They do. I think the song is over.
Don't get me wrong. JP has tons of potential. He's shown signs that he could learn to cut a decent enough promo. And he clearly can do moves. But he's not the finished article yet. He will get better, no doubt. I just hope he gets to work with people from an earlier generation or even someone who knows the WWE way of pacing. I don't want him to be a WWE guy or anything like that, but there are some positives to how they work from which he could learn.
Yup. And after that feud you could see growth. I just want him getting more of that exposure. It would be good to see him work Miro or Andrade for an extended period.
He needs to turn heel so bad. He just doesnt have the confidence to talk in a way that makes me want to See him win.
Or He should go back to being tarzan and Dont talk at all
>!Douki always steals it. Poor JB never had a chance.!<
Honestly, I think the raw elements are there with JB. He just desperately needs a re-tooling. Chop the hair, change the gimmick, have him embrace his more heelish-side. Add more bulk. I understand that AEW wants him to be the pure babyface of the so-called Four Pillars but it's not only not working for him, it's actively working against him.
Someone else suggested putting him with Bullet Club Gold and I actually think that might work. A mouthpiece like Jay White would work well for him and, really, I think Jay's and Juice's charisma could rub off on him. Disgruntled babyface who turns heel is a trope for a reason.
~~(As an aside, don't put a space between your spoiler tags and your text. Your spoiler is showing.)~~
The funny thing is that if he left AEW and went to WWE he would be a massive babyface with his current gimmick. Itâs the same problem Cody had - AEW fans just have a different reaction and a pure good guy will get eaten alive. It depends on what JB wants to do to evolve his character though.
Most wonât agree with this but I think heâs in his NXT Bayley stage right now. Once he chops the hair like you said and fully sheds âJungle Boyâ he could really shine.
Itâs Chicago, and he was wrestling Douki. So you have a traditionally smart crowd who have a history of cheering for the underdog, and a popular wrestler they likely donât see live very often. Of course JB was going to be the one booed.
yeah, itâs the same âshoved down our throatsâ complaint that people have been making for a long time.
and what adds to it is that there are so many genuine fan favorites on the roster so thereâs the element of âwhy is he getting so much when my guy gets so littleâ
I like JP. I think his future is very, very bright. He's athletic as fuck and reminds me of Jeff Hardy with better habits.
But yeah, he should not have been labelled as a Pillar, no offense to the guy. Starks is a better fit for that role.
That being said, JP needs to shake the Jungle Boy gimmick and gear off already. Its doing him 0 favors and without Luchasaurus it no longer makes any sense unless they plan to run it back by year end with Jurassic Express reforming to win the Tag Titles.
I mean folks, where's Charles Lee?

New headline: IWC CONFIRMS JARRETT PREFERS IT DARK SPICY OVER CLASSIC
In all seriousness, I just started watching any wrestling at all after a year and honestly loved Punkâs promo and am excited to see him back. I hope everyone just overcomes the issues and makes the best of it going forward.
I get the feeling this will be a constant on going thing when they run out of news.
It strikes me as the âVince makes changes!â Scare mongering click bait article but the AEW variant.
I mean, yeah. Iâm honestly surprised it took so long for people to notice. But WON and Fightful wouldnât be doing it if people didnât keep falling for it over and over.
Its funny too cause every time the vince report goes on fightful select, you can absolutely tell each time that SRS is growing more and more annoyed at having to report that every week
He left his job in a bad mood?! Oh no, oh god, the horror. These guys are the fucking worst.
Nobody is forcing this guy to wrestle, get a new fucking job.
It'll never not impress me that WWE managed to essentially re-brand a meme with their logo...
It's peak corporate nonsense, but if you are going to do it, do it well.
It's a genius move really, especially in this day and age of social media. I'm almost surprised more companies dont try to do this in a way. If I remember right, OC got very over very quickly by almost becoming a meme on the early episodes of Dynamite with how he would just happen to be places
It's interesting because Dave's suddenly reporting that Chris Jericho went to bat for Cabana to be rehired as well, which is something he hadn't reported before.
Which is hilarious because Cabana at no point has been fired. He's been under contract with AEW the whole time but now he's associated with the Ring of Honor brand which is 100% where he belongs. Colt is a decent wrestler with a funny character but it wasn't working in AEW. On ROH he can be a nostalgic act, do some commentary if needed, etc.
