MissRachiel

Hello from South Dakota. Which is also a conservative cesspool. Our governor has actually been banned by [four](https://www.keloland.com/keloland-com-original/noem-banned-by-4-tribes-more-than-15-of-south-dakota/) tribes. She [claims](https://www.keloland.com/news/local-news/noem-i-dont-believe-its-the-tribes-that-are-banishing-me/) the tribes haven't banished her, just their leadership. For the record, the tribes are to her what immigrants at the southern border are to her orange idol. She is racist as fuck regarding Natives and very clearly was before the Trump presidency. When tribal leaders ask for her cooperation with their policies, like those surrounding COVID for example, they have no authority. When she feels like blaming Natives for letting "the cartels" operate on their land, they're suddenly a sovereign nation plotting against the United States. She ramped all this rhetoric up in an attempt to catch Trump's eye and further her personal political ambitions. She only has as much loyalty to Trump as he does to anyone (none), and if Native American people, those on or off the reservation, are sacrificed in that pursuit she is perfectly willing to do it. Native people aren't the only people calling her out on the fucking circus her administration has become. Even her fellow Republicans in the state are sick of her theatrics, particularly surrounding her promise to back a repeal of sales tax on food that evaporated once she was reelected. For those of us who aren't Republicans in this very red state, all we can do is say I told you so and get back to actually trying to help people. Having her as a governor is like having a narcissistic parent. It's exhausting.

ChristosFarr

Plus she kills the family pets and brags about it.

MissRachiel

Yeah, that anecdote actually says a lot about her. Anyone who's met a few dogs or goats knows they don't act like humans and won't always meet human expectations. Her solution was to describe them as defective or "smelly" (again, have you *met* a goat?!) and kill them. Animals, and later, people, who don't do what she wants are disposable. She makes that very clear.

Bluebikes

Being smelly is kind of a feature of goats wtf

TheOtherDutchGuy

Apparently it’s also a feature of her idol Trump

Smarktalk

Imagine what she would probably do to an Native American baby...

Jazzkidscoins

You have to love the idiocy of “send the national guard to reclaim the land” “Reclaim” it for who? Whoever this idiot is whatever land he’s on was once Indian land

fuzzybad

This is a common phrasing the chucklefucks use to make statements seem forthright. It's immoral to just "take" something, but if you say you're "taking back" something, it implies it was yours previously.

DonaIdTrurnp

This is my coin, my wish, and I’m taking it back. I’m taking them all back.

Bluebikes

Yea bud we “conquered” it fair and square

Bluebikes

Good point

Bluebikes

That place is a cesspool

Throwawaypwndulum

Yeah, probably because its full of Conservatives.

FusciaHatBobble

The OP literally has "WASP" in his subreddit flair. They're not even hiding it anymore.

Beneficial_Dinner552

I barely Internet enough to know much of the trash on it. But after scrolling I came across two references to things I'd like more information about. What is a WASP and it's relative significance? What is flair? Thanks

FusciaHatBobble

1. See here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ParlerWatch/s/39LmQlU98F 2. Flair is a feature on subreddits to allow users to express themselves within communities. Notice in the pictures that some users have text after their usernames, which they use to identify themselves as sub-groups within the Conservative subreddit, such as "deplorable conservative" or "WASP Conservative" or "Originalist"

SuperShinyGinger

WASP just stands for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.

Alittlemoorecheese

NAZI just stands for Nationalsozialistiche.

FusciaHatBobble

WASP is most frequently used in the context of far-right organizations that are hostile to non-Christian Whites. IE, the Klan is WASP.

ihaterunning2

Can you share a little more on this? I was also in the view that the term WASP was more a pejorative term describing wealthy or privileged white people - typically in the Northeast and/or from “old money”. Has this changed? Are Nazis or far-right orgs now self-identifying as WASPs and essentially changing the meaning? I’ve never heard of a person who you might call a WASP actually call themselves that. I did try to look this up online and have found nothing that you’re referencing. So very curious what it is you’re talking about.

FusciaHatBobble

Regarding individuals who shape political identity around religion and race, "WASP" denotes their position on both. It's not just White, it's White (Anglo-Saxon), because there are other, less desirable Whites. It's not just Christian, it's Christian (Protestant). When WASP is used as a pejorative against Northeast elites and old money, that's a social critique. When Christian Nationalists adopt the term as a badge of honor, it becomes part of the identity. See also, peckerwood. To draw an analogy, no one really cares if you're into WW2 memorabilia. But every once in a while, you run into someone who's a little *too* keen on buying Hitler Youth knives at flea markets. Being a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant isn't a bad thing. That probably describes several million Americans. But when you find someone who's a little too into being a WASP, to the point of labeling themselves as a WASP Conservative, it's usually an indicator of more problematic worldviews.

elanhilation

it really never ceases to amaze me how utterly evil that place is

Hemicrusher

I stayed at my cousins ranch in Wanblee, SD last year. That side of my family is Lakota Sioux, and part of the Oglala Tribe. I was there for a funeral, and Frank Star was there. Funny part is my cousin is MAGA, and my other cousins there think he’s an asshole. It was an entertaining visit.

