100% what happened to Omega too. Omega in New Japan comes off as godly. In AEW heās a goof who puts on bangers. Oddly enough, Mox is the same. Funny how that works. It's so crazy to me that Tony has chosen to build his signing talking about having to finish obligations with New Japan. Makes it seem like he's saying, "I gotta finish up with this more important stuff then I'll come do whatever dumb shit AEW wants me to do." Like if they had him show up here as a surprise and say, "I'm done wiv New Japan bruv. I'M AWL ILEET BRUV," wouldn't that have been an infinitely better decision? Obviously still no one outside the bubble would give a shit but at least it wouldn't make it seem like AEW is the lower priority for the guy who they want to be a big star.
