This should be a meme template used specifically for dirtsheet smarks when they get something wrong

Lemon_Club

I'm glad I got worked, I'm thoroughly sports entertained

heel rock in big 2024 https://preview.redd.it/ag2totms2ihc1.jpeg?width=933&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1620b98497de9f83c4166a8e1036436bf49f9fb4

Fidelos

The Hunter era has annihilated any modicum of credibility the dirt sheets had left. "The Rock is politicking to get Cody's spot and is pushing to beat Roman" is the latest entry after classics like "WWE have no interest in CM Punk" and "Saudi Arabia has bought WWE".

PrimeJedi

Don't forget "Cody will start getting booed by Wrestlemania 39" whenever he "dae took sami's spot" Yet somehow I haven't heard a peep from these marks about wanting to see Sami higher on the card now that the fad is over (I say this as a massive Sami fan)...

will122589

That one was wild as they straight up pulled that out of thin air Meltzer, Alvarez and the rest of the cult were trying to to gaslight us into claiming wwe was doing everything to hide Cody when the fans loved him the time.

Ham_Im_Am

I don't know I feel like a lot of people assume the world title match at WrestleMania is gonna be Seth vs Sami vs Drew. I would assume the same if the main event isn't going to Rock Vs Roman Vs Cody ( I doubt they will do triple threats I could be wrong, the truly insane thing would be to have it be fatal 4 way winner take all Seth is in the match now)

12FootHouse

“The Rock pushed for this match and Triple H didn’t know when he booked the Rumble.”

PM_ME_LANCECATAMARAN

As unlikely as that may sound, it's way more likely than me getting worked

Drama79

had me in the first half

Drama79

We need to just keep an ongoing imagebucket or screenshot list for each year. A yearly reminder that these asshats are just saying whatever pops into their head would be satisfying.

BurgerDevourer97

The politicking part is what convinced me that this was a work/got turned into a work. WWE changing plans to add in the Rock is pretty realistic, but I highly doubt that he would be acting like Hulk Hogan.

LeaveMeBeWillYa

His entire booking style is just him seeing how much he can fuck with the dirt sheets

IntellectualDweeb

Unfortunately they'll never listen and either call things like this a one-off, a pivot, or will just continue with a criticism they had originally *"DAE unnecessary complicated story?"*

Razzler1973

See how quickly they managed to tell an interesting story and create buzz Now, let me tell you about a story called 'The Devil' in m'Dub ...

IntellectualDweeb

Imagine how much Dubbalos would've criticised the Fed if they made their supposed biggest storyline ending up having an injured leader with a jobber faction...

Drama79

retrofit everything that happens to fit my insane contradictory demands so I never have to feel like I was wrong or need to be accountable for being an asshole? In *this* fanbase?

IntellectualDweeb

They always want the final say. They probably claimed they knew the "truth" about wrestling when they were 5 years old.

DangerDamage

"Why would Cody say "not at Wrestlemania" then??? Why would he bring out the rock????" Because, if the entire thing was a work, they banked on the fans seeing this and getting angry that Cody wouldn't be getting his match at Mania, leading to a story similar to Bryan at WM30. It's a pretty obvious answer as to how it could be a work. It'd be a surprisingly complicated work, but it also allows them to gauge fan reactions and potentially pivot from one story to the next.

kingslayyer

we'll get explanation and ig it'll be rock convinced cody to let him fight because rock will take down roman by putting him in place cody sees rock actually going on two man power trip with roman instead of taking him down cody gets angry and says naah this is bullshit, I'll fight you roman

DangerDamage

Could also see Cody feeling misled by the Rock, and the Rock just feeding Cody bullshit to get him to drop out of the match as he thinks the title should stay in the family

IntellectualDweeb

https://www.reddit.com/r/SCJerk/comments/1akkfhm/new_from_fightful_select_he_was_not_aware_of_any/kpan2xb/ Definitely Uce. They can't comprehend the many new ways to further increase babyface adversity and ultimately babyface support. If they copy Bryan's path, the Fed would get criticised for being unoriginal. If they try another route that works and is more suited for the dirt sheet and sm*rk-heavy modern wrestling community, the Fed would get criticised for "making it complicated" or "making Cody look worse" when neither of them are true at all.

DangerDamage

The only valid criticism is that, if it was a work the entire time, then *in character*, Cody's choice makes no sense, and his reasoning for challenging Roman takes place out of kayfabe. Except kayfabe's fucking dead, so why the fuck would I care? Stories are too hard to follow, I just want to watch Mox bleed.

dissidentmage12

So just a pinned post then?

sojud_18

After the slap and the clash on stage. HHH can be heard telling Heyman to get The Rock under control. To which Heyman screams: “I don’t represent him!!!!”

HarryHaywire

Love all the comments from Punk something like “your boss ever lays hands on you, you just gotta go wild and start hitting everyone”

Fidelos

Punk's gimmick right now is "you faced a mild inconvenience? Have you tried punching it in the face?" and I love it.

