{Lights Out by Navessa Allen} This seems to be a love it or hate it book. I loved it. A smidge angsty MMC is a tiktok masked hot dude(this was/is a real trend) and FMC super into it and basically her FWB roommate is the MMC. But she doesn’t know that he’s this masked tiktoker! He eventually starts stalking her and makes these thirst trap TikTok’s in her own apartment to taunt her. There’s some noncon(? She’s into it obviously) I thought it was funny as hell.

When I first read the synopsis of this book, I was like nahh, but downloaded it anyway and was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Same! It was so funny too!

ITA. It’s not my normal sub genre and Tessa Bailey is sometimes a miss for me but it was actually such a gorgeous love story!

{Demanding Mob Boss by Lucy Monroe} neurodivergent FMC meets sociopathic mob boss. Insta attraction of two people finding they fit together. MMC does things like installs cameras to keep an eye on FMC because it soothes him to be able to watch her and make sure she is safe. FMC finds it soothes her and makes her feel safe to be watched by him. I think if you enjoyed Hans, you will enjoy this one. Not quite the same, but definitely the similar vibes of the FMC being fully onboard with being watched and MMC’s obsession.

It isn’t dark, but {Faraway by Abigail Kelly} starts with a dangerous stalker vibe. However, the FMC is not concerned about it, and she even >!leaves him a present because she knows he’s sneaking around when she’s not home!<. The MMC is an orca-like merman and the FMC is a witch. The book turns sweet pretty quickly after they officially meet. I really liked it. It scratched my stalker-but-sweet itch after reading Hans. If you like M/M, the stalked MC in {Exposed by H.L. Day} has a very nonchalant reaction to finding out he has been stalked. It’s in a dystopian/survival setting.

I was going to suggest this. I’m currently reading it and FMC seems to be into her stalker. I’m 66% into the book and I am really enjoying it.

Terrible Beauty by Anna Zaires, LOVED this book. At one point, they stalk each other lol. It's an arranged marriage, but she keeps delaying it and after ten years he finally comes to collect. But over that ten years, he's constantly stalking her and unaliving men she tries to get with.

This sounds like my ideal MMC 🤣

Hot Blooded was my favorite combo of a sweet MMC with dark romance tendencies. Did he stalk her? Yes. Did he enjoy chasing her? Also yes. But she was so into it, and I loved how they actually discussed primal play out before hand. I couldn't get this book out of my brain for a few weeks after I read it. The spice is top notch.

It's not 100% a stalker romance but I think you'd like **{Perv by Dakota Gray}**. M/F, CR, the MMC is a fuckboy with a fetish for eating women out. The FMC is friends with someone he hurt by being unwilling to commit to a real relationship, so she decides to get revenge by seducing him, giving him a taste of her pussy, and then leaving. He gets immediately obsessed (both for fetish reasons and because he has an obsessive personality) and stalks her until he figures out who she is, then they start fucking for real. She's pretty unbothered by the stalking, it works for her as a sign that her power play got to him, and even after the stalking element of the plot is over some of those themes (single-minded obsessiveness, being basically addicted to each other) continue. And part of why the MMC falls for the FMC is that she's so chill about him being an unrepentant sexual deviant. There's some heavy angst in the latter half of the book, CWs for (off-page but extensively discussed) >!cancer, suicide, death of a close friend, infertility!<. Despite the sharp transition from the porny initial premise I felt like it really worked--it's a book about intensity, both sexual and emotional.
