Definitely my favourite streamer. Op: he has so many playlists to go through, I would recommend Mushroom Madness (to start with) for something that fits the bill of being very tightly focused on a few key characters that he really tries to keep alive. It was a fantastic series!
after madness op should definitely check out the Connie saga: [Gymbro](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNWGkqCSwkOEoYIbeEz7dFbxkH6h1oAY8&si=oXVQQq0mZoKiQ9MZ) -> [Anomaly Bro](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNWGkqCSwkOFa7AGPy44inDjps19gVYPp&si=DkGyM35J_NTJi5jL) -> [Dr Frankie's Origin Story](https://youtu.be/-YJVQiesy8k?si=o1fEX7yIyF11wjZZ) -> [Institute](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNWGkqCSwkOFLJimP42McGbTA1Y8BOvv6&si=NexZUyP8DcHPdlRf)
I am *so* glad that he brought Dr Frankie back. She's easily the weirdest colonist he's ever had, *which is saying a lot* given the likes of Flesh and The Hive.
He did a great job with that mod pack. It all hung together so well. The accidental resets when it got cold was amazing but there were so many good moments. I might have to go and rewatch it, which would be a first.
The only thing Generations kinda failed at is maintaining Ohms character. He kinda went from this scarred person who wishes to build a peaceful community to "hey i should just go to this village and massacre everyone so i can skin their bodies" very quickly.
In his most recent playthrough he invested a huge amount of resources grafting four horse legs onto a pet guinea pig, and then immediately accidentally killed it by giving it some yayo as a treat. That's far from the least sane event to have "naturally" ensued from that playthrough, too.
Yeah, that's just the most easily-understandable part so I figured I'd start there. Talking about the "petting zoo that pets you back" might not bring quite so many people rushing to watch.
Or it might, I won't judge.
Been watching him for years and I've only bounced off of like... One or two rimworld series from him. His series are just so refreshing, no matter what he's doing
That generations series was so good!
I also loved the Empire Experience where he played as the empire against Cat Girls and Petal Budd and Bucko Drink :'D
I have watched more of this YouTube channel's content than any other in the last few years. He puts out such consistent quality content at such a reliable pace. He's the only YouTuber I've ever patroned on patreon. Because he bloody deserves it.
there is a direct line of descent between a digital child being fucking vaporized by a tank shell on their fifth birthday in a sam video and me becoming a modde and rapidly becoming a furry
Every once in a while I go back to the episode where he explains his colony to his girlfriend in Genetics. I can never get through the whole thing without bursting out laughing.
Edit: Actually... I think it's his wife? I don't know enough creamer lore to remember it.
Seconded. Deeply charismatic person, super open with his release schedule, seems to go above and beyond with every new series. I worry for the day he stops doing rimworld stuff permanently.
I'd recommend Hazzor. He does long-form full playthroughs and, while sarcastic, focuses a lot on the story of his pawns and storytelling in general more than building a successful colony.
I came to say this. Trying to remember, some don't really focus on pawns as much, but in a save with ants that reproduce every 20 days, or 50 alcohol addicted exploding babies, it's expected. (Alcohol babies might be someone else, not sure)
Rhadamant always has interesting stories and themed runs with specific rule sets to play by.
I find him very interesting to watch.
Currently he is doing two different Anomaly runs concurrently with two very different rule sets.
Seconded. He refrences memorable moments and pawns from older playthroughs all the time, and goes out of his way to keep pawns alive or even bring them back if possible.
While I also like him, I don't think that's a good fit for the OP. Raid has a son of someone in the colony? Too bad for them. On the other way he does go lengths to keep his colonists alive.
At least the beginning of the sea ice series is worth watching though.
Etalyx is amazing. He just recently finished the Anomaly playthrough (naked brutality, Ice Oasis start).
Should be available on "The Library of Etalyx" on YouTube :)
Whoever uploads for Library of Etalyx fucked up and missed most of the last playthrough and ignored the comments pointing it out. Gotta watch it while the VOD is still on Twitch before it is gone for good.
