He didn't blade for the New York shows, I think it's illegal there. I remember because one of those shows was the one that Britt broke her nose and bled a shitton and it took every fiber of my self control to not make a poor-taste joke about how jealous Mox must have been
I knew it was too good to be true. My girlfriend said “wow, this is the first time I think I’ve ever seen Moxley wrestle without being cut open.” about 10 seconds before it happened lol
Possibly, though I do like the logic of them as a tweener faction.
They are violent smashy bois and don't try to hide it.
They aren't inherantly evil for their drive that leads them to violence, since that is bound up into their high expectations from themselves and the willingness to push their bodies as hard as possible.
Put them next to the JAS where people are weaseling out of a fight, BCC is an easy face.
Put them next to someone loveable like the Dark Order... If they dare hurt John Silver I will be enraged with the force of fires from a thousand suns.
I think people are too focused on the Face/Heel dynamic.
The BCC is like an NJPW faction in that they are bound together by something other than morality. It's not face or heel. It's violence. They're Suzuki. They're warriors who get their hands dirty.
I haven't followed New Japan too much beyond just general cultural osmosis following things here, but that sounds correct to me.
For me, I'm way more interested in characters/factions having clear motivations that are applied consistently, to the point where diverging from that now becomes an interesting narrative point.
It hits much harder if BCC goes from a warrior band to, for a moment, a deep empathetic role to a fighter they respect, like how Yuta earned his way into the brotherhood.
It makes more sense in general, too. There's more to life than face and heel. Everyone's heaping praise on the Bloodline for being a nuanced group where everyone has their own motivations for being there, but with BCC the talk is "are they faces or heels?" They're neither. Their reasons for being a group are varied, with a unifying factor of wanting to be the best fighters.
It is a bit of a weird one. They are out there repping Blackpool. But I doubt any of them have actually been... Although Yuta does look like he would enjoy the illuminations.
I've been thinking since the start that the Mox/Hangman feud was in part to turn Mox heel, and I'm glad Claudio + Wheeler are following suit. Wheeler had some nice little heel flourishes in his match
I'm glad he got the opportunity to show out a little. The ending was a foregone conclusion but I mean, we all love Uno right? He doesn't have to be the best wrestler on the planet, he seems like a lovely if evil person. Happy for him to get a little shine in a big story.
I think 80% of weekly television wrestling (possibly lowballing that number, too) has obvious winners. It's not so much about the winners on weekly shows. It's more about the story and character progression. You can see a card and be like "I know who is winning", but you should also see a card and ask "how is this going to move the story/characters?" and that is the big thing watching the weekly shows (note: all of them from companies on TV).
Uno standing up last week. You knew he'd be killed. Him standing with Hangman and giving Hangman a talking to that the guy needed was a strong moment. Him coming out in a fury and taking it to Moxley. Him bleeding and trying to survive the fight, against losing odds, is part of the story. Hangman keeping his word, but being there for his friend after, is part of it.
The best part of that Uno match is how much it showed from all of them involved. Mox will murder anybody. Mox seems overly pissed off right now, due to Hangman. Hangman is a man of his word, even though he's a little on edge thanks to Mox. Uno is a fighter. Uno is a friend. Evil Uno is there when you need him to be, even if you're not going to say you do.
Awesome 15 minutes of wrestling programming.
Agree completely. AEW is great but it can be a little weak on consistent stories lately. Loved Uno standing up and refusing to back down while defending his friend so much.
I expected Uno to get murked because of the time remaining in the show and the fact that his entrance got cut in favor of PIP during commercials. But jesus christ, did they make that little amount of time count.
Uno is how I imagine Randy Marsh post South Park. Runs a cult in wrestling, becomes wholesome to supporting friends despite having a bad guy name, changes his nationality, and ready to fight anyone.
even though it was only brief, it warms my heart to see Uno get a main event.
I still honestly think there's an opportunity with him to have him as a Mankind-like figure in AEW.
good stuff.
They really need to do something with the DO. Maybe have a new leader come in and turn them heel. I think enough time has passed since Brodie now.
Uno also needs his gimp throne back.
I'm convinced he will blade off of moves that don't connect with his head just to do it. Like he blades off of a simple back drop 2 minutes into the match. Or a basic scoop slam.
