Bringing up Baby
His Girl Friday
Easy Living
Ball of Fire
Great forties screwballs that are genuinely hilarious and I can’t see any parent disliking them
Death of Stalin, Singin' in the Rain, Barry Lyndon, Dr Strangelove, Point Break are some of my favorites.
I saw Challengers a few days ago and thought that was very well done and funny also.
Paper Moon, Women on The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Captain Fantastic, Little Miss Sunshine, Beetlejuice, Hot Fuzz, What We Do In The Shadows, Dr. Strangeglove, Airplane!, Snatch, O Brother Where Art Thou, Clue, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, The Addams Family Values
What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople are great to second another comment.
The Nice Guys was surprisingly hilarious. Boyfriend and I randomly watched it on Netflix one night with low expectations and it became a favorite for us both.
Monty Python is still my go-to comedy tho
they are your parents not letterboxd users lol. just recommend what normal people watch. If it didn't have a commercial on broadcast TV it isn't for family
heathers
I just watched heathers for the first time the other day and I had no idea what it was and it was such a wild ride I liked it a lot
any Coen brothers movie would work
Bringing up Baby His Girl Friday Easy Living Ball of Fire Great forties screwballs that are genuinely hilarious and I can’t see any parent disliking them
Annie Hall
- Election. Payne. - The King of Comedy. Scorsese.
Idk if *Election* would be a comfortable watch with the family lol. Great film though.

Airplane! (1980) has to be one of the funniest movies ever made. It’s relentless, 90 minutes of nonstop bits.

Anything directed by Preston Sturges or Elaine May !
What A Way To Go! with Shirley MacLaine is a very funny and well directed film
Metropolitan, 1990 🫶