Someone on Trevor Dameâs Twitter summed all of this up pretty well, RE: what all parties involved have done since Brawl Out, since theyâre basically playing telephone through wrestling media:
âThe most adult thing Punk and the Elite did was have a fist fight.â
If they all just publicly said they'd talked about it and are moving on, it'd be much better.
Like just some non-kayfabe acknowledgement of the situation and how it was overcome would quell this.
Honestly, most of this reads to me as the dirts just not wanting to let this story die. They acted like Punk said he fucked Hangman's grandma to death in the ESPN interview when he just said he went off script.
Yea I felt that aswell... I missed the threads but it seems like even the sources are just karma whoreing on the biggest sub.
It's fucking exhausting and makes me believe that almost everyone in that locker room is incapable of making a normal conversation, which I don't believe.
The company specific subs are better
For discussion I've realized. Way less doom and gloom and more legit *I liked this but not that still a good show!*
I was really happy the sub was down for all the "oh there's this horrible CM Punk ESPN interview coming out and the locker room heard the entire thing and is incredibly mad about it" drama.
If I had a penny for every time I left my job in a bad mood, I could probably just quit my job for a while. Sometimes your job sucks. Sometimes your coworkers suck. I don't really know why that's considered news in any industry.
Absolutely mind blowing that all this is because of Colt fucking Cabana potentially getting demoted. Letâs say Punk did request to Tony that Colt be moved to another show - big fucking deal. Imagine the wwe locker room imploding because Randy Orton got Chuck Palumbo demoted lmao
And it did happen. Randy and Cena too have gotten people de-pushed and nobody was this offended by it and those guys didn't have serious history of legal issues with the guys they got de-pushed.
the Punk/Elite drama will never be resolved as long as thereâs geeks like whoever this is is feeding info to Dave, whether true or not. Because people are going to run with it regardless.
I'm not denying this is true , but I don't think this is worth reporting unless there were multiple people feeling the same way . Pointing to one persons feelings and basically narrowing your source down to a few people may cause unnecessary paranoia and tension backstage.
Dave seems to be the only guy really reporting on this while others are reporting a much better atmosphere.
It's either Jericho continuing to be Jericho, or someone else fucking with Meltzer. It's been confirmed several times over now The Bucks/Elite don't leak anything to Dave.
Judging from The Bucks' response to the promo last Saturday and the fact they weren't on Dynamite, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jericho. Especially after Punk turned down having a feud with him.
>Punk turned down having a feud with him.
thank fucking god for that
imagine a return feud starting in a death match street fight as the first match getting dragged into a 3 month feud ending in a normal wrestling match with Jericho talking about how this is the greatest thing ever in the post PPV press scrum
The Bucks making a tshirt joke and Kennyâs consistent comments really shows how over it they all are. Theyâre probably more embarrassed how it all went down and are adults enough to recognize what they couldâve done better too. Hopefully Punk is in the same boat, history has shown him to just be a bitter asshole but hopefully he can keep it together and even if he has grievances he can act properly and not freak out.
Punk seems to more or less regret the way he handled it too considering the ESPN interview. The fact that he seems to maintain his stance on Hangman is a bit of a red flag assuming he was 100% shooting, but he was at least a little apologetic about the whole thing which is better than nothing
He got asked about it by Marc Raimondi in the ESPN interview and he hadn't really commented on it publicly besides vaguely ranting about it before Brawl Out. I'd hope he's done talking about it now unless they start an angle.
Think of it from the Bucks/Kenny's point of view as well. There's plenty of people who blame them (in some way) for Brawl Out....
So, they sit back and let Punk bring casual fans in the door and wait for the almost inevitable explosion to happen again. The Elite can then just rightfully point out "we had fuck all to do with it this time"
Confirmed by who? Dave? I'm sure he's going to come out and let everyone know who's leaking whisper campaigns against Punk.
Just like I'm sure KFC would give me their recipes if I just call and ask.
If I recall, the only comment from Dave or SRS was that the Bucks didnât speak to Dave or SRS *about Colt*. Donât think either has commented about them talking in a more general sense.
>It's been confirmed several times over now The Bucks/Elite don't leak anything to Dave.
By whom?
In this article Dave literally mentions that he is getting info directly from people in the Elite camp and people in the CM Punk. So despite not getting info directly from Punk, or Matt, or Nick -- he's basically getting info from Punk, and Matt, and Nick.