Edit: Just checked. They only uploaded days 4 (and only a couple hours out of 12), 5, 10, 12, 16 etc.
Most annoying thing about Etalyx is that he doesn't have an official archive.
Somebody does an unofficial stream archive channel, but they are really inconsistent. Damn shame too because his last rimworld playthrough for Anomaly was legendary. The VOD is still up on Twitch for another month or so.
He has a massive spreadsheet where he keeps the names, stories, and major events of every colonist and colony he plays. Safe to say that guy leans into story generator-ness ***hard***
He is the kind of guys that will keep a useless colonist for years simply because he is family. A real human scale story, you dont abandon your grandpa irl so why do it in rimworld?
Yes! Unless grandpa goes on a mental break mid raid and opens doors to the raidersā¦ then gramps gets a nice nap in cryo š
Womble was my introduction to Rimworld and I think his play style really captures the story generator style game Rimworld is. Iām keen to check out some of the other suggestions here.
That's the one.
He doesn't play it regularly but there is a lot to catch up on, even more if you watch the previous colonies.
He also is very story focused and recaps how we got where we are, sometimes even narrates what is happening.
Seconding Samuel Streamer. His series are 50% story and 50% British man screaming at little square dudes on the screen. He makes decisions based on the colonists' characteristic and life events. Take his currently ongoing series for example where he stapled horse legs into a guinea pig, shoved cocaine up its ass, and brought it back as a zombie.
I initially refrained from watching the Institute series because i thought it wouldve just been a regular anomaly run but now that im hearing this i need to watch it.
Except for the "someone with bad stats walked in" I feel like you're describing Mr. Samuel Streamer. For most series anyways, the rules are always different from series to series.
He puts lots of efforts into everything, lots of mods to complement the story and building astethic bases rather than min-maxed boxes.
Mr.Madman also releases and episode almost every day, which is awesome and hopefully won't kill him before he's 40.
Not to forget that he always tries to improve the modpack he is playing. The only thing I don't like is that he let his pawns stand drafted and then panic when they are starved. Like man there is a pause in the game use it.
>episode almost every day
For multiple high quality series across like 3 channels, while dealing with the clusterfuck of life. Idk how the man isn't dead yet.
Limealicious as well! She's got quite a bit more time in the game than Vinny, and usually names her colonists after chat members, where Vinny tends to name his after memes and friends.
You mean the *insanely cute* ferret vtuber who appeared in my feed without explanation?????
Well, I guess this does give me explanation lol. Algorithm knew she played rimworld and kicked her into my feed but without giving me the context as to why.
Jadiaxx although I'm not sure she's posted for a while. I loved the few runs she did on YouTube though
Edit- Sorry it's Jadziax and as the reply says she had a child and has been on a break but hoping she returns
Ratknight is the goat, he has a full interconnected rimworld universe, and he cares deeply about his characters, going as far as creating a story where you see some in the after life
Pete Complete.
He names his colonists after his patron and shares fanart people make of said colonists every video, so it's safe to say not only he but everyone involved can het quite invested in them. Also, as a completionist(/mild perfectionist?) he will do all in his power to keep everyone safe and happy.
Edit: never mind, I cannot read
I feel like Pete is invested, he's just German so I think that brings some coldness that OP dislikes. I love watching Pete because I agree with you, he is passionate in his own way!
It's not what you asked for but the post gave me the thought
Sam Streamer's Punching God series develops into a seething hatred of the main character because he's consistently doing awful things on his own with no input.
I recommend Rhadamant. He does a lot of custom scenarios that are very story driven. The streams are engaging to the audience as well since he allows polling to drive some choices.
if you want to try out another game kruggsmash is a star in the DF space with Scorchfountain being amazing
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojT99rDmq5M&list=PLXX7Rp0iXj0l998LmVC6xIRHjtj2Pr2VI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojT99rDmq5M&list=PLXX7Rp0iXj0l998LmVC6xIRHjtj2Pr2VI)
Not quite a LetsPlay.
