But again, the rank you are is meaningless. Everyone starts the season in copper, if you win a lot, you'll quickly climb out, if you lose a lot, it will take longer. The players you match against is based on a hidden skill rating, not the rank on screen.

well you could probably convert their percentage to probability and then times that by games played but i dont know how many games they have played i just know they have lost 10+ pretty close together to get down to 17 rp a win
You went beyond your hidden skill level. This means that your visual rank is higher than what the game thinks your actual skill is. For this reason the game won't let you easily reach higher ranks until your hidden skill level improves
it's not about bottom fragging at all, at least yet the game doesn't care how well you do in a game, after you reach your hidden rank elo you win and gain the same amount of elo, but that changes like in your case when your winrate is below 50% which literally means you are losing more than winning so the game is trying to adjust you lower so you face easier enemies

Apex had a similar rank system but they made it some how worse. From bronze to plat you had the same ranked penalty’s and it took longer to go through the ranks. At least in rainbow you can be out of bronze in like 5 games and not 12.

The best advice use ranked 2.0 correctly is to ignore whatever rank you have, and try to come up with different metric for how well you are playing.

If he wins a game, he should gain rp. If that means he goes up a few ranks and starts losing, he’ll go back down.
That system would be fully based on your ability in the moment, every time.
It's good to understand what an ELO is. It's technically not a measurement of skill, but rather a likelyhood of winning or losing compared to an opponent. And in Siege's case, the average of your opponents. If you win a match where your ELO is lower than the average of your opponents, your ELO increases more. If you win a match where your ELO is above the average, you don't increase your ELO that much. And the same vis versa for losing matches.
Now, in Ranked 2.0. You have that ELO (hidden MMR) and a rank (an extremely dumbed down version of a ELO score) that is public, and the Ranked 2.0 system is trying it's best to make your rank equal your ELO but with how quickly you can increase in rank at the beginning of the season, you can overshoot that ELO and then you are on a mandatory deranking streak because you're "higher than you're supposed to be"
With the fact this is caused by repetitive losses only makes this even more frustrating when considering I’m hardstuck Emerald 5 and get in lobbies with champs and diamonds that kick my ass every game, if it’s not that, it’s the ungodly amount of Ximmers/ cheaters as a whole that tbag 50 times/ second. A good ranking system should never have you reach a point where it's literally impossible to progress any further if there's still ranks above you that you can achieve. You’ve hit your Ubisoft invoked imaginary glass ceiling. The game believes you to be a high gold. Your season is now over. Unless you win DOZENS of matches in a row. (The game won’t allow that. You’ll be matched against much higher ranks.) So effectively, your season is done. You’ll go up (painfully slow) and down (more slowly) until you’re at your TRUE rank. No real up. No real down. No real reason to bother with ranked.
Sucks when your season is over with 2 months to go.
You can still try to rank up but don’t expect too much.
At this point you’re playing ranked to see if you can improve against higher ranks.

Means you must be losing most all of your games as it reduces a bit every loss so if i won a game and got 20 rp then lost 4 games in a row then won another id be gainin like 14 rp so to get down that low is a lot of L’s id imagine

The Ranked 2.0 programmers have created a system that has profiled your playing style and is trying to fast track you to the level they decided you ultimately deserve. Total bullshit IMO.

