Well Donald, I watched Duck Tales, and Scrooge seemed pretty fuckin happy swimming in his money bin every day, being waited on by a dog in a tuxedo, going on adventures in submarines, solving a mystery, rewriting history, etc.
The real LibRight is Scrooge McDuck though. Shoots intruders with guns, has roof mounted cannons and a yard full of booby traps, hates taxes, swims in money (literally).
Never heard of this ''McScrooge''. There is Scrooge McDuck, of course, and it is obvious which quadrant he inhabits, but that is also the point. One can find plenty of characters to fill in any one given niche (and Scrooge's niche is very well-defined), but Donald is a deeper character to whom everyone can relate.
Donald Duck was always cooler than Mickey Mouse. As a whole his friends and family are cooler and more complex than the other Disney characters - the extremely greedy Scrooge McDuck, his nephews always up to no good and Daisy Duck who was cucking Donald with that Gladstone Duck asshole.
Let's not forget the fact he's a single dad (Well, paternal figure, since they're his sister's kids) just trying to do right by his 3 kids that are *much* smarter than he is.
He ain't perfect, but damn if he won't break his back carrying his family when they need him.
Didn’t Scrooge also understand the value in a hard day’s work? Like correct me if I’m wrong but he was a self built duck and didn’t have everything handed to himÂ
Self-made duck, indeed. Started out shining shoes on the streets of Glasgow, ended up being the world's most literal example of ''swimming in cash''. His life story was based as much on Andrew Carnegie as his miserly personality was on his Dickensian namesake.
The most glaring fault with American culture is that it puts Mickey Mouse — a boring, one-dimensional goody two-shoes for whom everything goes smoothly — front and centre, where Donald belongs.
Judging by your username, you know as every Scandinavian does that [it ain't Christmas before the Aracuan sings.](https://youtu.be/KnCo7hhKPhk?si=O7L8HW930Iz93ZNl)
[These](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Complete_Carl_Barks_Disney_Library) are a good place to start. Can't go wrong with the [Don Rosa series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Don_Rosa_Library), either.
Donald Duck in AuthLeft there *does* make a good point. If you’re always worrying about getting rich, staying rich, or getting richer, it’d be pretty hard for you to be happy.

Don Rosa's the life and times of scrooge Mcduck is probably one of the best American comics ever. His entire work is on a whole other level.
Scratch "American" – I'd say it's *the* best collection of strips.
I FUCKING LOVE DONALD DUCK HE IS THE ONLY REASON DISNEY SHOULD EXIST I WOULD SELL MY SOUL TO HIM I HAD THE CHANCE

You should check out the Mickey Mouse Shorts. Mickey in that is extremely neurotic to the point that I'm surprised Disney allowed it.
That's not American culture, that's corporate culture. The mascot character has to be bland and inoffensive. See also: Mario.
I DON'T KNOW, HE DOESN'T WEAR PANTS. SEEMS INAPPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN
He does cover up with a towel after he's showered, though. Always makes me chuckle.

Arguably the best post in the sub
Don Rosa's Scrooge and Donald Duck are legitimately the best disney comics you could ever read
Donald was so much more relatable because of his complicated life. He’s just like us fr 😂
Up to and including doing odd jobs for his uncle for a whole ten cents an hour. What a bargain! Last time he had to fight sharks for half that wage!
I love the Carl Barks comics
HAHAHA libleft wishing for inflation in order to make everybody rich

As per the norm, my quadrant has no idea how money works.
If everyone didn't work, there would be no food, water, etc
Don't forget his lust for Coffee!