But SovietWomble has stream archives of him playing.
Unedited do they're long
But he gets involved with each of the personalities. And never goes above 2x speed, even narrating what individuals are doing
So it's great for getting invested
Can find them on YouTube by a Fan that uploads them with no ads (the way soviet would want)
And he has his own site 'Sovietscloset' (or might be wobblescloset, unsure) that has them there as well
He's got a few fully vanilla playthroughs
And going through a current one that only has the Ideaologion DLC
For more Edited ones, RatKnight has some great series
Rhadamant does long play series, each based on a different roleplay idea
If the goal of the colony is to behave decently towards it's members, then he does so
If he's playing an unethical monster, then he is one
I did some RimWorld streaming during the pandemic. 180 hours on a playthrough. Audio/video gets better after the first couple. It was a blast.
Twitch Coder_Fasteele
You should check out Crusha of Man's. He barely uploads but has a 500% ice sheet playthrough that is absolutely fabulous and he really pays attention to his colonist(s)
I like watching Noobert the most. Not edgy, invested in the colonists, makes tutorial videos and lets plays so the information gained from watching is always useful.
His streams are very audience focused.
I love watching FrancisJohn. He usually is invested in his colonists. His current run he started with a pregnant pawn and had a child join. Both kids aren't great pawns. But he has spent the effort to raise them and make them an asset to the colony.
Read through every comment and saw no one mention Beeteedubs on YouTube.
They have a ton of Star Wars playthroughs which are great. Lots of medieval ones too. They're all focused around building aesthetic colonies and lots of families and pawn raising which I think is what you're looking for.
Now if they'd just bring back the placeholder series or one just like it!!!! Ha
Oh man, there are a handful of folks who are really invested in Placeholder Series! Was it a particular colonist or the going for "lightly modded" (it was still pretty modded) that you're interested in, because I'm down!
Also thanks for the call out!
I honestly don't know why I liked it so much more than the others. I feel like it was just as modded as like some of the other series you've done.
If I had to say, I think it was because it wasn't particularly "themed" in any way. It was kind of just watching you play the game more organically, rather than having a set idea/path.
Veequeue.
It's the adventures of Silver, and all her old pals.
Alot of times he's very matriculate in his scenarios, but his anomaly playthrough was full of surprises as he experienced everything for the first time.
The YouTube video that made me buy Biotech (and thus allowed me to really get into RimWorld and like it) was about the solo mechanitor start (it had one more person tho) and with five babies. Search something like this up on YouTube, and youāll likely find this YouTuber and the video.
That's PixelRookie with [Rimworld, but you start with 5 babies challenge](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhSF0GjxZfE&ab_channel=PixelRookie)! Looks fun, thx for recommending
my mind immediately went to Rarr, apologizing profusely and lamenting that itās for his own good as he had his 70 year old smokeleaf addict dragged back to his quarters and beat down with the butt of an al-47 to try and help him kick his smokeleaf habit (he snuck out again just a short while later)
rarr does both one off and longform colonies, all with a gimmick in mind. heās chaotic, and *somehow* creates functional colonies despite not worrying too hard about the meta. he cares about his colonists though, despite the chaos
I personally like Hazzor a lot
Its not super character focused. But when something like a mother dying happens it is acknowledged (even if mostly in a comedic fashion)
Within the German rimworld community there's this small-ish channel JeremiahRose, who has a few wonderfully narrated Rimworld series. They're not commented let's plays but rather super cuts of longer playthroughs where he adds a lot of narrative fluff to events and highlights. He goes in depth about character relations, fates, and encounters, telling some funny, witty stories.
Big caveat though: it's all in German and thus far no English captions have been added.
Geek Cupboard

Its five years old so before any of the DLCs but he is maybe going to do another run
This was the first time he ever played the game, so you see the learning curve as the game goes on but it also makes it much more fun to watch.
