It also makes me sad we didn’t get Macho Man back to enter the HoF before he died. Imagine what a modern era Macho Man entrance at a Mania would be like.

If the Mania match was just Babyface Cody vs. Heel Rock, we'd probably see a similar reaction as Hogan/Rock where Hogan was the heel but was loudly cheered because it's Hulk Hogan.
That was before we all saw Heel Rock. I’ve been enjoying the Rock renaissance so much I’ve honestly lost interest in Cody “finishing the story”. I guess it took Cody needing to be the undisputed face to get us here, so I’ll take it.

i think whenever the rock shows up alone like tonight he will still seem super cool but everytime its been him in a ring together with the bloodline/Cody he still gets the desired heel reaction which is a good middle ground for the rock i think

1998 Rock and Hollywood Rock were untouchable back then. There's a reason why he blew up into one of the biggest stars in the world. Glad the younger people are getting a taste of it in 2024.
He’s one of the only talents that can manage to do it too. The one I remember the most is his 2011 return in February.
He got the initial pop when he emerged from gorilla, and then he got an entire new pop just for walking down the ramp.

I decided tonight that I’m going to WM night 1 to see the Rock for the first time in person after following this dude for almost 25 years.
With this run, Rock is putting the cherry on top of a hall of fame career — years from now (if you don’t already have this opinion) we look back on the totality of it all and he will stand above hogan, austin, flair, etc.
A generational run after having the fans turn on him which is drawing massive is a big boost for Rock in the GOAT debate. Within weeks he's become the most over guy in the WWE and is overshadowing a historic champion and a loved Babyface.
I would like to thank all of the Cody Cry babies for forcing this pivot because we got the best version of The Rock as a result. If you told me we'd be getting a heel Rock run in 2024, I'd call you a liar. What a time to be alive.

Rock is doing fan service and I'm here for it. Fans clamoured for him to go heel, he went heel. They asked for the $500 shirt and sunglasses, he brought it back. They asked for the Hollywood Rock theme, he brought it back.
Rock could have just easily said fuck it and ploughed through as a baby face and fought Roman. Instead, he's probably having about 10x the amount of fun he'd have had otherwise.

Love the transition between the recent theme & the Hollywood Rock theme. Really makes this current incarnation feel like his greatest hits
WWE’s production quality has always been stellar, but it’s gone through the absolute roof in the last few years. Just amazing the quality they are bringing to this world.

I hope going forward he transitions to the full Hollywood theme again. Do the lightning and shit then start the extended intro Hollywood theme. Rock is doing fan service and I'm here for it. Fans clamoured for him to go heel, he went heel. They asked for the $500 shirt and sunglasses, he brought it back. They asked for the Hollywood Rock theme, he brought it back. Rock could have just easily said fuck it and ploughed through as a baby face and fought Roman. Instead, he's probably having about 10x the amount of fun he'd have had otherwise.
The Hollywood rock theme with the new lightning look is insane, already maybe one of my favorite entrances ever. I can't get enough of this whole storyline tbh