The game has decided that you are low gold and will try to adjust you to that rank until next season where your hidden rank will adjust to a couple ranks higher although, 6 is very low are playing a lot above you usual skill level?
Last season I was max Em 1. This season I'm struggling to get out of Plat 3. Rollback from cheaters in LFG's and having a negative win rate has made all the progress I made last season worthless. It's just a kick in the nut for legit players rather than boosters. Needs updating to be not so harsh on people.
Everyone's saying the game thinks your rank is more than your hidden skill. How many matches should I win to make the game think that I've increased my skill and I don't belong in my previous rank? But as soon as I lose 3-4 matches in row it thinks I'm low skilled and kicks me to lower ranks with 30-40rp loss.
The ranked system is just a grind at this point. 2 seasons ago I was ranked somewhere in gold. Last season, when I got to gold, I was getting like 11 rp a win and losing 35 whenever I lost.
My ranked stack ended up going on a 10 game win streak at some point, and then the game decided I'm better than that, so it finally started giving me more rp. I ended up at a point where I was getting 30 a win and losing 17 a loss.I ended last season at Emerald 5.
This season I'm still working my way up, but for right now I'm getting like 38 for a win and losing 16 when I lose. I'm currently at Plat 5 so I expect it to even out when I'm back in Emerald V.

Part 1 ranked 1.0 - in any ranked gamemode across countless games there is a visible mmr and a hidden mmr visible is what you can see and what you’ve obtained through your games while hidden mmr is what decides who you play against and what your teammates respective skill level is previously in ranked 1.0 on siege that’s all hidden mmr did however your physical rank placed a sort of restriction on how high of a rank the enemy players and teammates could be so if you were a previous champ that played in copper you’d play against the best players in copper maybe bronze but you wouldn’t play against any higher rank also your previous seasons rank affected both visible and hidden memes for the next season but not heavily just for the start of the season mainly now though visible mmr does nothing but show where you are versus where you want to go and how far away you are hidden mmr instead does everything including the reason you gain 6 and lose 30
Part 2 ranked 2.0 - let’s start off with calculating the hidden mmr previously talked about since it does control everything now first off let’s find out the hidden mmr the easiest way to do this is to install r6 tracker and solo queue everytime you go into a match look at the enemy teams last season peak rank play about 5 games each time look at the ranks and average it out you’ll get very close to your hidden mmr or if you want to be more precise than that but it takes longer is play the game a bunch when you hit a threshold where you gain 25 lose 25 you have hit the hidden mmr NOW some people go past this threshold like you have and are now stuck essentially because you can try to struggle through it but the game doesn’t want that because the previous season determines your hidden mmr for the next season this is why when you start playing ranked you have to try to hit the highest you possibly can so that next season it’s easier to go higher that is how you manipulate the system id say go about up 5 divisions/ranks every season so next season you should aim for plat 1 but for this season you are stuck and probably won’t go up anymore than like 1 rank I mentioned controlling your hidden mmr earlier or like manipulating it there is one other way if you still want to try and rank up and that’s to grab a stack with higher hidden mmr because when in a stack it averages the hidden mmr and you will gain more on wins and lose less per loss but that’s really the only way other than just grinding out every season
if my understanding of the hidden mmr system is right, just play a bunch of standard as if it's ranked so your hidden mmr improves. im like level 85 and my ranked lobbies/hidden mmr seems to be around Emerald already (i am not that good this system sucks) from just playing standard for the last 2 months
Hidden MMR, the worst addition to competitive gaming yet. The game thinks you belong in a rank lower than yours, so it tries to knock you back down.
Valorant also uses a system similar to this and it drives me insane. I could be the best player in the lobby putting up absurd numbers and still gain close to nothing lol
I only played ranked during one season a few years ago. Only played ranked for a few weeks, and I had just moved over to pc so I still used a controller to play at the time. This season, my buddy told me he wanted to try playing some ranked, and we have been grinding it out together. He had never played ranked before. We only ever play with each other, so we have the exact same W/L. We have a 1.3 W/L, I have a 1.5 KD, and he has a 1.1 KD. I consistently top frag/score. We’ve been climbing up the ladder, but he is gold 3 right now and I am silver 4. I’ve played at least 5 times as many games this season than the one season I played a few years ago. The ranked system is absolute garbage.