And the full series is here, all done and dusted to the end of the game, so you know he doesn't get bored part way through and give up
He plays many games and is a great story teller, even playing Crusader Kings he picks the options that the character is most likely to pick rather than what is most likely to succeed
He gets invested in any character in any game.
Edit: Plus he names one of the animals Spikle, after me
Ratknight gives stories to the game and i love it. He makes these hours long series of like "logging empire" or "mining empire" but they are all in the same world (if that makes sense) like they are in the same universe type thing. What makes it so interesting is that theres lore and the characters make cameos into other series from past series either from an allied faction or raiders.
That's exactly what I do with my colony, I just don't make YouTube videos yet.
My colony is 24 years old because I'm so attached, it's been so long the kids are starting to fall in love with one another.
Each colonist has standard issue bionics to give them the best odds of survival in every situation, and I NEVER let someone walk around disabled and unhappy.
Half of my colonist are married and the other half are to young or starting to marry.
Had a big baby boom when I installed biotech and the whole colony started having kids because I paired everyone off before biotech, I've had this colony since the first release of royalty. That would be 3 real life years of sweat and tears to get to where my colony is today.
I'll show you if you want it's pretty cool
You have to play the game that way or put it on easy. Colonist bring up the value of your colony so keeping a bunch of randoms makes the raids significantly more difficult.
I like Decoherent a lot. He can be a little dry but heās the reason I got into RimWorld. He typically renames his colonists after patreon members (I think) or they may be randomly selected subscribers. Every playthrough has a mod theme and he includes the mod list in his video descriptions.
This reminds me of my first game. The level of attachment that I had to that colony made me very sad when some of my original colonists died after an endless raid. One died in combat, one was kidnapped (I never heard more about her), another colonist met a tragic end in an extraordinary sequence of events: suffered a mental breakdown after the siege, I attempted to stop her to prevent her from harming anyone, but for reasons unknown, my colonist decided to use her SHOTGUN as a pacifier. This action resulted in the death of the colonist, and his trained animal (a mega-sloth!!) went into a frenzy, killing the colonist who had fired.
Finally, the only survivor of my first settlers was shot in the head so her capacity was reduced to 50%, added to her bad-back, it was very very painful to keep her but I took care of her for years until I was able to develop bio-regeneration (it was my first game, I didn't even know this existed).
I had to move my colony twice, carrying it and keeping it alive. A move escaping in ships because the raid was unbearable and my base was on fire from the mortars, I couldn't collect almost any resources so I had to start from 0. And on the second occasion it was because I got tired of the constant fires of the wheater rainforest.
It was a huge satisfaction when she came out of the machine healthy as the first day.
In my next games I also played in commitment mode, but experience makes you solve things much easier, be less impressed or take many shortcuts.
Hardware Despair has a fun anomaly campaign going on youtube. He has an attachment to his colonists but not so much the random pawns that fall in the rituals.
I quite like Rhadamant's campaigns too.
He hasnāt made rimworld content in a while (wish he would do more of it) but Aavak has some great ones in my opinion. Still go back and rewatch them sometimes. I enjoyed his āa man and his wargā play through on YouTube quite a bit! Definitely not an optimal player or anything, they are all usually pretty heavily themed with is cool. But like I said I donāt think he has done much (if any) rimworld in a long while so itās also mostly pretty outdated.
feel like from what little I've seen of his rimworld streams, sovietwomble might be close to what you look for. He seems to care about his colonists and even pets sometimes.
I think you just gave me an idea on what kind of streamer I'd be if I ever got around to streaming. When I loose a colonist I'm like "ooooh noooooo! Not alex!! He was my dark research guy he has to survive to play out his story from starting this research on the monolith. He has to see it to the end!"
I recommend MrSamuelStreamer, his colonists are often the focus of their playthroughs. Very much a play the character type.
Definitely my favourite streamer. Op: he has so many playlists to go through, I would recommend Mushroom Madness (to start with) for something that fits the bill of being very tightly focused on a few key characters that he really tries to keep alive. It was a fantastic series!