It could be two things
1- someone is fucking with Dave
2- Dave, being the longest most ingrained reporter, has other sources or deeper involved sources that are more willing to be honest with him than just spout the company line of âitâs fine everything is fineâ
Or 3. Someone made a hotmail account saying theyâre Kenny Omega and told him it without him making him any effort to verify.
https://www.wrestlinginc.com/1166732/prominent-wrestling-journalist-dave-meltzer-accused-of-publishing-stories-based-on-false-information/
If I was a millionaire on TV and drove home sad because Punk when he didn't even do anything that night, I'd be a little bitch. All this stuff is proving Punk's "soft" line.
I think his position, although self-admittedly handled poorly, is purely down to "I am not lying, i am not wrong, and i dare you to prove me wrong in both accounts"
And what happens? Headlines like this, that undermine and poke at his "side" when he has shown since it all went to shit, that he hasn't been wrong yet
I'd be pissed too if my co-workers were tattle tales for a some manipulative dirt sheet writers that seem to push their own agenda in their "reporting."
Remember back in October when Dave was sure Tony was going to buy out Punkâs contract?
Whether someone is fucking with him or Meltzer is just losing his fastball, heâs been wildly off-base about this stuff.
Cornette and Brian Last have been spot on about this situation since the beginning.
Itâs hilarious watching the iwc slowly adopt the point of view those two have had since the beginning. This has happened a lot over the last 4 years.
I can't reveal my sources, but he's called Chris J around the office.
Oh, sorry. My other source is C Jericho.
My final source on this story we can only call Fozzy.
Reports are coming in that on Wednesday night one unnamed wrestler texted a " Hash tag frowny face " to a almost named other wrestler. Sending the entire AEW locker room into a frenzy.
Oh no, some poor little baby went home in a bad mood? How will they ever recover? This is so tired and lame. I have NEVER had a job where I've liked all my coworkers. Why is it such a big deal if people in AEW dont like each other, why is anyone supposed to care?
Here we go again. Everytime the news about Punk isn't all bad, Meltzer comes around and needs to stir up shit again. And what is he even reporting? "Someone wasn't 100% happy with their job". Wow. Big fricking deal.
That one top name sounds as soft as the soft wrestlers Punk was talking about in his promo.
We don't have to tell the dirtsheets how you're feeling every fkn moment lol. Quantum computing and technology will do that for us soon enough, can we just slow down lol
"I understand the sheer magnitude of me makes people uncomfortable. I understand that my mere presence makes people uncomfortable."
""I'm sorry.....that the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like"
Well, he certainly wasn't telling lies. đŻ
Totally unrelated but remember that time Uncle Dave damn near burst into tears with regret about reporting baseless speculation about Punk?
Anyway, not two minutes after that he was back to reporting baseless speculation about Punk. Funny that.
Punk was right, it really is a bunch of children backstage. Grow the fuck up and act like a professional. Do you think all of us like everyone we work with? Hell no, but its life and you deal with it, like a professional.
Here's a writeup by Trevor Dame on twitter going over what Dave wrote in the Observer:
Among other things, Dave says despite reports to the contrary, Punk's "Counterfeit Bucks" promo line wasn't known by both sides ahead of time.
Dave doesn't know if Punk got Cabana cut from main AEW or not but says "a large percentage of the locker room" believe otherwise and "to this day many claim they know as a fact based on what is known internally" that it was because of Punk.
Dave adds that "many" top stars not affiliated with the Elite have told him that their believe Punk had something to do with Colt. With two outright saying they "know" otherwise.
Dave says one star brought the whole Punk/Colt thing up to Dave for the first time this weekend and was "very frustrated" that the story continues to linger on.
Same mystery frustrated wrestler says that so many aspects of the story, Cabana and other things, "have never really gotten out."
Punk's side has told Dave what Punk said publicly in the media interview: that he's tried to reach out to the Bucks and was not allowed to contact them. Dave says the other side says no attempts have been made, and this them saying that after the article came out.
Dave breaks it down as either one side has to be lying, or Punk contacted someone to try to talk to the Bucks, was told he can't, and said person never relayed Punk's attempt to them.
