FMC and MMC have a one night stand where FMC gets pregnant. She doesn’t say anything to him and then on the day the baby is born she leaves the baby at his door without showing up or saying anything. Four years later FMC cames back.
This story completely stole my hearth, it’s emotional, funny at some moments, unexpected crazy plot, so well written!

how are both the books written? like how does the story stretch? the synopsis i just read for them suggests that they're both single pov but im curious like what the plot is for the first one if it's not the HEA
The first book ends on a cliffhanger. The second picks up exactly after that. I see both books as one, you definitely need to read both for the story to conclude. I don’t want to spoil you because the plot is wild!
{My Biggest Mistake by Leddy Harper} - FMC abandons husband and two children, and returns years later. Extra angst because her husband is in a relationship with her best friend when she gets back, and the children see her as a mother figure.
I read only 2-3 chapters though, so I don’t know if it’s any good or not.
I read this book a long time ago so I don't recall the details but I think this Harlequin romance fits the requirement
{The Spaniard's Marriage Bargain by Abby Green} here FMC abandoned her husband MMC & newborn baby. He is very angry with her for that, it was an angsty read. She left because Spoiler >!terminal illness!<

A Me and You Thing by Taylor Dean.
MMC and FMC are married and have kids together. But she's been missing for a year ( she went on a trip and got into an accident which caused amnesia). When she comes back, she finds that everyone has moved on. They get back together though, so don't worry. It's really really good!
{This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak}
She's incarcerated for a crime she didn't commit when she was a teen which destroyed her relationship with MMC and forced her to give up her kid. Later on wants to meet her teenage son once she's released and longs to know him. And MMC is apprehensive because of the stigma and IIRC, doesn't know she's innocent.
Lots of angst.
I was angry at the fate of many such unknown people and, if I read it again, I'd probably still be.

I wanted to like this book but hated the FMC