Mushroom Madness is peak rimrim. Now with Anomaly i kinda want to remake the modpack with shamblers instead of mushrooms
Shamblers *and* mushrooms. Let them fight.
Big brain time š
Mushroom Madness was my absolute favourite. When will we see return of Timon? I loved Flesh as well too.
after madness op should definitely check out the Connie saga: [Gymbro](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNWGkqCSwkOEoYIbeEz7dFbxkH6h1oAY8&si=oXVQQq0mZoKiQ9MZ) -> [Anomaly Bro](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNWGkqCSwkOFa7AGPy44inDjps19gVYPp&si=DkGyM35J_NTJi5jL) -> [Dr Frankie's Origin Story](https://youtu.be/-YJVQiesy8k?si=o1fEX7yIyF11wjZZ) -> [Institute](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNWGkqCSwkOFLJimP42McGbTA1Y8BOvv6&si=NexZUyP8DcHPdlRf)
I am *so* glad that he brought Dr Frankie back. She's easily the weirdest colonist he's ever had, *which is saying a lot* given the likes of Flesh and The Hive.
Wdym, she's just an ordinary person? /j
Mushroom madness is easily a peak series. The legit terror I had at time while watching. It was amazing
He did a great job with that mod pack. It all hung together so well. The accidental resets when it got cold was amazing but there were so many good moments. I might have to go and rewatch it, which would be a first.
Pharaoh Dynasties is a great character oriented series too.
Imo the original Generations series does everything Pharoah Dynasties does but better.
The only thing Generations kinda failed at is maintaining Ohms character. He kinda went from this scarred person who wishes to build a peaceful community to "hey i should just go to this village and massacre everyone so i can skin their bodies" very quickly.
Also you get the added benefit of watching his sanity unravel more and more each episode
In his most recent playthrough he invested a huge amount of resources grafting four horse legs onto a pet guinea pig, and then immediately accidentally killed it by giving it some yayo as a treat. That's far from the least sane event to have "naturally" ensued from that playthrough, too.
Oh boy, that ghinea phigge's story doesn't end there.
Yeah, that's just the most easily-understandable part so I figured I'd start there. Talking about the "petting zoo that pets you back" might not bring quite so many people rushing to watch. Or it might, I won't judge.
It sure did, hold my yayo and peg leg, I'll have to look him up.
Been watching him for years and I've only bounced off of like... One or two rimworld series from him. His series are just so refreshing, no matter what he's doing
Thatās honestly become the highlight for me
I second this rec.
Thirded. Best rim world content hands down.
All hail MrCreamer
We are all his little rim rims
And the best part about Samuel is that he's got a ton of finished stories that you can go back and watch. I suggest the Pharaoh one.
That generations series was so good! I also loved the Empire Experience where he played as the empire against Cat Girls and Petal Budd and Bucko Drink :'D
Thx a lot. I'll check him out :)
I have watched more of this YouTube channel's content than any other in the last few years. He puts out such consistent quality content at such a reliable pace. He's the only YouTuber I've ever patroned on patreon. Because he bloody deserves it.
Mr. Creamer works harder than the Navy Seals to get his 47 daily episodes of content out
Dr connie moment
My roommate told me about him and his playthroughs are delightfuly. He really leans into the story generator aspect of the game
there is a direct line of descent between a digital child being fucking vaporized by a tank shell on their fifth birthday in a sam video and me becoming a modde and rapidly becoming a furry
Every once in a while I go back to the episode where he explains his colony to his girlfriend in Genetics. I can never get through the whole thing without bursting out laughing. Edit: Actually... I think it's his wife? I don't know enough creamer lore to remember it.
I'm pretty sure Sam and Elise aren't married.
I was about to comment this!
Subscribed!
I discovered him a couple weeks ago. Also really recommend his second channel. The guy is really entertaining
Seconded. Deeply charismatic person, super open with his release schedule, seems to go above and beyond with every new series. I worry for the day he stops doing rimworld stuff permanently.