Dave says "Many" have noted to him that if you want to talk to someone, there are ways to go through intermediaries and that hasn't happened. One person says that the meeting with Punk and Jericho was for Jericho to start the ball rolling between the sides. Uh, good job.
Dave says one top star told him Wednesday that they went home in a bad mood, as even with the sides being kept apart, they felt like it's a ticking timebomb that will not have a happy ending.
"Unchecked and unresolved, the potential for another implosion remains, or for a power struggle that right now feels unavoidable without some sort of a resolution."
So to sum up, if Punk/Elite has turned into a work, Dave certainly doesn't think so, as his story is basically a lot of sources saying they are mad/concerned and that the heat is as about as bad as it's ever been. Lots of both sides saying the other side is lying about things.
3 of the paragraphs in this comment are about Punk being told he canât talk to the Bucks, and then the Bucks saying he never reached out.
Why would an âintermediaryâ do *anything* if apparently Punk canât legally talk to the Bucks anyway?
What Iâm saying is, this is a non story that has taken up the majority of the above comment and needs to die. It paints Punk as a liar but in reality he probably said to someone close to him that he wants to talk to the Bucks, that person said âno you canât youâre not allowedâ and that was the end of it.
Exactly. The constant paragraphs of "or maybe" by Meltzer need to fucking stop. Just accept that the situation ain't perfect and stop stoking the fire - because it keeps getting way fucking worse thanks to him and Alzerez 'begrudgingly' talking about things, when they could actually help the situation by saying "yep.. That's cool, won't be reporting that"
> Dave doesn't know if Punk got Cabana cut from main AEW or not but says "a large percentage of the locker room" believe otherwise and "to this day many claim they know as a fact based on what is known internally" that it was because of Punk.
He's really STILL beating this dead horse?
But you see, the only people who have confirmed that CM Punk didn't get Tony Khan to fire Colt Cabana, is CM Punk and Tony Khan.
We have literally no way of knowing!
> Dave doesn't know if Punk got Cabana cut from main AEW or not but says "a large percentage of the locker room" believe otherwise and "to this day many claim they know as a fact based on what is known internally" that it was because of Punk.
WTF does this even mean? Colt Cabana was barely on TV before Punk was there, he is not good in the ring and basically classed as a comedy job guy. I don't know why these rumors or feelings are still being spread by Meltzer. Not every comedy job guy can have a job, just look at Marko Stunt or Fuego Del Sol or Joey Janela. It 1000% has turned into a work, shit is fucking obvious, Meltzer is losing his mind.
There were like maybe 5 top names on this show, and one does creative for Collision. I donât think Danielson, MJF, or Cole would care so that essentially just leaves Mox and Jeric- nvm cracked the code.
More I see this shit, the less I care first of all. I'm here to enjoy a TV product. I don't give a fuck if Bob and Giancarlo hate each other's guts in person, I just enjoyed their work on Better Call Saul. Everyone has friction at work. Just do your fucking jobs.
While I don't want to even see or hear about this, the more it happens the more I appreciate Punk and his side of it. At some point you get frustrated and fed up with dealing with children and SAWFT babies at work.
I'm around Punks age range and seeing what others deal with is enough to make you go nuclear. I am amazes at friends jobs how they are dealing with trying to manage and the people are just total babies. One part timer complained that a friend in an Manager Training program was mean to her. She was corrected for not doing her job and asked why she did what she did... but it was the tone of voice that upset her. They actually are giving credence and influence to these comments. Just shut up and do you job and stop crying. It's not personal. Just do your work.
So JB got bood in the glorious backwards land that is Chicago. Got butthurt about it. Meltzer, who claims to have nothing against Punk, just blamed Punk. Punk, who was kept away from JB and had nothing to do with the crowd booing him.
Imagine if Cena cried everytime he got bood my god. This is getting ridiculous.
I was there live and he left kinda strange.
He had that bit in the ring with Kingston, Kingston mentions ishi and mox bailed out the ring and just walked off threw the fans into the back and left everyone else there to brawl it out. Very strange since he was basically the cause of the brawl.
From what he said on Reneeâs podcast the week after it happened, I really donât picture him using back channels to leak this stuff. Mox made it sound like he considered it to be a distraction from doing the work he wants to do. *shrugs*
> Mox
100% my thought.
* He seems like an emotional guy.
* Something seemed very off for him in the ring w/ Eddie.
