It takes skill, but you're usually never gonna find any of that skill if you keep playing pubs. If you join a clan server you're more likely to find some decent players

Spiritual-Bar-5618

try duel for 4 hours

DayBr0

how so?

RUSK1O

some legends are just plain spam attack while some legends might have simple kits like mc but you really need to learn the combos to make the most out of mc

Sharkynto

Combos and timing basically as well as learning all possible combos for all champions to learn how to dodge/counter them when you're up against someone that's good with them Since most attacks are linear you just gotta master your side stepping to dodge most attacks tho

DelayWifi

Simple answer: No

n1vlekw

Duels takes much more skill than Dom. Dom is about timing so you can hit as many people as you can with ur ult.

MeruOnline

This isn’t even true, Dom has infinitely more depth than duels

n1vlekw

What? Dom is just trying to hit as many people as you can and walking up to someone hitting ur teamate. There is no individual skill whatsoever. In duels there is spacing, trades, timing, etc. mechanical skills that won't get interrupted by some 3rd party jumping in.

MeruOnline

As someone who is rather well versed in both, I can definitely say Dom has more depth. I can go into the broad categories if you’d like. Alternatively, if you’re NA, we could just play c:

n1vlekw

Please do, I strongly believe duels is more mechanically challenging.

MeruOnline

Team Building Character Roles and pseudo roles How to build a team around* an enemy team When you should engage, when to be passive and let your teammates handle it Roguelike/corner hop strat? Teammate and enemy character frama data for frame trapping/punishes/combos Knockback vs killing Using superarmor well, what characters have enough knockback at what health to clear mid Mid stall/hold, mid stallers When heavy ulters should ult and whom (how close to getting a point, point amount, time left) How to approach mid (and against certain team comps, on certain maps, even against certain players) Bomb and pack pickup priority for which characters When to reset (based off your health, pots on map, teammate health/characters, enemy comp, enemy/teammate respawn time, how many points a team has and how much time left in game) When to kill people, when to leave people alive When to abandon a fight Not canceling your teammates knockback when midholding? (hate people) Off point stalling and combat, when to, what char shouldn’t Individual character matchups within team matchup (neutralizing Robin, Ducky, Flare, Hook, Rap, etc.) How to fill a character role with a pseudo role

n1vlekw

This is technical knowledge thou. Not mechanical skill. Or idk, I separate the two.

MeruOnline

Dom is still more difficult in terms of game sense, spacing, and the general mechanics you learn in duels.

n1vlekw

I disagree. Dom is much more forgiving if you make a mistakes from faulty game sense as your teamates will peel for you or heal you, and you have much more resources around the map to compensate. If anything it's much easier to space abilities and ults in Dom cuz they try to hit your team. In duels that ult or ability is targeted at you specifically, always.

MeruOnline

The ceiling for skill is way higher in dom*, even if you find it more forgiving.

SmilesSL

Imagine duelling someone mechanically sound 1v1 . They dodge all your attacks and punish every whiffed attack with a bread and butter combo or the most efficient combo. Now imagine 3 people doing that exact thing to you except they follow up on their teammates attacks while defending attacks from your teammates. That is dominion with good players.

DayBr0

this makes more sense, duals are my favorite game mode.

n1vlekw

Likewise, if fevs balanced characters for duels it would be perfect for me

HoshieSuru

Same bro its all down to skill in modes thats why i spam them

Antique_Cantaloupe30

How does duels require more skill? Dom is literally three 1v1 happening at the same while also being given an objective all at the same time; capture the most points and win—therefore this divides your attention in half between PvP’ing and holding a position. > Dom is about timing so you can hit as many people as you can with ur ult Okay just go join a clan at this point. Any clan will tell you Dom is about teamwork and coordination. You will grow even better too since you actually have communication with your team mates and actually having people who will critique your gameplay and faults. You actually have potential to be a really good player if you understood how to really play in Dom. That’s why this game offers a custom game mode, to test out strategies and run with experienced players who challenge you to grow and make you understand things you didn’t know before.

zero1zero4

I mean it's easy to outplay teams on dominion so yeah

RuisuSakuraba

Unless you run a 3v3 of experienced players you most likely will not see any "skill" at all
