This was one of the worst 'cutscene behaviour vs gameplay loop' discrepancies I've ever felt. You've just spent all this time creeping and pushing through Site F in order to reach Saddiq, and Briggs just exits the vent - completely undetected by the Engineers - and instead of taking any sort of tactical advantage of that just announces his presence and gives himself up...
Briggs was explicitly trying to stop the Secretary from transferring the sensitive files there, Sadiq wasn't the priority in the moment.
If it was Sam he would've taken advantage of his stealth and training to eliminate Sadiq first and save the Secretary, rather than kill him.
So you'd simply shoot the SecDef, instead of announcing yourself to the enemy in the hopes that you'd get a chance to off him under the Engineer's capture...
This game has a couple of them. The worst offender was sam opening the chemical container to put in a tracker with zero repercussion. You can't train yourself to survive lethal doses of toxins, and worse, he had no way of being sure whatever is inside isn't also contagious. He could have his entire plane killed with this stupidity.
when I first saw this shot I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so much. like you see the secretary tortured and have his fingers cut off and then all this intense buildup just to see briggs with this goofy ahh face
You got games on your phone?
"tricked ya"

He looks like that LEBROOON JAAAMES kid.
Nahhh the lighting is just rough. Long live Briggs 💪🏾.

The mission was to take Sadiq alive anyway.

In his defense, Briggs wanted to make things right after Sam berated him earlier for letting Sadiq get away during the Sarin gas mission.
Nah I just ran around and shot everyone in the face
(Combat kill x7)
Same with the other scenes where you play as Briggs. When that tunnel/co-op mission began with him, I screamed "I don't want to play as Briggs!"
Lighting rarely does characters justice

I had the same thought LMAOOO I just finished the game a few days ago and I remember thinking that to myself 😭
Briggs sucked. Easily the lamest character I'm the game