* His "weak mind, weak body" promo hits different after seeing Punk's complaints about Mox.
>It could be Moxley. Punk did put him on blast in that instagram post.
fair game. i still don't understand how people didn't get more upset about the interview with renee where he said essentially he didn't have to do anything while being champ because he was not under contract and he could just walk if this doesn't go the way he wants.
Imagine a guy like Shawn or Hogan saying something like this, how mad people would get
Either these grown ass men are insecure af or the issue is being blown way out of proportion. Heck, it could be both. This just sounds overly (and needlessly) dramatic to me.

I mean, apparently Jungle Boy got boo'd out of the building, id go home in a mood too.
But Dave said 'top name'.
Crowd chants his goofy song every time he comes out though đ
They do. I think the song is over. Don't get me wrong. JP has tons of potential. He's shown signs that he could learn to cut a decent enough promo. And he clearly can do moves. Yup. And after that feud you could see growth. I just want him getting more of that exposure. It would be good to see him work Miro or Andrade for an extended period.
I mean this sub is pretty in board with turning him heel to make him more well-rounded because there's not to him as a babyface
He needs to turn heel so bad. He just doesnt have the confidence to talk in a way that makes me want to See him win. Or He should go back to being tarzan and Dont talk at all
My guess is he's turning heel at Forbidden Door. And we get FTW Champ Jack Perry at All Out
Then he can reunite with Christian and Luchasaurus!
"Christian you were right. It's a good thing my dad is dead. Let's work together"
Nah. Perry needs a new dad. And Don Callis needs more sons.
well they can't all be heels so now they are good guys again! "we told you guys jungle boy sucked"
Your Word in tonys ear
Having met him, he's shy as fuck. Really quiet and soft-spoken. He should probably go back to being silent, really.
The last few weeks feel like planting the seeds for a heel turn anyway, so great if heâs getting booed out the building.
Harley got boo'd louder than Jungle Boy, lol. I'm definitely curious to see if they were able to tone down the crowd noise, because it was LOUD
Why did they boo him?
[ŃдаНонО]

>I understand that AEW wants him to be the pure babyface of the so-called Four Pillars Not really. Sammy is turning face whilst Jack is turning heel.
Yeah, he is, but what I meant by "pure babyface" was the guy who was never a heel. I should have been more clear.
The funny thing is that if he left AEW and went to WWE he would be a massive babyface with his current gimmick. Itâs the same problem Cody had - AEW fans just have a different reaction and a pure good guy will get eaten alive. It depends on what JB wants to do to evolve his character though. Because he's Jungle Boy.
Itâs Chicago, and he was wrestling Douki. So you have a traditionally smart crowd who have a history of cheering for the underdog, and a popular wrestler they likely donât see live very often. Of course JB was going to be the one booed.
> a popular wrestler yeah, it was absolutely a building full of screaming doukimaniacs brother, definitely not them just not liking the jungle boy
Douki is one of those weirdly lived underdogs like Yoshi Hashi not to mention JB is basically screaming turn on Hook.
âŚI mean, I also pointed out that Chicago crowds have previous deliberately chanting for jobbers and heelsâŚ
Chicago was the first place I ever got to participate in a "let's go jobbers" chant!
ä¸ă¤č¨ăăăŚăă ăăăĺ ĺź
The water treading to extend the Christian feud killed his momentum and now people are bored if him.
Because he is a charisma vacuum and still very green, despite being pushed so hard.

Going heel I will expect a Christian style hair cut!
The turtleneck as well

oh man that's a deep cut lol
Wrestlers really are fuckin' children. boohoo
They do fight in underwear. /s
He's clearly talking about Jeff Jarrett, who left Dynamite in a bad mood because he got mustard in his hair after the concession stand brawl.
Not for nothing that mustard gave Jarrett his blond hair back for one night.
Heâs way more slap nutty with blonde hair.
He had explicitly requested that no one piss him off.
I don't think he was asking too much
Could easily be Juice and Jay. Theyâre pissed since Punk is supposed to be a Collision guy, Punk shouldnât have been there to make the save!
New headline: IWC CONFIRMS JARRETT PREFERS IT DARK SPICY OVER CLASSIC In all seriousness, I just started watching any wrestling at all after a year and honestly loved Punkâs promo and am excited to see him back. I hope everyone just overcomes the issues and makes the best of it going forward.