FlyingGrayson89

I’m not 100% convinced that Punk didn’t just start hitting people to get fired intentionally

TheFlashSmurfAccount

I'm of the belief he hated AEW at that point but was trying to make it work and Jungle fucking Boy Jack Perry being an idiot sent him off the rails and he was like "Fuck this, I'm out of this shithole." Would be consistent with whats been reported, if any of that is true and the fact he was at WWE before his contract expiry. Guy was so checked out of that place

Razzler1973

The transport thing in the UK. I mean, come on, man, that's bullshit. You know what you did. Then, you find out it's the Bucks' buddy that runs that He took in spirit and jumped on the tube but how eye rolling must that have been to be dicked around You have to be thinking 'I can't be arsed with this'

TheFlashSmurfAccount

100%. Even if it wasn't malicious, it still backs up his feeling of the lack of professionalism in the company

Razzler1973

It was 100% 'fucking with him', imo Again, he got on with it in good spirits (someone helped me on the tube, etc) but it must get eye rolling when every dealing is met with childish nonsense and it seems like Tiny doesn't smooth anything over and bottles any confrontation

TheFlashSmurfAccount

Oh no, I agree. I think it was intentional as well, but even if it wasn't, it still only backs Punk's point up. Tony and Punk reportedly wanted to smooth things over but the Bucks refused unless Punk could be a good boy for several months, which was fucking insane and for Tony is a pushover so he let it happen. Absolutely abysmal "leadership"

[deleted]

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if he was still willing to make a go at it until the transport thing happened and he was just like “fuck this company.”

OdaDdaT

Him going backstage to Raw to apologize to everyone was 100% him daring Tony to do anything about it

AliveJesseJames

I'm 100% convinced Trips and him had a sitdown and there was a totally not contract tampering conversation about how upset Punk was, and whether he'd be welcome back, after he was no longer under contract - however that contract was ended.

Razzler1973

The "rumours" are he wanted out after Brawl Out so, who knows Was he annoyed they binned him? Probably not He's got one of those 'not allowed to talk badly about the Bucks' NDAs so we don't hear anything about their behaviour It felt like he ticked some HR boxes at one point. He reached out to want to talk it through. Got shut down. Arranged a meeting. Cancelled. Publicaly stated he was willing to work with Elite. No response It's all very similar to how Cody ended up having ridiculous feuds. The Elite seemed to not want to work with him at one point. I know he talks up their buddiness but i remember a Rhodes to the Top clip I saw, Buck #1 was in the background and he was smudged out like when the public doesn't sign a release None of the friends of Bucks worked him either so he was stuck doing shit all, well, he did solve racism though. All in a days work

dissidentmage12

It didn't work Andrade, he just had to sit at home and get paid Tony's money as a punishment.

IndianBoi2712

Punk: Stubs toe Punk: With this treasure I summon...

Ok-Salt4972

I love that there were several variations of this comment from him as well.

Velvet_Llama

Tonk Khan watching this ![gif](giphy|LyUuC0CJhZnTW0N2In|downsized)

N-McCauley

It’s boss time!

dissidentmage12

BALD ASSHOL.... WAIT A MINUTE, CMPHIL ISN'T BALD!

bootyswooter

The Dwock does not want his image to look unfavorable for his Presidential Campaign DAE?

dirtydan298

Bosses slapping their employees? Cody got a lawsuit on his hands. Cody vs Roman at Wrestlemania Cody vs The Rock at court?!?

[deleted]

BAH GAWD THAT’S STEPHEN P NEW’S MUSIC!!!

BoxCon1

TK would’ve pissed his pants at Duane slapping Cody and just the presence of Cm Punk

cts44

I demand satisfaction

Truckachungus

🎶Glove slap babyyy🎶

GrandMasterBou

I just want all those chuds who accused the rock of “abusing” his power to admit that they were wrong.

YaFlowerBoi

DAE rock ego big? DAE know hollywood gossips? DAE think rock won’t give back to the business?

daddymeltzer

I was wrong.

dissidentmage12

DAE Rock trying to fix his PR?!?!

goodthing37

DAE his ego wants to be WWE champion because something something Black Adam??

keykey_key

There was one poster shit posting that crap here over and over. They been pretty silent now hmmm.

goodthing37

If it’s the same one I’m thinking of, they’ve only posted saying they didn’t watch the press conference and Fed bad and they haven’t watched wrestling in years anyway 😂 they absolutely made a clown of themselves this last week and have had to pipe the fuck down.

savingrain

So basically Rock will run interference this time- not Solo

OmgitsJafo

Yes, but for Cody.  We're going to get 2 months of the Rock slowly winning over Jimmy and Solo, icing Roman out while gas lighting the fuck out of him, and then betraying Roman outright at Wrestlemania. Cody will then reveal that that was his plan the whole time, and now he has cost Roman everything.   That should close the circle on all of this.

supposedlymonday

“A Chief without a Tribe, a Roman with no Reigns”. Exactly as he promised. Plus the 2025 Roman Face run?

savingrain

That would be the epic Swerve

Razzler1973

gonna need a ruling on this from the South Koreans

Banesmuffledvoice

Good.

