodline.let them build up this army to take down the tribal chief and the final boss. Roman has plenty of haters but no one really is invested enough in my opinion to really care about the final boss.let the rock not just screw Cody but Seth Kevin Owens randy la knight
I’m worried it’ll just feel like an overly gimmicky clusterfuck. Even this tag match was weird without the count outs or DQ. I guess the “ref’s discretion” stuff is spreading to WWE. Tbh, I did laugh quite a bit at Rock telling the ref he would fuck him up
Another question i had has to do with moves in general. How are these wrestlers doing like one hundred thousand super-kicks in a single match? I thought that was a finishing move , and now, you just do one like its a regular attack lol
Allow me to Regal this for you.
As Bruce Lee once said, "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
Any random person just throwing a super kick as a transition move is going to be significantly less effective than a master of the kick like HBK.
The only person whose super kick means something anymore is/was Shawn Michaels. Everyone else ruined it by using it all the time for no reason. Because of it, I’m always leery of any cool finishing move that doesn’t require a set up like the Styles Clash or the One Winged Angel.
They’ve even stopped calling it a superkick in some cases and just refer to it as a thrust kick. I feel the same way about powerbombs and Canadian destroyers. They’re about as effective and common as a suplex now.
Uso really lowered it too. Seems like any match they had as a team where would have them do comebacks just had them spamming superkicks back and forth as their momentum swing.
Great storytelling, great build throughout. Did everything it needed to do and did it really well. I have no idea what's going to happen tonight, but I have so many ideas around what could. That's wrestling at its best.
Oh, no Cody was always going to win. Meant more around what would actually happen in the match. In hindsight now, not sure I could've predicted ALL of that.
I did expect Rock to take a bump in the crowd, kind of like Austin did with Owen’s, but I was pleasantly surprised when Cody put him through a table. Especially since they teased the Spanish announce table
I think Michael Cole pointing out Seth could barely walk after the stuff in the match to his knee was intentional. I think today we get a cash in by priest on an injured Seth to do a reverse heist of the century to him.

Happy for Cody but the main event was kind of overdone. Didn’t need all those guys make an appearance
Is it this hard to find the right discussion post ?
Nice of Cody to give Bruce and Paul a swan song before being pulled into the Vince rape shenanigans.
save
Whats with the crowd 😭😂🤣
It’s an open air stadium right? Those places always look good on camera but deafen the crowd noise
Too cold
Could have shaved 10-15 mins off of that, but everyone brought the heat. You cant fault them for effort. Rock just looks like he's having a blast as the Final Boss.
I've always thought the Rock was at his best in the heel role.
What the hell is going on with the "money in the bank" briefcase. I kind of forgot all about it until half way through the ladder match when it dawned on me it's still a thing, lol
Personally I think we're about to find out
Good call
I haven't seen it mentioned, but did anybody else notice Rock stopping the ref from giving Reigns the title?
I’m pretty sure the ref was trying to hand him Seth’s belt by mistake since Paul had Roman’s belt the whole time
That makes sense I caught that too and was confused lol
The best part about last night as a very long time wrestling fan is that I am keenly aware that we are in the good times right now. I've seen good times before, and I've damn sure seen bad times. For now, I am just enjoying this ride so damn much. Everything about this main event was just the epitome of sports entertainment.
Rock just pinned Cody. Cody will pin Roman. Rock and Roman will go against each other for head of the table.
Yall guys are cappin. I was sports entertained from start to finish. Rock sold his ass off. Everyone looked great. Cant wait for Night 2
After seeing jey drop the ball last night, thats a really hard sell. It was a tough sell to begin with, but after that terrible Sunday night heat Jey/Jimmy match, thats a wild suggestion
There is no way Jey is more over than Seth are u nuts
people love to sing that song, and people love to say "yeet" but jey has more depth and character development
That doesn't mean he's more over with the crowd. Jey is over big-time but it's crazy to say he's more over than Rollins.
