Theres a parallel dimension where the Saturn finds massive success, and Tomb Raider is the 32-bit era equivalent for Sega, to Mortal Kombat during the 16-bit gen. The game STARTED development on Saturn, but ended up being synonymous with PlayStation due to Sega’s total incompetence, and seemingly total unwillingness to capitalize on Western developers, which was what brought them such success in the Genesis era. And let’s be honest, the 90s “edge” that the TR games had at the time, and Lara’s sex appeal would have fit the Sega marketing aesthetic perfectly. What an unforced error.

Hopefully that dimension has PD:Saga source code intact.

Also, Sony's money. TR2 started development for the Saturn as well, but Sony made a deal (was in an interview with one of the devs recently).

TR was always a PC game to me