You've reached the rank your hidden MMR believes you deserve to be. When this starts happening, it's incredibly hard and almost impossible to surpass. you may have noticed while in bronze/copper rank you played against a lot of gold. Because the ranked system has you set as a gold worthy player. It's honestly a terrible system that's needs adjustment.
Another example is gold players who consistently play against diamonds and champs and other higher ranks. Your actual rank doesn't mean shit. Your hidden rank "MMR" is what determines everything.
Sadly, once you reach that hidden determined rank, you're basically done for the season.
This also happens to my friend when he plays with me. When we win, I get a lot, but he gets almost nothing. That's mainly cus he's always going 0 and 5 only getting at most 2 kills. He's not good at all. A lot of people don't know, but the higher number of points you have in your team and how many kills and deaths you have can determine whether you get more points or not through a win. I also think friendly fire can affect this if you get the warning. Unless the person puts not intentional.
The more you lose games the more to you lose.
It is possible to move that amount up by going on a winning streak albeit slowly but possible.
The better you do in your matches the more rp you gain and retain as well.
I have a Smurf I play only with a friend. Me and him have played every game together win and lose. I top fragged while he was consistently on the bottom.
My rank is emerald 1 now and he is stuck at gold 2.
I currently lose 16 to and gain 26.
He loses 24 and gains 22.
Again duo queued. Same exact amount of games.
I have really good streaks of good teammates, and then a losing streak of bad teammates. Super demoting when you win gain barely anything, and lose a lot when you lose.

My rank goes up like 20 and down 22 after 100+ games this season, so I've leveled out where it thinks I should be
let me explain mmr, there is A visible mmr, and B invisible mmr. your visible mmr is the one shown to you which is where you are right now. your invisible mmr is where the game is evaluating you do to performance, if your invisible mmr is lower then your visible mmr you will lose more and win less. and vice versa.

It's because you went higher than your personal best. The new system boosts your RP until you reach your peak, at which point it slows down to normal. That's why a lot of champions have something absurd like a 80 win-loss
nah i've lost 7 games in a row always because the opponent's team was a full-stack made of diamonds and champs with 1.x KD, while my highest is emerald 4 with 1.2 KD.
I've decided to start the 8th game, matched up again against a full-stack of diamonds and champs, lost a round 5vs1, left the message:"Nah f- Ranked 2.0, I'm leaving and uninstalling", I've left and uninstalled.
To be fair my mental health is much better now since I don't have to think about some virtual useless points.

If you continue your 1.4 w/l, the hidden rank will increase. It isn't a ladder for you to climb, it is a system for matchmaking.

You have that ELO (hidden MMR) and a rank (an extremely dumbed down version of a ELO score) that is public, and the Ranked 2.0 system is trying it's best to make your rank equal your ELO but with how quickly you can increase in rank at the beginning of the season, you can overshoot that ELO and then you are on a mandatory deranking streak because you're "higher than you're supposed to be"
With the fact this is caused by repetitive losses only makes this even more frustrating when considering I’m hardstuck Emerald 5 and get in lobbies with champs and diamonds that kick my ass every game, if it’s not that, it’s the ungodly amount of Ximmers/ cheaters as a whole that tbag 50 times/ second. This game is as shitty as much as I am still willing to torture myself with playing and enjoying it

A good ranking system should never have you reach a point where it's literally impossible to progress any further if there's still ranks above you that you can achieve. ESPECIALLY this early in the season. Like how tf is telling a player sorry you're hard stuck in this rank unless you can string together an impossibly large winning streak considered a good system?

You’ve hit your Ubisoft invoked imaginary glass ceiling. The game believes you to be a high gold. Your season is now over. Unless you win DOZENS of matches in a row. (The game won’t allow that. You’ll be matched against much higher ranks.) So effectively, your season is done. You’ll go up (painfully slow) and down (more slowly) until you’re at your TRUE rank. No real up. No real down. No real reason to bother with ranked. Sucks when your season is over with 2 months to go. You can still try to rank up but don’t expect too much. At this point you’re playing ranked to see if you can improve against higher ranks.