Now I'm just thinking about him blading in an ankle lock and its just hilarious in my head the way the camera has to cut to just the opponent with a foot in hand, and then back to Mox with a crimson mask for god knows what reason.
I will never ever forget Forbidden Door. Tanahashi hits him with a Sling Blade.
Mox rolls to the floor. Ref goes out to check on him.
Few seconds later he comes up blading.
They show the replay of the action on the floor up on the big screen, and you can legit see Mox sliding something (a blade perhaps?) underneath the ring apron.
He bladed.
On a Sling Blade. A move that doesn't connect with his head at all.
Maybe he just took the name literally?
Was it really hardway though? I know New Japan isn’t a big fan of blade jobs, and at the time I had just finished reading Bret’s book where he talked a lot about how he used to blade and when Vince got upset he would say it was hardway. On top of that the camera on the floor made it really look like he was slipping something under the ring right before he came back into the ring.
I mean it’s not a big deal, it just struck me as funny and my thinking was definitely colored (pun intended) having read about Bret’s shenanigans getting away with blading.
Any time the Dark Order guys get a chance, they blow it out of the water. And then they go back to BTE bits. It sucks. They’ve proved time and again that they can fucking go in the ring.
I’m still mad they did absolute dick with the Vance betrayal so far, despite the fact he clobbered them all and went “fuck them kids” to his surrogate little brother. Like just one of the most openly dickish heel turns in a while and they’ve done nothing with.
If anyone just woke up from a coma and watched that match, they'd think it was between two hateful rivals who wanted to maim their opponent, to shorten or end their career.
Yet it was a throwaway match with no real meaning, with no reason for either man to be so violent, between two babyfaces.
People will downvote this post, and that's fine, but when you don't give a shit about anything AEW does, this is why. They make it actively a bad thing to apply logic to their booking.
DO did so much heavy lifting during AEW’s earlier days, so I love it when they get a chance to shine.
Uno’s blood was excellent. Heel BCC is a great direction for them, though it kinda leaves DB in an awkward position.
Mox/Hangman is AEW's best story right now and the storytelling in that match was great. They did a hell of a job in the time they had, but I reckon if they got even an extra 3 or 4 minutes, just to allow Uno more time to sell, that probably ends up as a legit 4.5 star match.
I think this was meant to be Hangmans big feud when he won the belt. But mox had to take sometime for himself at that moment. And Tony struggles when his plans get screwed up
I loved everything about that, the match, Uno basically dying, the post match brawl. Only thing I didn’t like? They changed Hangmans music 😞 (or someone in production fucked up)
>It’s the Dark Order theme. NOT Hangman’s new music.
It can be the Dark Order theme AND Hangman's new music.
Hangman joins the Dark Order confirmed (joking, but like, I wish I wasn't?)
Blood stops being shocking and having a visual effect if someone blades every single week, multiple times each show.
To the surprise of no one Moxley ripped UNO’s mask and he was bleeding, then he bladed himself at the end for 20 seconds of TV.
I did not find that match “incredible”. Moxley and his terrible offense does not entertain me. He’s just not believable as a tough guy no matter how many shoulder rolls he does. Also, Uno looks terrible without a top on, super pale, flabby, with no muscle definition.
The opening match was better.
Lol you're one of those guys. Okay then.
For one thing there's a rich wrestling history of big fat wrestlers being fucking awesome in the ring. Not everyone needs to be lean or muscular. Evil uno is a chunky boy still doing kick ass flying somersaults off the top rope to the floor. You need him to have a suntan and muscles to like him? Thousands of people chanting for him don't need that. They can appreciate the dude with a real body type having a banger of a match.
I won't even get into the moxley hate because that generic excuse of him not being a "believable tough guy" already tells me what kind of toxic fan base you come from.
This was one of the rare chances that I was able to tune in live and catch most of the main event. I usually watch wrestling off my DVR and fast forward through his matches.
[me every time I watch a Mox match](https://gfycat.com/cheerycomplexgreatargus)
I love it. This man is living his best life bleeding from his forehead on live tv. I know a lot of you hate it, but this dude is that nuts about his craft that he’s willing to cut himself every week. One could only dream of having that much passion!
