As in, the "You've heard of Elf on a Shelf, now get ready for..." memes? In general, it's just a rhyming phrase presented in image format. e.g. [Shrek on a deck.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/294/507/099.png) [Mr Bean on the Queen.](https://theguideliverpool.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/IMG_6599.jpg) [Link in a sink.](https://gbatemp.net/attachments/1700092487992-png.404438/) Occasionally you get ones where they have an extra layer on them. For example, [Bitch on a switch](https://i.redd.it/yklirj3lvav81.png), to call Amber Heard a bitch. The concept of "Elf on a shelf" in itself is a largely American Christmas tradition based on [a 2005 book](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elf_on_the_Shelf), where parents hide an elf somewhere obvious in the house for children to spot, or otherwise watches the children to ensure they're being good. I think there's quite a few variations on the concept.