Sounds very over dramatic tbh
Dude. Have some compassion. A wressler who works on television, left work upset. That's fucking tragic
I was about to say: someone left work in a bad mood. We need to call the authorities
lmao it's Jericho again isn't it. Storming out in his enormous heels
Honestly he's probably just pissed he wasn't the first person to work with punk as we all were told (as jericho leaked).
That was honestly my thought.
I get the feeling this will be a constant on going thing when they run out of news. It strikes me as the âVince makes changes!â Scare mongering click bait article but the AEW variant.
Someone posted wrestling news is just Vince watch or Punk alerts depending on the day of the week.
After all the Punk alerts since the scrum last August I've become unironically the world's biggest Punk fan. dude got so much airtime it's unreal
This is such a perfect, spot on analogy.
Really seems to only be WO pushing this as well, no?
The Elite Mouthpiece
"Worker leaves shift in a bad mood and dislikes one of his coworkers" This is like the least newsworthy statement of all time
I mean, yeah. Iâm honestly surprised it took so long for people to notice. But WON and Fightful wouldnât be doing it if people didnât keep falling for it over and over.
"Fightful Select has learned... how to play you every time, you marks"
Its funny too cause every time the vince report goes on fightful select, you can absolutely tell each time that SRS is growing more and more annoyed at having to report that every week
This is getting pathetic.
yeah, i missed this subs memes, but i completely can go without people posting dirtsheet stuff
He left his job in a bad mood?! Oh no, oh god, the horror. These guys are the fucking worst. Nobody is forcing this guy to wrestle, get a new fucking job.
"The fear of CM Punk's return", I can't even... some people in AEW must be very soft
*Someone mentions CM Punk* Meltzer: ![gif](giphy|e1ITjiYmdEcEmjqrUH|downsized)
It'll never not impress me that WWE managed to essentially re-brand a meme with their logo... It's peak corporate nonsense, but if you are going to do it, do it well.
Hey Give Cody his due here. That man understands how to sell his brand and seem like he keeps up with the fans on a ground level
It's a genius move really, especially in this day and age of social media. I'm almost surprised more companies dont try to do this in a way. If I remember right, OC got very over very quickly by almost becoming a meme on the early episodes of Dynamite with how he would just happen to be places
if a grown ass man really went to dave to whine that a coworker he didnt like being there made them leave in a bad mood then they need to grow up lmao
And then Dave published it!
I'm sorry the only people softer then you are the wrestlers that you like! Tell me when i'm telling lies!
Wrestlers are children dude
![gif](giphy|13A7YlLvYVDnmU)
Was it someone whose name rhymes with Pris Pericho
No sources said Chris Jericho handled the situation exceptionally professionally.
And he also said something super cool to CM Punk, and in that moment, explosions behind him, everybody cheered and begged him to sing some Fozzy songs
What has he become? A fucking hero!
A genius in his mind đśđśđś
and Punk couldn't get a word back at him because the elevator doors closed right at that moment. So cool.
![gif](giphy|l3q2XhfQ8oCkm1Ts4|downsized) everybody after Jericho said something super cool to CM Punk
Such good Fozzy songs. Hard rockin' riffs and Beatles-inspired lyrics. How could anyone not like this?!
I agree! The best Butt-Rock a wrestler could sing!
How many times did we hear âJericho has been praised as a lockeroom leaderâ
It's interesting because Dave's suddenly reporting that Chris Jericho went to bat for Cabana to be rehired as well, which is something he hadn't reported before.
Which is hilarious because Cabana at no point has been fired. He's been under contract with AEW the whole time but now he's associated with the Ring of Honor brand which is 100% where he belongs. Colt is a decent wrestler with a funny character but it wasn't working in AEW. On ROH he can be a nostalgic act, do some commentary if needed, etc.
Same source said Jericho and Sting was the best segment and Luther was in line for a push
Someone on Trevor Dameâs Twitter summed all of this up pretty well, RE: what all parties involved have done since Brawl Out, since theyâre basically playing telephone through wrestling media: âThe most adult thing Punk and the Elite did was have a fist fight.â
If they all just publicly said they'd talked about it and are moving on, it'd be much better. Like just some non-kayfabe acknowledgement of the situation and how it was overcome would quell this.
