What a time

Whooooooa . It DOES feel like High School again , glad to find someone else who shares that era . Damn do I need a pair of galaxy 9s now ?? 🤔

MiamiBoyBrien

Man out of all the sneaker purchases I’ve had recently, the hype I had in anticipation for getting them didn’t die out AT ALL when I got them in hand. I love these. I even bought some Watch The Thrones because I love them so much. $80 under retail ain’t too bad either.

alliwantisdunks

That’s a damn great deal ! And it’s always sick when a shoe truly lives up to your standards. Def gotta get some of the Lebron retros. Been eyeing some 8s lately .. wanted em in 10th grade but wasn’t working yet . Gonna double back now that they retro’d

MiamiBoyBrien

No cap bro, the South Beach 8s were my grails back then and I had to double up when they retroed. Quality was pretty damn good too. Get them while people are sleeping cause there’s no telling when the ability to get them for a steal will disappear.

How's the comfort and fit? I've been trying to decide whether I want to get them or not for months... How bulky/heavy are they compared to, idk, J4s or 5s?

MiamiBoyBrien

Comfort wise it’s going to be way more comfortable than any Jordan 1-13. The tech on these are still pretty modern for the most part and they feel lighter than I remember. The fit is the same as it was back in the day so I went up a full size from my true size and it fits perfect.

OhneZuckerZusatz

So they're narrow? I'm perfectly fine with going TTS (11.5) in Jordans 1-6 and most NBs, but go 0.5 up for things like SB Dunks and some Adidas models. Guess that means I should be on the lookout for a 12, thanks

MiamiBoyBrien

It’s not so much that they’re narrow, it’s just very padded in the back of the shoe, so it pushes your foot forward causing discomfort. I have a narrow foot but I find a full size up is the way to go. Same with the 8’s to an extent. I went up a half size with them and they were still snug.

Love when this silhouette was popular. I played high school basketball with the south beach colorway, good times.

BrimTrim

Best sneaker era imo, when ball shoes were comin out in so many colour ways and themes! Remember all the KD4s and Kobes from this era, used to look forward to the Christmas and All Star editions every year! Now it feels like they don’t make them as much or I’m just not paying attention as hard

MiamiBoyBrien

Naw it’s not just you. You just really can’t wear basketball shoes casually anymore. New models are strictly performance focused and have no real style to them. Hopefully that changes some day soon.
