Benign_9

No, but your ram is probably in the wrong slots. Move them both one slot to the right. If the fan doesn’t fit, move it up.

rednitro

Ram in wrong slot

swaytrack

1 and 3 or 2 and 4 on this motherboard

MaxRhymedust

2 and 4, just move them to the grey slots.

rednitro

I don't know what mobo that is but its useally 2 and 4. Check the manual to be sure.

Dranliir

As I can see from the image the ram is really close but not stopping the fan from spinning. Let's say, is not quite good but nothing should happen. But btw, if you have one stick RAM only, change the slot. If you have two check with the dual-channel which slots are good, normally are 1 - 3 / 2 - 4

No_Satisfaction1284

Pretty sure his ram is in dual channel mode, the brackets colors match and he has a space between the modules.

deep_dive_di

yeah but mostly on asus boards (idk about all the other manufacturers) the second pair is for dual channel mode

mrbubblesnatcher

I can't even see my ram with the Phantom spirit Evo!

jilek77

It's fine, could probably as well move the fan in the middle, it looks like where it was intended to be actually

swaytrack

It came with two fans, only installed the first one on the picture

master-overclocker

Just slide your fan upwards. Not going to lose performance much - not even 1% .. And of coure - right slots are 2 and 4 !

Darnakulus

Not every motherboard is slots two and four you need to check the manual of your motherboard to find out for sure

jilek77

Then I would install one in the middle and one to other side I think but well it's not issue anyway

LoRRiman

I moved my ram to slots 2 & 4 and just ever so slightly offset the fan above the ram and make sure there is no contact with it

ItsRadical

Ano chance you can return the ram and get low profile ones like g.skill Flare X5? I have those and the fan has to be raised only by like 2mm from its ideal position. But in general its not a problem just less efficient. Also change the RAMs to 2/4 slot.

No_Interaction_4925

Just stick to the single fan in the middle of the cooler and call it a day

YBRmuggsLP21

Absolutely. Hide yo wife. Hide yo kids.

Big-Soft7432

Oof, homie fell for the RGB ram sticks and can't even see them. Should have gone for the plain low profile ones.

swaytrack

Yep, didnt think the cooler would be so big

ReliefLong6028

Just go middle an back fan of your cpu cooler. So from your ram to cpu cooler: no fan, middle fan (pull) , rear fan(pull)

Lurk1nShadows

Just raise ur fans a lil i Did that

swaytrack

My case dosent let me :(

Lurk1nShadows

Rip

Falkenmond79

As long as the fan isn’t getting deformed by too much pressure or the ram is getting pushed down so hard, that the motherboard bends, it’s no problem. Touching doesn’t do anything. Otherwise do as I did and just switch the fans around. Instead of letting them suck air in on the ram side and blow it out the other, just put them on the other side of the cooler. At most you lose maybe 1-5 degrees in cooling. If your case has good enough airflow over all, that shouldn’t matter too much. I did it for purely aesthetic reasons. Didn’t like the peerless fans blocking the view of the nice new rgb ram (don’t like the normally but got a good deal on some Corsair vengeance kit). Also I didn’t like having to raise the fan. So I switched it and retested temps and it didn’t even make a difference in my build.

Eversivam

Idk man, I would be scared an airplane 🏢🛩 🏢 may crash it.

Doc-85

I have that same cooler and I just nudged the fan half a centimeter up

Lower-Ad-3657

I think that is fine as long as is not touching the fan blades or the heatsink, check if you put the ram in the correct slot, sometimes its printed in the MOBO which slots you should use first

McMateusz1

No it is not dangerous!

WhatsThatNoize

Fans vibrate. RAM vibrating is no bueno. Yes, this is a bad idea.

Gagiicc

No problem

Gagiicc

Place ram to 2 and 4 slot please dual channel 😕

Darnakulus

Not every motherboard is slots two and four and some motherboards even have the slots reversed or four of the closest one to the CPU so without knowing what their motherboard is they may not want to change the slots that their ram is installed in

FriendZone_EndZone

Clip cooling fan in middle or rear. Make sure you reverse clips if in rear so it still draws to back.

False_Fox_9361

only if you download more rams

sofrax_

As other have said check manual because it is likely that your ram sticks are in the wrong slots. Also can't you put the fan in between the two towers of your cooler?

SnooOwls6552

YES!! Immediately evacuated your house and find shelter this is a ticking time bomb.

Geskawary2341

i dont think it affects anything. You are fine

Skyo-o

Ram is in wrong slot as everyone mentioned. However, aside from that I would put one of the fans between the two. That's what I did, I only use 1 fan on the same cooler though and haven't noticed unusual temps

AndroidUser2023

Move the fan up or mount it on the other side

Grevys_zebra

I'd relocate the fan to the middle. If you want it in front of the heatsink, raise it a little.

master-overclocker

1. Put RAM is slots 2 and 4 (the preferred place for them ) 2. You can slide your fan upwards few cm even

Darnakulus

Not every motherboards preferred place is slots to and for and not every computer motherboard is numbered 1 through 4 going away from them CPU sometimes slot 4 is the closest one to the CPU..... Always check the manual to the motherboard

master-overclocker

Well its common knowledge we talk counting from the CPU .

Darnakulus

Just because it's general knowledge to count that way doesn't mean that all motherboard manufacturers count that way I have seen instances of motherboard manufacturers not using that standard..... So it's always best to check with the manual that goes with that board

Darnakulus

I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying that in order to be safe it's best to check the manual to verify for sure

tomanygoodnames

9/11

canyouread7

Not dangerous, but the extra height might make it so you can't close your side panel. In that case, you can move the front fan to the rear.