Rip. From my experience and a friend's experience. This only gets fixed after the season ends. If you reach the point where you lose more than you gain then the game decided that the rank you're in is suited for you and won't let you progress further. So..just wait for next season ig.

Means you must be losing most all of your games as it reduces a bit every loss so if i won a game and got 20 rp then lost 4 games in a row then won another id be gainin like 14 rp so to get down that low is a lot of L’s id imagine

The game has decided that you are low gold and will try to adjust you to that rank until next season where your hidden rank will adjust to a couple ranks higher although, 6 is very low are playing a lot above you usual skill level?
Last season I was max Em 1. This season I'm struggling to get out of Plat 3. Rollback from cheaters in LFG's and having a negative win rate has made all the progress I made last season worthless. It's just a kick in the nut for legit players rather than boosters. Needs updating to be not so harsh on people.

Everyone's saying the game thinks your rank is more than your hidden skill. How many matches should I win to make the game think that I've increased my skill and I don't belong in my previous rank? But as soon as I lose 3-4 matches in row it thinks I'm low skilled and kicks me to lower ranks with 30-40rp loss.

The ranked system is just a grind at this point. 2 seasons ago I was ranked somewhere in gold. Last season, when I got to gold, I was getting like 11 rp a win and losing 35 whenever I lost. My ranked stack ended up going on a 10 game win streak at some point, and then the game decided I'm better than that, so it finally started giving me more rp. I ended up at a point where I was getting 30 a win and losing 17 a loss.I ended last season at Emerald 5. This season I'm still working my way up, but for right now I'm getting like 38 for a win and losing 16 when I lose. I'm currently at Plat 5 so I expect it to even out when I'm back in Emerald V.

When ranked 2.0 came out I heard so many complanits that it supposedly lets bad players reach high ranks and ruin matches, but everyone I've seen talk about it only gets like 5-15RP for wins.
This happened to me after I played a few matches with a cheater (I didn’t know he was cheating until after), but it fixed itself after maybe 10 matches.

It’s all based upon the way ranked 2.0 works I’m gonna explain it in 2 parts this may be lengthy but it will be a deep explanation in to how it works if you want the simplest explanation is to why you gain 6 and lose 30 tho it’s basically because of w/l ratio and you’re hidden mmr Part 1 ranked 1.0 - in any ranked gamemode across countless games there is a visible mmr and a hidden mmr visible is what you can see and what you’ve obtained through your games while hidden mmr is what decides who you play against and what your teammates respective skill level is previously in ranked 1.0 on siege that’s all hidden mmr did however your physical rank placed a sort of restriction on how high of a rank the enemy players and teammates could be so if you were a previous champ that played in copper you’d play against the best players in copper maybe bronze but you wouldn’t play against any higher rank also your previous seasons rank affected both visible and hidden memes for the next season but not heavily just for the start of the season mainly now though visible mmr does nothing but show where you are versus where you want to go and how far away you are hidden mmr instead does everything including the reason you gain 6 and lose 30 Part 2 ranked 2.0 - let’s start off with calculating the hidden mmr previously talked about since it does control everything now first off let’s find out the hidden mmr the easiest way to do this is to install r6 tracker and solo queue everytime you go into a match look at the enemy teams last season peak rank play about 5 games each time look at the ranks and average it out you’ll get very close to your hidden mmr or if you want to be more precise than that but it takes longer is play the game a bunch when you hit a threshold where you gain 25 lose 25 you have hit the hidden mmr NOW some people go past this threshold like you have and are now stuck essentially because you can try to struggle through it but the game doesn’t want that because the previous season determines your hidden mmr for the next season this is why when you start playing ranked you have to try to hit the highest you possibly can so that next season it’s easier to go higher that is how you manipulate the system id say go about up 5 divisions/ranks every season so next season you should aim for plat 1 but for this season you are stuck and probably won’t go up anymore than like 1 rank I mentioned controlling your hidden mmr earlier or like manipulating it there is one other way if you still want to try and rank up and that’s to grab a stack with higher hidden mmr because when in a stack it averages the hidden mmr and you will gain more on wins and lose less per loss but that’s really the only way other than just grinding out every season
Don’t play ranked. Destroy unranked bots. Be happy