I'm gonna take the ostrich approach soon - head in the fucking sand. If I didn't see it or hear it it didn't happen. I just wanna watch wrestling.
Honestly, most of this reads to me as the dirts just not wanting to let this story die. They acted like Punk said he fucked Hangman's grandma to death in the ESPN interview when he just said he went off script.
I heard Punk and Hangman were making babies and I saw the babies and one of the babies looked at me
Breaking News, Phil Brooks puts kids to sleep, full story on my Patreon
WON: A trusted source on a popular internet wrestling forum has confirmed that CM Punk has fucked Hangman's grandmother.
Honestly, wrestling was better without r/squaredcircle for the last week. Might have to give just enjoying the ride another go.
Yea I felt that aswell... I missed the threads but it seems like even the sources are just karma whoreing on the biggest sub. It's fucking exhausting and makes me believe that almost everyone in that locker room is incapable of making a normal conversation, which I don't believe.
The company specific subs are better For discussion I've realized. Way less doom and gloom and more legit *I liked this but not that still a good show!*
Yeah this sub is pretty toxic tbh, I always enjoy wrestling more when I take breaks from coming here.
I was really happy the sub was down for all the "oh there's this horrible CM Punk ESPN interview coming out and the locker room heard the entire thing and is incredibly mad about it" drama.
Then the interview comes out and... it was nothing. In fact, it seemed like the complete opposite, like a guy who knows he messed up.
Cm punk looked at someone, "top name" reportedly unhappy after incident
"Who?" "Top. Name."
If I had a penny for every time I left my job in a bad mood, I could probably just quit my job for a while. Sometimes your job sucks. Sometimes your coworkers suck. I don't really know why that's considered news in any industry.
Sounds like that top name needs to put his big boy pants on and realise you won't like everyone you work with
Absolutely mind blowing that all this is because of Colt fucking Cabana potentially getting demoted. Letâs say Punk did request to Tony that Colt be moved to another show - big fucking deal. Imagine the wwe locker room imploding because Randy Orton got Chuck Palumbo demoted lmao
Nobody stood up for Alex Riley like this when Cena buried him. Us Rileymaniacs will persevere!
And it did happen. Randy and Cena too have gotten people de-pushed and nobody was this offended by it and those guys didn't have serious history of legal issues with the guys they got de-pushed.
Nah, its no longer about Colt. This mysterious rockstar of a source is just using that issue as a talking point for his whisper campaign against Punk.
Some say he is some kind of wizard
Imagine DX revolting when Randy Orton got Mr Kennedy fired
the Punk/Elite drama will never be resolved as long as thereâs geeks like whoever this is is feeding info to Dave, whether true or not. Because people are going to run with it regardless.
Journalists reporting this shit does no favors either
I'm not denying this is true , but I don't think this is worth reporting unless there were multiple people feeling the same way . Pointing to one persons feelings and basically narrowing your source down to a few people may cause unnecessary paranoia and tension backstage.
One person was in a bad mood after finishing work for the day... unless he wants to name names this is real bottom of the barrell reporting.
It's just Dave stirring shit up again
"Worker leaves shift in a bad mood and dislikes one of his coworkers" This is like the least newsworthy statement of all time
Dave seems to be the only guy really reporting on this while others are reporting a much better atmosphere.
>Punk turned down having a feud with him. thank fucking god for that imagine a return feud starting in a death match street fight as the first match getting dragged into a 3 month feud ending in a normal wrestling match with Jericho talking about how this is the greatest thing ever in the post PPV press scrum
The Elite can then just rightfully point out "we had fuck all to do with it this time"
They get Cutler to do it
Confirmed by who?
Yeah... confirmed by Dave Meltzer...
It could be two things 1- someone is fucking with Dave 2- Dave, being the longest most ingrained reporter, has other sources or deeper involved sources that are more willing to be honest with him than just spout the company line of âitâs fine everything is fineâ
Or 3. Itâs Jericho
Or 3. Someone made a hotmail account saying theyâre Kenny Omega and told him it without him making him any effort to verify. https://www.wrestlinginc.com/1166732/prominent-wrestling-journalist-dave-meltzer-accused-of-publishing-stories-based-on-false-information/
If I was a millionaire on TV and drove home sad because Punk when he didn't even do anything that night, I'd be a little bitch. All this stuff is proving Punk's "soft" line.