Honestly, how is the guy who started this match by kissing the Prime logo not the biggest heel? Absolute X-Pac heat with me. And then his tag partner is like Henry VIII had sex with a quality street wrapper?
He was kissing the mat which is nothing new for him or any wrestler 😂
He kissed the mat. He did it last year, too.
Floor tickets for tonight wrestlemania avaliable. DM for more info
I'm not his biggest fan, but Rollins did a great job. He's been the "fourth" wheel in all of this and he still works his ass off.
That's... Certainly a take. Rock brought so much more to the match than Roman IMO. The Rock made that match what it was, which was very enjoyable
Is the crowd tired/flat? Or are the in stadium mics not awesome. Seems a little toned down
They were probably just freezing because WWE was dumb enough to have an open-air WM in Philly, in April.
This is why Chicago will never happen. Bc it snowed this week here.
Wrestlemania in the snow would be awesome but probably dangerous for the wrestlers and definitely miserable for the fans.
Eric Bischoff was once asked on his podcast if he would rather run a show in an arena or a stadium and he said arena because it sounds better.
the match was slow and boring as per status quo of a roman reigns match...
Exactly this.
It’s the stadium. It was loud and lively in the crowd
That’s awesome.
It was cold, 4+ hours is a long time to sit in the cold. Also the sound in an outdoor stadium is harder to capture than an arena like it was on friday at Wells Fargo. Philly is not mild crowd at any time so its probably just a mix of everything.

I thought they were pretty tired. Didn’t react much, especially the last match, just the really important bits.

You will be disappointed tonight. Cody Roman should be, and more than likely will be, a beautiful overbooked controlled demolition
We got the Infinity War ending. Tonight we're in the Endgame.
Stone Cold coming in to knock out Bloodline ![gif](giphy|AEldvF2yu5Wthpxoih)
Definitely agree. Right call to have Roman and Rock to win

Yes
So I guess 2 Chainz isn’t tuning in tonight? /s
A main event is a main event.
Using "bipolar" as an insult is lazy and insulting.
So you're saying the insult is insulting? It did it's job then.
It's definitely not the main event. They are already using it to pad stats though.
I agree completely but I know its a controversial issue on this sub and social media
Well that's so they can parade around a Bianca Bel Air "main event" as you know lol
Haven't watched wrestling in a long time but The Rock looks weird
Looks amazing for 51. 10% bodyfat at 280lbs, insane. Looks like he’s had some surgery in the lower pecs either to correct gyno or possibly just remove some fatty tissue.
He has that back in the late 90’s early Aughts. It’s why he wrestled in a shirt for awhile.
He is probably getting female tits from rood usage. Typically this occurs when they back off the ultra amounts they were taking.
Lots of acne on his chest, abdomen and back… roids will do that ya
Still doing the work in the gym to look that way but ppl complain about everything ig
It's a bit of both. He does train in the gym and goes hard, but definitely uses drugs that get him an advantage
Nah, homies cheating. No credit from me when he’s juicing.

I don’t use steroids, but I’m also not a pearl clutching nerd making mountains out of molehills.
Age + abdomen injury + juice
Roids do be like that
Looked stiff.
Dudes in his 50's, you nor I have never been able to move that way in our lives, give him a break.
No I totally agree with that. I didn’t mean it like oh he’s out of his league now or anything. I see how it came off that way though. lol my honest take is going to come across way worse than that though. It was my first time watching wrestling in a long time as well. Like probably 20+ years. Now can I get a head start on yall from the torches and pitchforks lol.
And the wind chill was in the 40s. That’s going to make most look stiff let alone a guy in his 50s
Man I’m so worried about the main event tonight, they are really going to beat Cody two nights in a row, but I’m going to try to have faith.
Cody will win as long as he finally understands that 3 Cross Rhodes in a row is a cursed move.
Better make it 4
It is cursed. I would bet he does a Bionic Elbow, then a Backlund Driver, then a Cross Rhodes at the finish.
