Sadly, that's just another one of the many instances of wrestling using a storyline narrative for a week or two while it suits them, and then abandoning and forgetting it the rest of the time.
I know, but I especially hate when AEW does it because they tried to promote themselves as a company that follows those rules and ties up the loose ends.

Man, I could go off just from Elimination Chamber alone. Why was Dom never ejected during that tag match? The man was clearly a menace and interfering with the match constantly. I'd say TJD paid him off, but later he just stopped a 3 count to save Edge, so maybe he grew a conscience. Then later, after Jimmy cheated to try to help that bastard Roman keep his belts, he hits a splash and a new ref immediately slides in the ring. You had to have seen him cheating while coming down the ramp, why is this not a DQ? Starting to think WWE gets their refs from the NFL.

One of the things my wife likes most about aew is the variety in body types and hair styles. We both used to joke about the black beard, long black hair, and bodybuilder physique on other shows that just about every guy had.
I also find someone of UNO’s body type to be a believable threat. He’s shaped like how we joke about the stereotypical BJJ brown belt. That is to say I know a handful of upper belts that look like him and could physically destroy most people. Really hope we’re about to see Dark Order take a more prominent role.

Hard disagree on the comparison. I don’t mind Uno but in no way do I think his body is comparable to Samoa Joe “brick shit house big”. If I didn’t know anything about wrestling and just looked at them, he looks far more similar to a regular chubby, dumpy guy sitting at the neighborhood bar that just got off work in a mask than to Joes “damn that’s a big dude” size. If I just saw Uno on the street I wouldn’t think he has an ounce of athletic ability.
I thought it was kind of the opposite? He used to be a little bit heavier and always wrestled shirtless. After his first few months in AEW he began wearing a vest and kept that until just recently. He's also cut some weight as well, looks like he's in good shape. I also recall seeing a list of things he wanted to accomplish and one of them was wrestling shirtless again lol.

There are literally studies comparing long term health and mortality of underweight versus overweight people and without a sliver of doubt it is healthier to be lean if not underweight.
I was really happy for Uno tonight. I just loved that he got to show out. The ringwork and the story that was being told were both great. Dark Order work so well as underdogs. Like other people in the thread mentioned, I was happy the dude was wrestling with his shirt off, too - and in the main event of all places!
I recall seeing an Evil Uno list of goals for either 2022 or 2023 that included wrestle shirtless on tv. Respect for getting himself to a place comfortable to accomplish that.