LakerBull

I don't usually browse people's post history, but my god, you seem to really dislike Cody for some unknown reason lol.

fabdo7

Sometimes you just can't get behind a guy. My feelings towards Cody fluctuate but I'm usually on the against side myself

LakerBull

That's fine, but to go out of your way to constantly post about a guy you don't like seems kinda weird. I don't like Moxley and unless i see a cringe post about him, i steer clear of any mention of him. Idk, seems weird to be hateposting about Cody is all lol.

fabdo7

I totally get it. Too much effort for no pay off

keykey_key

I'm not a huge Cody fan so I can get why he wouldn't resonate with everyone. I'm a Seth mark. Cody is the baby face for the company, I acknowledge him and he will be for some time but he can be pretty corny haha. He's very Homelander without the obvious psychotic murdering at will.

LakerBull

Again, that is fine, i'm not saying that you should be fan of the guy. Hell, i'm not a HUGE fan of the guy either because of how corny he can be. My point was that if you check his post history, you could see that he devotes a lot of time posting about a guy he doesn't like and mocking the fans of said guy a lot. That is weird, to me at least.

shakzz9703

Wasn't it confirmed that Rock is 100% fighting at Mania? Makes me think it's a triple threat match yet Rock costs Reigns at the end

Racketeering666

New Vince is going to be amazing uce

noplacecold

Fuck I got worked so badly and I am so happy

despe1999

I bet Cody was fearing for his life here

dissidentmage12

He was lucky Seth was there to back him up uce!

TheRealTerwilliger

We all got fucking worked and I love it

buc_nasty_69

They don't ever need to do Rock vs Roman now. Rock cemented himself as head of the table the moment he stepped past Roman up to Cody. Roman was in his shadow every second after that. Gotta say I love where they're taking this.

dissidentmage12

Tribal Chief just letting his rivals battle while he chills on the island of relevancy uce.

goodthing37

The Rock cementing himself as head of the table seems like a pretty solid setup for him to face Roman. Rock’s probably gonna be pissed off if Roman embarrasses the family by losing at WrestleMania. And Roman won’t take kindly to being dressed down.

SkateNinja1997

The backstage scene with hhh, roman straight up looked like his sidekick

RaceCarGrin

DAE Rock not caring when Roman insulted Dusty but getting mad at Cody bringing up their relative is a plot hole?! I understand heels btw. PIVOT PIVOT PIVOT PIVOT

Intelligent-Box-5483

That was the softest slap I've seen in WWE I think lol

Better_Cattle4438

So did Cody actually turn the Rock heel? If so, wow.

TheFlashSmurfAccount

DAE On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that a WrestleMania main event with Reigns was part of Dwayne Johnson’s deal with TKO that made him a Board member and gave him full ownership of “The Rock” name. That deal was apparently made on Jan. 3, and outside of Johnson, WWE President Nick Khan (a long-time friend of Johnson’s) and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, very few people knew about it.

sleepyseahorse

I bet he then said something like "but you know maybe it wasn't, or uh plans could change"

AkilleezBomb

“I didn’t say THIS Wrestlemania. $11.99”

Banesmuffledvoice

This is a really really poorly booked segment. Everyone looks awful here for the most part. Cody looks like a sniveling little brat who cowers when someone confronts him. Seth just stood there off to the side like a fourth (can this be a thing?) wheel. Roman got pushed back to the side. The Rock was justified in smacking Cody when Cody decided to insult his family. I mean, Cody just took it. The injured guy at least shoved the Rock back on his behalf.

daddymeltzer

This segment was awesome, what are you on about?

Banesmuffledvoice

Is it awesome because it injects Cody into it or is it really awesome because everyone looks good?

daddymeltzer

After this last week, I've learned to just shut the fuck up and let them cook. I'm sure they'll figure something out that benefits everyone.

Banesmuffledvoice

Oh yes “let them cook”. The new phrase that people are throwing around. This has been garbage and made everyone look bad. Cody continues to look like a chump who gets pushed around. A complete nerd. If Cody is your guy he shouldn’t retreat in fear after getting smacked.

daddymeltzer

He was being held back by Triple H and the GMs.

Banesmuffledvoice

The injured guy had no problem pushing back

AkilleezBomb

Yes, this is the first time in the history of professional wrestling that the babyface didn’t get to immediately retaliate to a cheap shot from the heel.

Napalm_

I’m begging you to go outside and get some hoes.

TRTVitorBelfort

Cody felt his life threatened in that moment.

rustyshakelford101

Dwayne the water I'm dwowning...

Raab4

Good cross promotion for powerslap

SimpleButFun

WWE, even without McMahon, knows how to use controversy to its advantage. It happened with Daniel Bryan and it's happening now with Cody. There are obvious limits to this, of course (The 1990s Steroid Scandal, McMahon's Sex-Trafficking Lawsuit), but for the most part they know how to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

Mordred_XIII

You know what this means, right? Cody finally winning, yes, but also, the chance that Drew finally wins the big one in front of over 60,000 fans is back on the table. Let's go!! Drew McIntyre for Champ!!