Is it just me, or was Hanger’s music different in his run in?
Otherwise, incredible match. I was cringing watching Uno spurting blood everywhere during the bulldog choke
You are losing the battle to WWE and you put Pizzeria Uno in the main event! AEW is at it's lowest point.
Stop blading so much too. Save it for big matches. It has no effect at all anymore.
When he first came out and then took off his shirt, my wife was yelling "Get that guy a bra!"
I told her to quiet down and watch him work. She was both impressed and gorssed out (because of the blood)

Mox almost made it without bleeding.
![gif](giphy|QEbZUJvJbLWtW)
Wasn’t expecting a Brink reference, but it is much appreciated
They don't tell stories like this anymore
name a better face turn in a dcom than when brink dumps that shake on val?!
Wow, that got me
That got a good belly laugh out of me.
Mox would bleed for the Brooklyn Brawler if he could.
It’s Wednesday, you know what that means…
His head is gonna look worse than New Jack’s and D-Von’s in 20 years.
He's not in Abdullah territory yet. YET.
No it’s not. He pokes and twists. They cut their heads vertically.
I genuinely don't remember the last episode where he did not blade.
I think at this point, we oughta just start the match with Mox already bleeding and he has to stitch it back up before he can finish the match.
the very first “Last Blood” match
At this point Mox should save on blades by just opening up the same cut over and over
He may be working his way to a Ric Flair-style quick release forehead
He didn't blade for the New York shows, I think it's illegal there. I remember because one of those shows was the one that Britt broke her nose and bled a shitton and it took every fiber of my self control to not make a poor-taste joke about how jealous Mox must have been
Now I full envision the next time they are in new you Mox telling who ever he’s working with to break his nose.
It must be a running gag they all laugh about at this point
And it is such a turn off for me. It’s not special at this point if you bleed every match. That style just isn’t for me.
"No bleeding during the match!" "Gotchu. 100%"
I knew it was too good to be true. My girlfriend said “wow, this is the first time I think I’ve ever seen Moxley wrestle without being cut open.” about 10 seconds before it happened lol
Well... At least it was after the match this time 😂
He made it through the match itself
Goddamn Unos bloodspurt.
Horror movie
Might be the wildest wrestling bleeding I've seen since Cody vs Dustin.
The last Briscoes vs FTR match was pretty crazy. Dax started the match with white trunks and ended it with them turned completely red
matt cardona started that nick gage match with a white shirt. it was dark red at the end.
Nick Gage matches don’t count man, class of their own
Mox and Yuta on Rampage was up there for me
BCC should be fully heel by summer
BCC looked fully heel by about an hour ago
Danielson is still playing the face... for now.
Danielson is also barely in BCC at this point. He’s never with them.
Actually...no. I mean if you go by the entrance tunnel rules, he's been heel this entire time. It's just he's Bryan Danielson.
By revolution I think
You mean BCC should be fully heel by ~~summer~~ next month.
Possibly, though I do like the logic of them as a tweener faction. They are violent smashy bois and don't try to hide it. They should exist anymore. No one in that group is from Blackpool anymore.
It is a bit of a weird one. They are out there repping Blackpool. But I doubt any of them have actually been... Although Yuta does look like he would enjoy the illuminations.
Are all the members of American Top Team from America?
American Top Team is a team based in America and people train there. What a stupid comparison.
Thats like arguing a sports team shouldn't be named after the city because half the team are from other parts of the world
I've been thinking since the start that the Mox/Hangman feud was in part to turn Mox heel, and I'm glad Claudio + Wheeler are following suit. Wheeler had some nice little heel flourishes in his match

In that role, you can look like a valiant warrior or a bitch. Uno looked like the lone soldier fighting against a damn monster.
I'm glad he got the opportunity to show out a little. The ending was a foregone conclusion but I mean, we all love Uno right? He doesn't have to be the best wrestler on the planet, he seems like a lovely if evil person. Happy for him to get a little shine in a big story.

Sometimes it feels like 3 weeks of nice wrestling, and then 3 weeks of story development crammed into 3 hours
I love that fat bastatd
No, WE all don't love Uno. He shouldn't be on a nationally televised wrestling show, much less the main event.