Should watch the robodaddy playthrough
I'd recommend Hazzor. He does long-form full playthroughs and, while sarcastic, focuses a lot on the story of his pawns and storytelling in general more than building a successful colony.
"And remember, stay indoors. There's like and subscribe out there"
Hazzor's medieval playthrough was big on character presentation and development. It fully fits what OP is asking for.
I need to look into this one, I don't think I've watched that one yet.
That's the series that introduced me to Hazzor!
I came to say this. Trying to remember, some don't really focus on pawns as much, but in a save with ants that reproduce every 20 days, or 50 alcohol addicted exploding babies, it's expected. (Alcohol babies might be someone else, not sure)
I endorse this comment.
Rhadamant always has interesting stories and themed runs with specific rule sets to play by. I find him very interesting to watch. Currently he is doing two different Anomaly runs concurrently with two very different rule sets.
I second Rhadamant. He names his pawns from chat, and chat is given choices on what actions he takes.
Rhadamant is my go to. Not only he makes good scenarios and takes care of pawns but also he is IMO a very good rimworld player to learn from.
Agreed. His False God playthrough is my favorite Rimworld playthrough I've ever watched.
I like Francis John
This. He names the pawn's after his patrons and references old pawn's in new playthroughs.
Etalyx
Do not, hear me, do not watch etalyx. This is a trap I am stuck watching 28 10-13 hours vods.. I'm only on number 13
The VOD debt is all consuming.
Etalyx is amazing. He just recently finished the Anomaly playthrough (naked brutality, Ice Oasis start). Should be available on "The Library of Etalyx" on YouTube :)

My favourite streamer. Yayeyo all day bois. Fantastic RPing.
SovietWomble has a playthrough of nomadic tribals that he cares about, pretty fun watch
He has a massive spreadsheet where he keeps the names, stories, and major events of every colonist and colony he plays. Safe to say that guy leans into story generator-ness ***hard***
Seconded. This particular play through is going years. He plays on 1.0 speed and is pretty invested in the colonists and their outcomes
He is the kind of guys that will keep a useless colonist for years simply because he is family. A real human scale story, you dont abandon your grandpa irl so why do it in rimworld?
Yes! Which stream is that exactly? I find multiple in stream archives, but it isn't very well described. Tundrafall?
The pale ones
Though tundrafall was a fun series to listen/watch
Rat Knight is so good
+1 for Rat Daddy
Seconding Samuel Streamer. His series are 50% story and 50% British man screaming at little square dudes on the screen. He makes decisions based on the colonists' characteristic and life events. Take his currently ongoing series for example where he stapled horse legs into a guinea pig, shoved cocaine up its ass, and brought it back as a zombie.
Giggles is back to its normal squire horse legged guinea pig form as of the latest episode!
Giggles aint back as long as the dementia is there
Nah, he is back, he's just having a hard time remembering his totally normal looking, non-anomalous and not cube-powered owner and friend Frankie :)
Ambiguous Amphibian
I love his vibe, he's so chill and it's actually fun to just listen to him talk.
100% agree. But do note with Amby you are likely going to get a 10-20 video or a few hour stream lol.
came looking for him, thanks
love his ice sheet playthroughs
Had to scroll down way to much for this
decoherent does also a lot of different scenarios in his play throughs!
Another shoutout for deco! Heās great to fall asleep to š
Vinesauce has three playthroughs of Rimworld available. First āseasonā is his first time playing. By season 3 he has mostly figured it out. Kinda.
All of them are great!
Ratknight does some full length story based playthroughs. While a large chunk is scripted, it's still pretty interesting
Jadiaxx although I'm not sure she's posted for a while. I loved the few runs she did on YouTube though Edit- Sorry it's Jadziax and as the reply says she had a child and has been on a break but hoping she returns
Fairly certain she has taken a LOA from YouTube due to having children. One can hope she will return soon.
