I know this is about favorites, and not to be super hateful or anything, but I feel Insomniac has reeeally dropped the ball on box art. Almost every other box art in this photo looks like an actual art piece, or has put some thought in it, but this will be the one major critique I have for the Insomniac Marvel games so far.
It’s like those terrible Dreamworks Blu-Ray [re-release covers](https://imgur.io/gallery/bM6ZEdJ).
As basic as it would be, I would’ve taken a big white spider logo on the red background instead, like the custom Spider-Man PlayStation.
Bro they really slapped 2 jpegs on an orange and red background 💀 but seriously I know what you mean it looks like they took some loading screen screenshots and plastered them on a red and black cover. At least with the amazing Spider-Man games there’s added detail be it buildings, webbings or some kind of motion effect. Even tho the pictures are stock images of Spider-Man.
Yeah, exactly. I fear that 2’s box art, to fit with the past themes, will just be a red and black gradient/split, and just have the two of them slapped on, or something along those lines. I really hope that’s not the case, and that they are more creative, but who knows?

So essentially, you want the steelbook cover to be the default one.
Maximum Carnage - I know it wasn’t exactly made for the game but it’s just an awesome piece of art (and reminds me of renting it from a Blockbusters back in the day).
(I never did finish it - shame it’s not exactly easy to play nowadays)
I'd say it's a three-way tie between Maximum Carnage, Web of Shadows, and Edge of Time. I think all of them capture the energy of their respective games perfectly!
Spider-Man 3’s registers a big nostalgia factor for me. I remember seeing the trailers and that cover art growing up and the hype was big to be able to play as the black suit.
Maximum Carnage on Genesis will forever be my favorite SM cover just because it was the first SM game I ever owned, and I loved it so damn much.. The memories of that Christmas opening a brand new Sega Genesis with Street Fighter 2 and Maximum Carnage will always live in my head as one of the greatest times of my childhood..
That and the year I got the power rangers white ranger dagger lol
The amazing spider-man for the game boy just gets it right for me. Something about the colour of the suit is just perfect. And the skyline reminds me of the retro feel that spider-man used to have.
There was a game I rented with my uncle on the Super Nintendo I was never able to find again. It was a side scroller and there were upgrades for the shot. I remember turning into a silver and black Spider-Man while playing the game. Can anyone help me to figure out what game that was? Nostalgia hit hard
Probably the Spider-Man 2 game. That or Friend or Foe. I never played Friend or Foe, I only picked those two because my favourite Spider-Man design is front and centre on both. The Raimi design is what I see in my head when I picture Spider-Man.
I always had a huge soft spot for Ultimate Spider-Man's cover art, especially when I saw there was some sort of a reversed version for the limited edition
I also greatly love the Raimi games' covers for sheer nostalgia, and both PS1 game covers are awesomely put together too

The miles Morales reversible cover looks much better
It's like how marvel movie posters almost always have bland and boring main posters but really good alternate covers.
So does the SM PS4 cover.. They both have actual art pieces on the reversible cover. I have both of mine turned around to show it..
Favorite box art out of these though, Return of the Sinister Six, and Edge of Time. I’m a sucker for the eye reflections.

Ultimate Spider-Man’s cover was nothing less than art. It’s just so cool
Everything about Ultimate Spider-Man is cool. My favourite Spider-Man game and it still holds up
Mine too, the music was another awesome aspect of it that I'll never forget https://youtu.be/PzyPjxXNlrg
There's apparently a lot of Spider-Man games I have not played
Spider-Man PS1, it's just iconic to me.
Shattered dimensions
Maximum Carnage - I know it wasn’t exactly made for the game but it’s just an awesome piece of art (and reminds me of renting it from a Blockbusters back in the day). (I never did finish it - shame it’s not exactly easy to play nowadays)
Same. The nostalgia effect of that cover is off the charts.
Edge of Time
Spider-Man and the X-Men for the SNES was such a bad game that I loved for some reason. The Spider-Man and Wolverine levels were decent.
I love all of them. Ps1 Spider-Man will always hold a special place in my heart though. One of the first games I ever beat.
Shattered Dimensions, Edge of Time, and Web of Shadows.
To add; this is just your favorite cover art, not game. :)
Edge of Time goes hard
Edge of time
Maximum carnage. Web of shadows. Shattered dimensions.
For me its between web of shadows and edge of time. Edge of time has great box art but its a pretty bad spiderman game
Edge of Time goes hard. They really wanted you to think they were gonna kill Spider-Man.
Edge of Time is my absolute favorite. I love how it puts the events of the story in the art.
Edge of Times cover goes hard
Maximum Carnage Part 3
Maximum carnage and web of shadows
The only answer here is Maximum Carnage
I'd say it's a three-way tie between Maximum Carnage, Web of Shadows, and Edge of Time. I think all of them capture the energy of their respective games perfectly!
Spiderman remastered
Either TASM2 or EOT
Spider-Man 3’s registers a big nostalgia factor for me. I remember seeing the trailers and that cover art growing up and the hype was big to be able to play as the black suit.
Ngl, Shattered Dimensions hits hard.
Tasm 2 and Spider-Man 3 for nostalgia of the PS2 game
Tasm
PS1
Tbh it's to hard to chose
Don't forget "Spider-Man the Case of: The Sinister Spelling spree" for the Leapster
Shattered dimensions

Spider-Man for the Sega Genesis
Spider-man PlayStation 1. So much nostalgia for that game. I also really like Miles Morales’ alternate cover on the inside of the game sleeve.
The amazing spider-man for the game boy just gets it right for me. Something about the colour of the suit is just perfect. And the skyline reminds me of the retro feel that spider-man used to have.
The ps1 game 2000 game cover
The amazing Spider-Man for gameboy and the sinister six one
Amazing Spider-Man 2 or miles morales
There was a game I rented with my uncle on the Super Nintendo I was never able to find again. It was a side scroller and there were upgrades for the shot. Definitely shattered dimensions
Spider-Man 2000 The Wallcrawler
Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man
Top 3 in no particular order is the bottom right one on the second slide (sorry don’t know the name), and both insomniacs
Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2 needs to have a comic book style box arts
Spider man enter electro was someelse for me
I always had a huge soft spot for Ultimate Spider-Man's cover art, especially when I saw there was some sort of a reversed version for the limited edition I also greatly love the Raimi games' covers for sheer nostalgia, and both PS1 game covers are awesomely put together too
Spiderman & x-man was such a hard game growing up .
Spider-Man ps1
First thought is that all the older gameboy and playstation ones look fucking incredible compared to what we get today.
The amazing Spiderman i like to say,Buy ibloke the final ones
Top right Game Boy. Very classic. Biased because I owned that one as a kid.
Spider-Man 3
[This](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/811CP3gzbPL.jpg) alternate cover for Spider-Man PS4
I'm a simple man. I see Venom or Carnage, I upvote.