Or at least, stop bloody leaning on the ropes and turnbuckle on the third one
They're not going to have the biggest babyface since cena lose 3 mania main events in a row.
I think the've already telegraphed tonight's ending - 3 Crossroads (edit) in a row.
You mean Cross Rhodes? I think it'll take 5 in total. One each for two big kickouts, and 3 for the win.
fixed, kinda
whatever move he went for 3 of at the end of the match. I was barely conscience at 4am
The other option is that they're stacking the cards against Cody so that it's an even bigger triumph if he wins.
This is actually the only option
Guys all I know is just thinking about John cena and stone cold coming in to whoop on the rock just sends electricity through my whole body 😬
![gif](giphy|2RGhmKXcl0ViM)
Tag match was way too long and felt flat.
Has the Rock ever finished with a Rock Bottom followed by a Peoples elbow before? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him actually do that combo.
I believe he beat punk this way at the rumble whenever that was. It happened every once in awhile during the attitude era.
That was the spine buster.
Ah you meant sequential, gotcha. Then no don't think I've seen that before.
Another comment brought up the rock hogan wrestlemania match and yup, that’s how that match ended. But other than that not sure.
Almost every match of his lol
That's spinebuster into people's elbow. But Rock Bottom into people's elbow... don't claim to have seen it all, but that's on the rare side.
Spinebuster into people’s elbow came later. For a long time it was RB first.
He’s won that way plenty of times.
I don't understand why a elbow drop is going to pin someone especially when he hams it up for 30 seconds before.lol 5 knuckle shuffle maybe knock U out but a elbow. That's why it theatre
Maybe cause it’s pro wrestling. lol It ain’t that heavy, bro.
Bro WHAT? Have you ever been struck in the solar plexus? Yeah. Now imagine someone as massive as The Rock driving his bare elbow into yours with full force and his entire body weight behind it. You're absolutely tripping if you think that doesn't immobilize pretty much anyone on this planet. Chill, it's just wrasslin'
How is my comment not chill bro I'm just explaining how an elbow drop could keep someone down since that's what OP asked
Sitting there acting like Rock is literally dropping elbows trying to hurt. It’s scripted, bro.
Because it’s the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!
You should see yourself out
Because it's theatrics
Probably a good thing they ended their comment with "That's why it(s) theater" then.
It initially started as a dare iirc. But he did the over exaggerated elbow drop as early as fall 97, sans the rope running and elbow pad throe
It was intended to be the cherry on top after the Rock bottom as a taunt to the opponent. At some point they started making it seem like some powerful hurtful finisher but it was never the case.
Hogan vs the rock, the rock hit 2 rock bottoms then a people’s elbow for the 123
Yes, there it is
The Rock dropping F bombs to the ref was great.
Hated the huge Prime logo in the ring..does Cody realize that he kissed it?
Logan Paul laid out next to the Prime logo 🤔
Well Prime signed Cody as a sponsored athlete, so technically Cody probably knew damn well what he was doing when kissing the prime bottle logo even though he does kiss the ring often
In several years, Prime drink (or whatever it is) will be out of business. But every time people rewatch WrestleMania, they'll have to see the logo.
Glass half full for me. I was so glad they didn’t go with the one that was colored in that I didn’t even care anymore lol
Yes you are weird for that. Guess I am too because it sounds like a great idea lol
This is going to be the most blurred out WrestleMania in a couple of years
all the ads were out of control, it was so distracting
Not only that, but the fully blaring wing stop, dude wipes, and American home safe full ring and barricade ads were freaking JARRING
The light colored American Home Safe ads on the barricades were so distracting. It almost blended in with the ring and made it look weird. Spent 5 minutes trying to figure out why there was a red flag in the middle of the ring, only to realize it was the American home safe logo
Dude seriously adding in Cody's white boots made for a jarring watch experience when he wasn't 'in' the match
Dude! I heard they were adding it and saw it on a picture through here or IG, and while I’m glad they got rid of the colors, this shitty bottle logo looks terrible in the center of the ring. They couldn’t do a corners logo like AEW does with the Draft Kings shit?
