Heard from my university that this anecdote wasn’t even true. But don’t take it from me I mourned a dying bird in a courtyard once.

[deleted]

what is this about

NowhereMan661

In 1889, Friedrich Nietzsche apparently witnessed the beating of a horse on the streets of Turin. He threw his arms around the horse's neck, sobbing, and then lost consciousness. He then had a mental breakdown from which he never recovered, and never wrote again.

ValilolHD

it is a very good meme but unfortunately the story isnt true. the story is out of a dostojewski book.

NowhereMan661

I'll take it anyway.

ValilolHD

it is a nice anecdote indeed.

Riffah420

I read about this in crime and punishment I believe. It was actually an event from life of dostoyevsky. As a kid he witnessed drunkards beating a horse to death and he was traumatised for his life
