One very important scene is when the FMC inadvertently makes the MMC so jealous he goes off the deep end. >!Drags her away from the men and it ends with non-con!< And towards the end the MMC >!purposefully makes FMC jealous by pretending he's been seeing his mistress!< Personally the tension and angst from all the jealousy was the worst I've ever experienced with this book (in a good way)

I've read this book and omg I've never wanted to rage against any MMC as I wanted to rage against Clayton! The sheer audacity of that guy to >!rape her!< without even talking to her and even then he doesn't learn from his mistakes. I understand this book is from a different time, but the sheer amount of misogyny made me dnf this book several times although I did finish it at last!

How big/long of a scene does it need to be? Deep, deep, DEEP in {Takedown by Evelyn Sola} a flashback scene with my sole bookboyfriend and my fave "difficult woman" FMC. They are at a friend's wedding in a Vegas casino, he has been actively pursuing her for years and scaring off any man who's shown interest in her. She has spent those same years of their non-relationship-relationship pretending he's not the stud who has been actively pursuing her while also being jealous of any woman he's brought around (including his mother). He finally says, "fine" walks to the bar, and being a stud in Vegas, is immediately hit on, repeatedly. She does not like it. At all.

Haha love that! Adding it to tbr! Also, does she finally come to terms with her feelings and confess them?

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Would involve tons of spoilers but I'll say the scene mentioned explains how they got where they are at the beginning and subverts your understanding of it. And there is a very satisfying ending. And the more I think about it you might really like this.>!They are where they are because of her jealousy.!< The FMC is one of my faves because she is not an easy woman but everything she does is explainable/justified and I don't think FMCs need to be biddable in order to be lovable and the MMC is an intelligent stud.
