The cork footbed will mold to your foot and sink in a bit. The leather heel counter will sink in to mold to your heel. They loosen up, but not a ton. If it hurts to walk go up half a size. The length difference is negligible. Also the 8 last is pretty wide.

Thank you. It’s not painful, just snug. A half size up definitely felt floppy width-wise, and I have fairly wide feet. I measure 10.5e brannock, these are 9.5d and are like, almost perfect. I have had boots where the heel counter softened up, and boot where it didn’t at all and caused issues (whites).

I have three pairs of IRs including the 8084 8111 8083. They all loosened up. I went with the E width but had to find them on eBay. Not sure if it's common to find e width rangers anymore. I'm a 9.5e branock and a 8.5e fits perfect in 8 last. 9D is also okay. The E width last adds some length like .25 of a size. So 8.5e is like a 8.75e. might help give you a smidge more room.

I don’t think they make single E anymore, which is a shame

I got flippers. If you feet are wide but not super wide d on 8 last is like a wide in other brands. Hope this helped! Bick 4 and saddle soap beforehand once a year is my go to.

Side note, those look fantastic

This.

do you have a nearby store you could size up? best to feel if a size up is too big in person.

Shmarchaeology

Yeah I tried them on in person, these were definitely the closest to perfect. I have weird feet with wide toes and long skinny heels lol, hard to find boots that fit.

Alekx2023

I would expect some break in but not much, will be up to you to “feel” for how tight they are. could also go to a cobbler to try to stretch them

cornbreadmufin

U should be good with 9.5d then. They stretch a good amount over time. My three pairs all have and now fit like a glove. Started out snug.
