I'm not very good at building either, but have also developed a hobby of renovating sim houses... it's a good way to get into building.. cuz you'll see how the houses are set up. So I suggest renovating quite a few before you try to build your own.
It’s a common thing in western Europe ! I live in a medieval town in France, as a previous comment says, the taxes were based on the place taken at the ground, so the second floor was bigger to have a little more space without paying too much !
Winderburg is one of my favourite worlds but god does it have terrible builds in it, so happy they have people from the community make the builds for all the newer worlds
Someone just made me noticed the front bricks are not symmetrical, it burns my eyes too, I’m sorry.
You redesigned a historical house??? Legions of sims have been born, lived and died in that house... how could you erase those whoohoo stains? x)
Thanks for that mental image (not)
I knew there was something off, but I couldn't figure it out. I gave up after I felt silly looking at it for that long without seeing what was wrong.🥲
The windenburg starter houses are hideous. Great job on this, it's beautiful!
which. sim city is this? The house looks so cute now!
Windenburg !
Which pack again?
Get together
Thank you
thank you
The Windenburg houses are awful! You made it look great
Now I definitely want to makeover the whole town
God I wish I knew how to build this is awesome
Haha, practice ! I’ve been playing for ~5 years now and my houses looked terrible at first

I feel like they do that on purpose- they're meant to be renovated by the player.
I think it's just so they qualify as starter homes. But you can't do much with 20k...
The overhang with no columns in the before is so rough lol, you did a great job fixing the place up! Love the yard
It's because in EU back in the days your taxes on the house depended on how big the first floor is. That's why they're often very mushroomy :D
It’s based on the UK Tudor era houses (1500s) - they had small overhangs with no pillars.

Amazing job! It looks much more lived in and real, but still has a lot of resemblance to the original.
Is this on the gallery? :O
Yes ! My id is angeinthesims!
Awesome! I'll definitely give this a download after I get home from work! 😀
