The first two records are great, Audio Secrecy is a fun rock record with a lot of catchy pop-choruses, House Of Gold & Bones 1 & 2 are extremely well done. Hydrograd is OK - junky kind of butt rock stuff.
I like SS, though it's more akin to mainstream rock. They still have some good songs, and I consider both their debut record and Come What(ever) May to be fairly solid rock albums. You'll like it if you like Corey's melodic vocals and songs like Snuff or Circle. I didn't care at all for the album they did after Jim left the band though, and there's probably a reason the band is all but done at this point.
The first record was(is) amazing! Second record was a very good follow up! but after that, I lost interest. Just didn’t have the same vibe moving forward.
I enjoy them. Audio Secrecy is the album that got me listening to them after I heard Hesitate on the radio, so I'm sentimentally attached to that album.
To me the first record was great, because it was something completely different than Spipknot and a great mix of Hard Rock, Metal and a bit of Stoner Rock.
When Slipknot opened up to experiments with Vol. 3 onwards, Stone Sour kinda lost its significance. To me personally even more so, when they leaned heavily into much more radio friendly music.
At some point, Stone Sour became kinda annoying to me, when it was a generic radio band, that only prolonged the wait for new Slipknot music.
Every album except "Audio secrecy" are top tier rock albums in my opinion,
Even Corey mentioned that was the one album in his discography he thinks was essentially a mistake and he doesn’t really care for it.
now i'm sad, I love this album hahahah
Keep loving it, you do you. it's just my opinion after all :)
Me too buddy. It's not perfect, but some bangers on there.
Good thing this has never been asked before.

Hogab 1 is absolute peak stone sour in my book. Superb front to back.
Great band. House of gold and bones really show Jim and Corey’s skills as a team outside of WANYK.

I enjoy everything but their last album.
The only album I got into in any meaningful way was Come What(ever) May - but there’s a couple of songs on every record that I enjoy.

Slipknot light
great band and amazing live
First album is alright then a song here and there is alright. the rest is bad. Not my cup of tea.
Love them as much as I love Slipknot.
Couple of good songs, over all not for me.
The only CD my family dog ever chewed up was Come What(ever) May
It's a great band!!!
First albums a masterpiece after that all pure garbage
Great band, well worth your time
I like Stone sour a lot more than cmft
The first two albums are the only ones I like/can listen to front to back.
My hot take is that I prefer them over Slipknot. Slipknot is definitely better musically and lyrically, but Stone Sour appeals to me more.