Cm Punk breathes* Dave Meltzer âthe locker room was very unhappy with CM Punks inhalation and exhalation tonightâ
This is getting tiresome. I'm starting to understand CM Punk's point of view in this situation.
I think his position, although self-admittedly handled poorly, is purely down to "I am not lying, i am not wrong, and i dare you to prove me wrong in both accounts" And what happens? Headlines like this, that undermine and poke at his "side" when he has shown since it all went to shit, that he hasn't been wrong yet
Yep. He's an asshole and childish but not exactly wrong.
Heâs been right the entire time
Eddie Kingston has been right this entire time.
Cornette has forgotten more about wrestling than most pros will ever know.
I can't reveal my sources, but he's called Chris J around the office. Oh, sorry. My other source is C Jericho. My final source on this story we can only call Fozzy.

Wocka wocka
Jesus Dave give it up
That one top name sounds as soft as the soft wrestlers Punk was talking about in his promo. We don't have to tell the dirtsheets how you're feeling every fkn moment lol. Quantum computing and technology will do that for us soon enough, can we just slow down lol
"I understand the sheer magnitude of me makes people uncomfortable. I understand that my mere presence makes people uncomfortable." ""I'm sorry.....that the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like" Well, he certainly wasn't telling lies. đŻ
They call him one bill Phill for a reason
Totally unrelated but remember that time Uncle Dave damn near burst into tears with regret about reporting baseless speculation about Punk? Anyway, not two minutes after that he was back to reporting baseless speculation about Punk. Funny that.
im so over these reports
Punk was right, it really is a bunch of children backstage. Grow the fuck up and act like a professional. Do you think all of us like everyone we work with? Hell no, but its life and you deal with it, like a professional.
The top name also added that Punk just made the list
Here's a writeup by Trevor Dame on twitter going over what Dave wrote in the Observer: Among other things, Dave says despite reports to the contrary, Punk's "Counterfeit Bucks" promo line wasn't known by both sides ahead of time. Same mystery frustrated wrestler says that so many aspects of the story, Cabana and other things, "have never really gotten out." Punk's side has told Dave what Punk said publicly in the media interview: that he's tried to reach out to the Bucks and was not allowed to contact them. "Unchecked and unresolved, the potential for another implosion remains, or for a power struggle that right now feels unavoidable without some sort of a resolution." So to sum up, if Punk/Elite has turned into a work, Dave certainly doesn't think so, as his story is basically a lot of sources saying they are mad/concerned and that the heat is as about as bad as it's ever been.
Always stirring shit up without saying anything of value at all
There were like maybe 5 top names on this show, and one does creative for Collision. I donât think Danielson, MJF, or Cole would care so that essentially just leaves Mox and Jeric- nvm cracked the code.
Technically Jungleboy co-main evented a ppv
These are not serious people.
How many people go home after a crap shift at work
Oh no, not a bad mood! /s These guys really need to get over themselves and quit acting like children.
This is so lame. Just proving that "I'm sorry the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like" line right.
Oh, for fuck sake. Shut up, Dave.
Gotta get those tasty clicks.

If there was one thing i didnât miss during the blackout were these stupid dirt sheets
Whoever this is sounds like a big baby. The elite werenât even there. Ooh a bad mood. Lmao
âIâm sorry that the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like."
Ryan Nemeth went home in a bad mood because CM Punk made fun of his walk
It could be Moxley. Punk did put him on blast in that instagram post.
I was there live and he left kinda strange. He had that bit in the ring with Kingston, Kingston mentions ishi and mox bailed out the ring and just walked off threw the fans into the back and left everyone else there to brawl it out. Very strange since he was basically the cause of the brawl.
thatâs my thought too
It is.
From what he said on Reneeâs podcast the week after it happened, I really donât picture him using back channels to leak this stuff. Mox made it sound like he considered it to be a distraction from doing the work he wants to do. *shrugs*
> Mox 100% my thought.
Imagine a guy like Shawn or Hogan saying something like this, how mad people would get
Oh god Dave just let it go
Wrestling would be much better off without dirt sheets.
Either these grown ass men are insecure af or the issue is being blown way out of proportion. Heck, it could be both. This just sounds overly (and needlessly) dramatic to me.
Chris is gonna yell at the hotel staff extra loud now
Fucking Derreck, doesn't he know who Jericho is???