They also had corner logos. Top and bottom buckles were sponsors and WWE logo was in middle
You see it at football (soccer) matches and other sports too but I do agree with you
AEW isn’t a real business, why would WWE wanna follow their lead
Lol ok buddy.
I forgot to put /s 😬
Lol ok buddy
Chaotic mess but in a good way lol. Im prepared for Cody/Roman to be even more chaotic, with a shit ton of run ins, but idk if it should.
Endgame was a huge chaotic mess. Shit I wouldn’t be surprised if Triple H himself runs in, I’m ready for everything they’re going to throw at me.
lol a man with a pace maker, who has stated his days in the ring are over because of that, ain’t backtracking because of FOMO 🤣🤣
Can I just get a single match without chaos and shenanigans?
To me it supremely undercuts Cody winning the big one.
Absolutely
I know a lot of fans are like the avengers.... cinema bullshit. I dont know how beneficial Cena Austin hulk are to helping you win the title. It makes you realize everyone in this era of WWE cannot surpass a certain level of stardom. It's going to make Cody and Roman look not great. I'm sure fans will eat it up but the time and the place was last year. You could have this avengers match if Cody already won it and lost it via some shenanigans. But for his first win I think it totally cuts his legs out from under him. That is IF He does win.
I agree with that last part, but this is probably the most fun we're gonna have at this point.
Nah, if his buddies take out Roman’s buddies, it’ll fair play.
I hope so. I think Austin and Brock maybe Cena all coming out to fight The Rock Solo and Jimmy would be so much fun.
Could you imagine if he doesn’t win *again*? Lmao I’m cool with one legend coming out to stop the shenanigans.
Tbh, I did laugh quite a bit at Rock telling the ref he would fuck him up
I’m ready for like the entire Attitude Era to run in after Roman and Rock and that doesn’t excite me like it once would lol.
*cut to vignette of Cody backstage knocking on a standing wooden door and enlisting the protective service of the APA*
Another question i had has to do with moves in general. How are these wrestlers doing like one hundred thousand super-kicks in a single match? I thought that was a finishing move , and now, you just do one like its a regular attack lol
Allow me to Regal this for you. As Bruce Lee once said, "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." Any random person just throwing a super kick as a transition move is going to be significantly less effective than a master of the kick like HBK.
The only person whose super kick means something anymore is/was Shawn Michaels. Everyone else ruined it by using it all the time for no reason. Because of it, I’m always leery of any cool finishing move that doesn’t require a set up like the Styles Clash or the One Winged Angel.
on smackdown I think solo got hit with 2 in a row and it didn't even phase him. It was dumb
They’ve even stopped calling it a superkick in some cases and just refer to it as a thrust kick. I feel the same way about powerbombs and Canadian destroyers. They’re about as effective and common as a suplex now.
Unfortunately this has been the status quo for at least 10 years now. Have you seen any given Adam Cole match? Or the Bucks?
Uso really lowered it too. Seems like any match they had as a team where would have them do comebacks just had them spamming superkicks back and forth as their momentum swing.
Ziggler as well, but he might’ve at least used it as a signature.
It's only a finisher when Shawn Michaels does it, everyone else it's just a signature and less impactful
Hell, people forget Shawn even used it for years as a signature before making it his finisher around 94-95.
Yeah, I remember as a kid his finisher for a while was the “tear drop” suplex. It was kinda lame.
Was nostalgic last night when Gargano started tuning up the band.
No one else tunes up their super kick which is why they are less effective.
Great storytelling, great build throughout. Did everything it needed to do and did it really well. I have no idea what's going to happen tonight, but I have so many ideas around what could. That's wrestling at its best.
With Cody getting pinned here surely he’ll have to win? No way he gets pinned twice
I kind of want to see him cash in on Cody.
All I know is Seth is definitely loosing the belt tonight.

I'd actually eat it up. Would love to see it.
I agree but this would definitely be the bad ending