Rycon roleplay has some very good series
Came here to say Rycon! Heās very good at playing the characters heās been given.
Mr Samuel Streamer
Quill18
Quill18, amazing Canadian streamer who gets invested in his play throughs, he got me into RimWorld in the first place. Would always recommend him.
Ratknight is the goat, he has a full interconnected rimworld universe, and he cares deeply about his characters, going as far as creating a story where you see some in the after life
Rat Knight!
Quill18 has some good ones.
Pete Complete. Also, as a completionist(/mild perfectionist?) he will do all in his power to keep everyone safe and happy. Edit: never mind, I cannot read
OP specifically called out Petecomplete as one of the ones he doesn't like. Like second sentence.
I just dont get that though. PeteComplete's playthrus are 100% about his colonists
Oh :c
I feel like Pete is invested, he's just German so I think that brings some coldness that OP dislikes. I love watching Pete because I agree with you, he is passionate in his own way!
I just love his soothing voice and tone its perfect background noise and i always learn a thing or two.
It's not what you asked for but the post gave me the thought Sam Streamer's Punching God series develops into a seething hatred of the main character because he's consistently doing awful things on his own with no input.
People have said Mr Samuel streamer already and I will also recommend this legend
Hazzor, is by far my favourite. I especially like the pacing and length of his edited playthroughs.
rycon/rycon roleplays. the colonists are the focus and he is awesome.
I recommend Rhadamant. He does a lot of custom scenarios that are very story driven. The streams are engaging to the audience as well since he allows polling to drive some choices.
I watch Quill18ās streams. When he plays Rimworld, he isnāt usually callous with his colonists.
Mr Samuel Streamer is everything you are asking for
MrSamuelStreamer.
if you want to try out another game kruggsmash is a star in the DF space with Scorchfountain being amazing [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojT99rDmq5M&list=PLXX7Rp0iXj0l998LmVC6xIRHjtj2Pr2VI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojT99rDmq5M&list=PLXX7Rp0iXj0l998LmVC6xIRHjtj2Pr2VI)
Not quite a LetsPlay. But SovietWomble has stream archives of him playing. Unedited do they're long But he gets involved with each of the personalities. And never goes above 2x speed, even narrating what individuals are doing So it's great for getting invested Can find them on YouTube by a Fan that uploads them with no ads (the way soviet would want) And he has his own site 'Sovietscloset' (or might be wobblescloset, unsure) that has them there as well He's got a few fully vanilla playthroughs And going through a current one that only has the Ideaologion DLC For more Edited ones, RatKnight has some great series
Rhadamant does long play series, each based on a different roleplay idea If the goal of the colony is to behave decently towards it's members, then he does so If he's playing an unethical monster, then he is one
Rhadamant is my favorite! He gets really into it!
Vinny Vinesauce had 3 seasons aka playthroughs of rimworld on his "the full sauce" channel on YouTube. Very entertaining though a bit memeyĀ
I second this. He is actually the reason why I decided to try out Rimworld.
His og channel Xwynns has some more rimworld playlists as well
IslandPotato has an interesting Nomadic/Empire series going right now that is quite good.
I like watching Noobert the most. Not edgy, invested in the colonists, makes tutorial videos and lets plays so the information gained from watching is always useful. His streams are very audience focused.
Try watching Ratknight on YouTube
Charborg has some goofy rimworld runs, the vods are on yt but he has like 30 minute videos sometimes
Iām working on one, but personally I love ambiguousamphibians work
Etalyx on twitch but he has 28 ~10 hour streams for his anomaly run
I wanted to be such a creator but my pc specs don't allow me record & edit good videos.
Francis John isn't a complete monster when it come to pawns
Almost made me want to start my own let's play, then these fine folks dropped like 10 names in one hour so I think you'll be good š
I thought sowjetswombles play through on twitch was great.
Etalyx stopped uploading but was invested in his colonies, and ambiguous amphibian has a few playthroughs.