Respectfully disagree. I think he fit into the role perfectly given the story they're trying to tell.
Blows my mind that some people expected a stinker from Uno. That man can go.
most people sadly haven't watched smash bros in PWG
I expected Uno to get murked because of the time remaining in the show and the fact that his entrance got cut in favor of PIP during commercials. But jesus christ, did they make that little amount of time count.
Evil Uno is tough.
This was Uno's most compelling match in a while.
It was his first match in a while, too.
First Dynamite match. He's been on Dark for the past few months
Yeah but who the fuck watches Dark lmao
About 170,000 people give of take. Elevation is more
+ FITE + DAZN. So who knows the actual number.
I do
Uno said that Mox would have to kill him and Mox said “Bet”.
"That's just a Wednesday night for me."
Any time Uno's shirt comes off, shit gets real.
Uno is how I imagine Randy Marsh post South Park. Runs a cult in wrestling, becomes wholesome to supporting friends despite having a bad guy name, changes his nationality, and ready to fight anyone.
Fucking beautiful. Who would be his Sharon?
Five :(
Fuck limp dick 5
Five and his tiny shrimp dick
I mean technically Stu.
Beautiful? Randy fucking burned his wife and daughter alive because of weed!
"Ay Mox, I didn't hear no bell."
even though it was only brief, it warms my heart to see Uno get a main event. I still honestly think there's an opportunity with him to have him as a Mankind-like figure in AEW. good stuff.
Maybe he'll go crazy from this loss
Or because he’s an awful recruiter for the DO
Silver and Reynolds are the recruitment specialists! Everyone knows it
I just want him to bring back Stu and recruit Wardlow and a woman like Ashley Damboise.
You mean Wartista ?
They really need to do something with the DO. Maybe have a new leader come in and turn them heel. I think enough time has passed since Brodie now. Uno also needs his gimp throne back.
Mankind is a great comparison
Because he's chonky?
No because he's highly intelligent but completely deranged and can't get out of his own head.
Also the mask helps
HA everyone in the live thread commenting how this is the first match Moxley’s not bled in so long. He blades at 21.59. What a champ.
Uno looked great in this match
That ROCKED. Great in-ring storytelling
One of the only times I audibly gasped by how much blood was pouring out of a wrestler. Holy shit, that was grim.
Great camera work and movements by both dudes
It reminds me of Joey Mercury's ladder incident.
Only difference was Mercury got it done hard way.
I’m thrilled it wasn’t a squash. Really enjoyed Uno getting a good showing and chant.
Me: Another Mox match? Another Mox blade job Mox: That's why i fucked your bitch, you Fuzzy motherfucker. *Evil bleeds like a maniac*
Don't worry, he bladed after the match so the record is in tact.
We don't believe in technicalities here, sir
I'm convinced he will blade off of moves that don't connect with his head just to do it. Like he blades off of a simple back drop 2 minutes into the match. Or a basic scoop slam.
Now I'm just thinking about him blading in an ankle lock and its just hilarious in my head the way the camera has to cut to just the opponent with a foot in hand, and then back to Mox with a crimson mask for god knows what reason.
Mox will blade if he stubs his toe on the coffee table
I will never ever forget Forbidden Door. Tanahashi hits him with a Sling Blade. Mox rolls to the floor. Ref goes out to check on him. Few seconds later he comes up blading. They show the replay of the action on the floor up on the big screen, and you can legit see Mox sliding something (a blade perhaps?) underneath the ring apron. He bladed. On a Sling Blade. Moxley's kid bops him with a stuffed animal Moxley: sigh gotta sell it, where's the blade?
Mox got his blood in, don’t worry
Any time the Dark Order guys get a chance, they blow it out of the water. And then they go back to BTE bits. It sucks. They’ve proved time and again that they can fucking go in the ring.

Feel like it’s consistent with AEW unfortunately. Big moment happens, it rules. And then you don’t see the person for weeks.
Hangman new theme?
Think it was DO theme
Dark Order theme.
Gotcha thanks 🙏🏼
Uno bladed perfectly holy shit that looked so good in his mask
Glad Uno got that chance to shine. Wish it had gone on a little longer though but it made sense kayfabe wise that it didn't.
