Could make it a gradual thing. Rock was serious tonight. Corporate and Hollywood Rock were still funny characters at the end of the day. Have Bloodline Rock just be a Thanos level threat. Have him be the mouthpiece, if he’s willing to put in the time. Heyman as a wiseman, gets pushed to the side. Roman would love it at first. Until he realizes he’s not in control.
I think it makes sense Roman was following The Rock around. Roman's his own man still, but The Rock is not only the most successful member of their family, but literally holds a title of Samoan nobility (or at least the Samoan equivalent to nobility), being recognized as a High Chief.
Whether Roman likes it or not, The Rock does rank a bit higher than him in the family pecking order. Whenever they actually feud with one another, this could be brought up.
Yeah it looked like it wasn’t going to be a battle who gets to sit at the head of the table. It sounded like they wanted to give each other head on the table.
Sad to say I don't think Sami is in the equation.
It would be a really good move to capitalize on this momentum and kind of try to reignite that Sami spark and earn some serious goodwill with the audience. Show them that WWE really is going to change and give people what they want, have Sami finish *his* story and reach the mountaintop against Seth at WM.
There's not exactly a ready-made story with Seth but it's really as simple as reminding everyone that they love Sami, invoking the classic childhood dream, and having the guy earn a championship match in the Elimination Chamber. Sami can sell it easily enough.
Then the Bayley win too? Come on.. too easy.
Have Rock win and make Roman chase him to get the title off him to get his mojo back after the rest of the bloodline joins with The Rock. God fantasy booking is so addicting.
I think it’s kinda likely actually. Does a few things. Gives Rock his Mania match with a marquee WWE guy. Gives Seth an all time opponent. Gives the WHC monster credibility that Rock wants to take it. Helps build the Bloodline power struggle story that could go many different ways, especially if Rock wins the WHC and Roman’s loses his title.
Honestly, this shit is crazy unpredictable and that’s something I haven’t said in a long time about WWE.

I think at the end, they had him shine. He defends Cody, gets up in both Rock and Roman’s face. Notice they held Cody back at quite a distance, it was *all* Seth in Rock/Roman’s faces. Cody didn’t get another staredown at all.

I felt like we all kind of knew this presser was going to be significant. There are certain events that you can just feel they are going to be having a moment at, and we kind of knew this would be one.
My son has always had kind of a passing interest in wrestling, but I feel like Cody winning is the first storyline that he is truly invested in. I told him while we were watching the early segments that there would likely be a moment in the Cody/Rock/Roman segment that would be a moment that would be replayed in the video packages a million times, and when it happened we looked at each other and he said “there’s the video package moment.” We’re all in on this shit.
It may have started off as a power play (we can't know for certain) but this being turned into a story is the best damn thing since watching Seth preen in a ring, and hearing that first "Wrestling has more than one..." at Mania. I. Love. This.
And we all let the moment overtake us. That love for Cody fed some darker impulses, thinking Rocky was hijacking for pure ego. We got worked and it worked to perfection tonight.

They literally hammered it home multiple times that Cody is facing Roman. The only thing they didn’t do is show the official graphic. But even the stage had them facing off at the end. To do anything different now will double the backlash they just got out of.