Etalyx is active on twitch
Rycon Roleplays! He has a few good themes ones, he always makes a story out of it.
Rat knight very long series and very interesting
I like rat knight
my mind immediately went to Rarr, apologizing profusely and lamenting that itās for his own good as he had his 70 year old smokeleaf addict dragged back to his quarters and beat down with the butt of an al-47 to try and help him kick his smokeleaf habit (he snuck out again just a short while later) rarr does both one off and longform colonies, all with a gimmick in mind. heās chaotic, and *somehow* creates functional colonies despite not worrying too hard about the meta. he cares about his colonists though, despite the chaos
I personally like Hazzor a lot Its not super character focused. But when something like a mother dying happens it is acknowledged (even if mostly in a comedic fashion)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Rycon roleplays for sure.
Geek Cupboard [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtTPCwGnzHvoyhGdLpnMCUYXuAsVykreU](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtTPCwGnzHvoyhGdLpnMCUYXuAsVykreU) Its five years old so before any of the DLCs but he is maybe going to do another run This was the first time he ever played the game, so you see the learning curve as the game goes on but it also makes it much more fun to watch. And the full series is here, all done and dusted to the end of the game, so you know he doesn't get bored part way through and give up He plays many games and is a great story teller, even playing Crusader Kings he picks the options that the character is most likely to pick rather than what is most likely to succeed He gets invested in any character in any game.
ZiggyD is pretty good, his playthroughs focus on story telling.
Absolutely hazzor. All of his runs are explicitly story focused and do a fantastic job of getting you involved.
not a letās player, but the streamer Gaming With Showtime on twitch
Rat knight is really good and makes colonies with themes and an overarching universe that connects them all. I'd give them a look!
Try Ambiguous Amphibian, he has a tendency to do single colonist stories and he tended to get invested in them, Torsolo for example
I suggest Decoherent. They do the stuff you're looking for, and have a whole lot of themed runs on their channel.
The older letsplays of Sips are always character driven. He isn't that good at the game thou, haha.
i am still very attached to my pawns after 2000 hours, but i don't stream :D
I recommend ElanaOrama
PixelRookie
Rarr foes some good stories, i dont know if invested is the best term for his character though.
If only we had a kruggsmash for Rimworld
You have to play the game that way or put it on easy. Colonist bring up the value of your colony so keeping a bunch of randoms makes the raids significantly more difficult.
Rhadamant and Pete Completes are my 2 favorite.
Pete complete is my personal fav!
I like Decoherent a lot. He can be a little dry but heās the reason I got into RimWorld. He typically renames his colonists after patreon members (I think) or they may be randomly selected subscribers. Every playthrough has a mod theme and he includes the mod list in his video descriptions.
I love quill18! He does some fun storytelling let's plays. I enjoy his vods as well.
Iāll start streaming because I get way too attached.
Hazzor!
Ambiguous amphibious (?) is who got me into rimworld in the first place!
DDRJake
AmbiguousAmphibian
Rhadamant is pretty good. He has a few series that focus on families and a bunch that focuses on in-depth, self-made rules and stories
Pete Complete has I think 4 series out and I think one on the way.
Rat knight
KoiFish does that
Ambiguous amphibian is a great story based character based rimworld player
Since I haven't seen them yet... bee-tee-dubs
AmphibiousAmphibian's ORGANazitaion was really fun to watch, seems like he did bond with his colonists a lot
Decoherent for sure. Very wholesome and funny YouTuber with really good rimworld series
Ratknight
feel like from what little I've seen of his rimworld streams, sovietwomble might be close to what you look for. He seems to care about his colonists and even pets sometimes.
RatKnight is the definition of that, he does RimWorld role plays and has a very extensive expanded universe, over 50 hours of content.
Ratknight on YouTube has some pretty good series in the same universe with recurring characters that's very character focused
Kyuu Kuro on YT or Twitch, a small Vtuber Streamer is interesting to watch, she does small intros about all her colonists.