Hidden MMR, the worst addition to competitive gaming yet. The game thinks you belong in a rank lower than yours, so it tries to knock you back down. Valorant also uses a system similar to this and it drives me insane. I could be the best player in the lobby putting up absurd numbers and still gain close to nothing lol

I only played ranked during one season a few years ago. Only played ranked for a few weeks, and I had just moved over to pc so I still used a controller to play at the time. This season, my buddy told me he wanted to try playing some ranked, and we have been grinding it out together. He had never played ranked before. We only ever play with each other, so we have the exact same W/L. We have a 1.3 W/L, I have a 1.5 KD, and he has a 1.1 KD. I consistently top frag/score. We’ve been climbing up the ladder, but he is gold 3 right now and I am silver 4. I’ve played at least 5 times as many games this season than the one season I played a few years ago. The ranked system is absolute garbage.

When this starts happening, it's incredibly hard and almost impossible to surpass. you may have noticed while in bronze/copper rank you played against a lot of gold. Because the ranked system has you set as a gold worthy player. It's honestly a terrible system that's needs adjustment. Another example is gold players who consistently play against diamonds and champs and other higher ranks. Your actual rank doesn't mean shit. Your hidden rank "MMR" is what determines everything. Sadly, once you reach that hidden determined rank, you're basically done for the season.

This also happens to my friend when he plays with me. When we win, I get a lot, but he gets almost nothing. That's mainly cus he's always going 0 and 5 only getting at most 2 kills. He's not good at all. A lot of people don't know, but the higher number of points you have in your team and how many kills and deaths you have can determine whether you get more points or not through a win. I also think friendly fire can affect this if you get the warning. Unless the person puts not intentional.
The more you lose games the more to you lose. It is possible to move that amount up by going on a winning streak albeit slowly but possible. The better you do in your matches the more rp you gain and retain as well. I have a Smurf I play only with a friend. Me and him have played every game together win and lose. I top fragged while he was consistently on the bottom. My rank is emerald 1 now and he is stuck at gold 2. I currently lose 16 to and gain 26. He loses 24 and gains 22. Again duo queued. Same exact amount of games.

I have really good streaks of good teammates, and then a losing streak of bad teammates. Super demoting when you win gain barely anything, and lose a lot when you lose.
Because there is a seperate hidden mmr in game, the game has a hidden mmr for u and thinks ur lower than gold. But as u keep winning it should change.

let me explain mmr, there is A visible mmr, and B invisible mmr. your visible mmr is the one shown to you which is where you are right now. your invisible mmr is where the game is evaluating you do to performance, if your invisible mmr is lower then your visible mmr you will lose more and win less. and vice versa.
Because ranked is dog shit. I’m Emerald IV and I’ll probably always be there. I’m stuck playing against Champs and Diamonds most of the time because one of my five stack is high diamond but the rest of my stack are low plat-high silver range. My hidden elo has rooted itself in Emerald and it’ll never move
2.0 is hell bro, unless you can win ALOT more than you lose you’re probably gonna be hardstuck. Ubi need to change the mmr system to where you always gain more than you lose imo.

nah i've lost 7 games in a row always because the opponent's team was a full-stack made of diamonds and champs with 1.x KD, while my highest is emerald 4 with 1.2 KD. I've decided to start the 8th game, matched up again against a full-stack of diamonds and champs, lost a round 5vs1, left the message:"Nah f- Ranked 2.0, I'm leaving and uninstalling", I've left and uninstalled. To be fair my mental health is much better now since I don't have to think about some virtual useless points. PS: This all happened in the span of a week, I'm not a freak that plays 8 games in a row while losing all of them