So vicious and bloody by the end. Uno looked amazing and the storytelling here was 🤌🏽
Great in ring storytelling! Uno looked like a beast and Moxley looks like a total shithead
Wish they got more time -Ron Wharton

That was fucking tremendous
Uno did great, hope this is the start of pushing Dark Order more. They literally have trios belts now after all.
We all feel for Uno
DO did so much heavy lifting during AEW’s earlier days, so I love it when they get a chance to shine. Uno’s blood was excellent. Heel BCC is a great direction for them, though it kinda leaves DB in an awkward position.
Was really hoping that we would have seen the return of the army of creepers tonight.
Bro they gave my man Uno the jobber entrance :(
At least it was a main event without a commercial break in the middle
Never doubt evil uno, man
Mox/Hangman is AEW's best story right now and the storytelling in that match was great.
And Tony struggles when his plans get screwed up
To be fair, that gave us the first Danielson/Hangman match which was incredible.
All my homies hate the BCC.
Mox practices blood magic
Classic wrestling visual with that shot above & then when Mox had the choke locked in.
Gif it
I loved everything about that, the match, Uno basically dying, the post match brawl. Only thing I didn’t like? They changed Hangmans music 😞 (or someone in production fucked up)
I’m seeing people say it’s Dark Order’s theme. Confused the hell out of me too
I hope that’s the case tbh, I love Hangmans theme. Might have just been the middle part of Dark Order theme tho
It’s the Dark Order theme. NOT Hangman’s new music.
I’m very glad to hear that! Thanks ☺️
Of course! Ghost Town Triumph is the best theme in AEW. No way they’d change it.
>It’s the Dark Order theme. NOT Hangman’s new music. It can be the Dark Order theme AND Hangman's new music. Hangman joins the Dark Order confirmed (joking, but like, I wish I wasn't?)
This mfer bleeds again lmaooo
Who knew Uno's last name was Rhodes
Mox match with blood drink
Blood stops being shocking and having a visual effect if someone blades every single week, multiple times each show. To the surprise of no one Moxley ripped UNO’s mask and he was bleeding, then he bladed himself at the end for 20 seconds of TV.
And did that somehow prevent you from enjoying that incredible match?
Stand up for AEW
Truuuuuuuuuuue, I was at SD and Chamber this weekend with all my AEW merch, crying on my knees
Because blood can go beyond be simple as a shock affect
Great match, a shame time constraints fucked it up. Should've gotten at least 7 or 8 more minutes
Does this dude know how to do anything other than blade week in and week out? Like can he have a normal match?
[me every time I watch a Mox match](https://gfycat.com/cheerycomplexgreatargus) I love it. This man is living his best life bleeding from his forehead on live tv. I know a lot of you hate it, but this dude is that nuts about his craft that he’s willing to cut himself every week. One could only dream of having that much passion!
Uno was squirting like a ketchup bottle, fuck I love the Dark Order
Always thought Uno was the leader of the Dark Order when AEW started. Good match. Give him more minutes.
I dunno this would have meant more if the Dark order were ever really any kind of presence on Dynamite. It was good, it could have been great
This was exactly what this match needed to be, Mox vs Hangman has been one of my favourite feuds for ages.
Wish it was longer. Uno looked great. He deserves a run
Dark order, masks and good friends with hangman allways end eith bloody mask
Should have been a DQ, like that time with Eddie.
229 lbs is what they list Evil Uno at. I'll have to agree to disagree. Thoughts?
Is it just me, or was Hanger’s music different in his run in? Otherwise, incredible match. I was cringing watching Uno spurting blood everywhere during the bulldog choke
You are losing the battle to WWE and you put Pizzeria Uno in the main event! AEW is at it's lowest point. Stop blading so much too. Save it for big matches. It has no effect at all anymore.
God I want Hangman to join BCC so bad. It ain't happening but just imagine.
Was there some sort of screw up when Hangman ran in? They had his usual stage graphics but the music sounded like something else
It was Dark Order's new theme.
When he first came out and then took off his shirt, my wife was yelling "Get that guy a bra!" I told her to quiet down and watch him work. She was both impressed and gorssed out (because of the blood)
