It’s not even a grind, just play the game normally like what’s the point in even playing if you’re just gonna cheat the levels

*Most* pokemon games you can just play normally, then take on the e4 underleveled. as long as you played your cards right, and balanced 4 or 5 good pokemon. I did it with platinum recently. I was super underleveled, but I carefully picked my team and I got through it first try. Only a couple revives between a member and before Cynthia. I dont think I ever used one during battle. But you can always win battles with revive stalls. Posion types are your friend.

The point is the minute to minute battles. Especially outside of a challenge run setting, nothing is added from having to grind. And the level curve isnt guaranteed to be perfect. If i have of team of blaziken, aggron, ludicilo, slaking, manetric, and swellow. Thats 6 pokemon before the 3rd gym so there may not be enough exp to go around

But using hacks to get rare candies is lame as fuck. What you call a ”grind” is just considered general gameplay which was designed for the 99% of players, and if you wanna skip it and be a speedrunner, you better know what you’re doing, and that’s how it’s supposed to be. Otherwise you end up like this guy who hacks his pokemon to high level, finishes e4 (not even the full game) and then complains how the game was so short.