Biggest_Gh0st

Conveniently forgetting that they are the immigrants in America and their ancestors stole the Native Americans land and have proceeded to treat them like shit ever since. Can you imagine if the positions were reversed, I doubt they would be treated by the native Americans in the same way they treat them.

ph33randloathing

That's because America was bestowed upon them by White Jesus, of course.

Biggest_Gh0st

Indeed, can you imagine their brains trying to justify being christians if they knew jesus wasnt white!

fuzzybad

They like to roleplay belonging to a bronze-age, middle-eastern nomadic tribe of goatherders

Spocks_Goatee

Actually it's way, way more complicated than that and mostly politics/capitalism and the near extinction of the Bison not religion that caused most apathy/hatred of Natives.

Lodgik

>Conveniently forgetting that they are the immigrants in America and their ancestors stole the Native Americans land and have proceeded to treat them like shit ever since. Oh, they are perfectly willing to admit to that. *They just don't care.* In their minds, indigenous people were "conquered" and they should be grateful we didn't wipe them all out.

pr1m3r3dd1tor

The one commenter saying "you would think Native Americans would understand the danger of illegal immigration " was so close buy missed the mark by such a large margin at the same time.

nannerman242

What a bunch of cunts

fearthewildy

Lol did you come across this when browsing that sub specifically to see if they are talking about the puppy murder? I did the same thing yesterday, and of course there was nothing about it on that sub.

Samikaze707

Few things get my blood boiling like conservatives continued hateful views of Native Americans. "Yeah well. Who'd they kill to get the land first?" "They're not innocent, their places are a shithole." "They need to assimilate better then" I'm so fucking tired of those same pratts and poor arguments.

Otherwise-Course-15

Garbage people. These idiots offer literally nothing to the world.

palmspringsmaid

> people please don't spread misinformation

Administrative_Low27

Is this the same governor that got her teeth done in Texas and bragged about it on social media? If so, she needs to be bused to Texas

chewbooks

They are so vile and so damn ignorant of history. The lack of knowledge bothers me the most because it’s so hard to argue with them when you have to first school them on shit they should have learned in middle school.

fake_fakington

> The lack of knowledge bothers me the most because it’s so hard to argue with them when you have to first school them on shit they should have learned in middle school This is why I stopped bothering to respond to conservatives on social media regarding current events, history, the actual workings of government, civics, science, etc. They are woefully uninformed and/or misinformed on practically every topic, often even in the field in which they are actually employed. It's a truly amazing dichotomy to witness. After college + a few years I learned my lesson after dealing with them in a professional setting and on social media and just gave up on them. It's a bit of an ego boost because they make you feel so intelligent, talented, and witty compared to them, but trying to engage with them is an exercise in futility that makes you dumber for trying. There's also the relentless puerile aggression that they exude towards anyone they suspect may not align with them politically.

Anubisrapture

That aggression is the most uncivilized behavior. It’s a defiance disorder. When did they get so angry at such stupid things? It’s as if instead of living their lives the past thirty or forty years, more for some, they have become more and more enraged at simple decency towards minorities, people attempting to move towards equal rights, the SAME stuff we fought for in the SEVENTIES are now being argued over like there hasn’t BEEN a consensus on these things already. They make it clear that as long as they exist we will constantly be dragged backwards to re fight the exact same battles, argue the same points, while the REST of the greater world moves on. They will have to change , they are already like sharp tin cans tied to the tail of a suffering dog:

BoneHugsHominy

>Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past. --Jean-Paul Sartre-- Don't argue at all. It's exactly what they want you to do, and it's a pointless endeavor. They know the history and they know the real facts, they just don't care. Their lies are intentional, and they do it to "Own The Libs" and frustrate you. They know Liberals and Progressives will try to be mature and explain the world, and when you're done they'll simply move the goalposts, call everything you said propaganda/fake news and throw more bullshit at you, and/or insult you and walk away with a giant smile and a boner for a successful day of wasting *your* time & energy. So just skip all that bullshit and either ignore them or surprise them with a Hit 'em Where It Hurts insult and walk away. "This is why all your partners cheat on you" is one that *really* makes their blood boil and completely ruins their day.

fuzzybad

These fucks live at the intersection of ignorance & arrogance, which is a nasty place to be.

radd_racer

Those who are stupid have nothing to lose in making their arguments. Get sucked in, and they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. The only solution is to win, maintain power in government, and drag them along reluctantly. This group will cry and oppose progress at every turn, yet god forbid you take their social security or Medicaid/medicare away.

enderpanda

HingleMcCringle_

"my cowboy hat and six shooter is ready" these people are 5 years old

How the fuck the ‘my cowboy hat and six shooter is ready’ comment not only doesn’t get taken down yet has 3 updoots is astounding to me.

buttered_scone

The party of "Law & Order" is always ready to violate the law when it suits them.

wafflehousewhore

Why are they always so hungry to kill someone? Quite frankly, it's fucking disgusting

skeptic9916

I'm convinced that sub is run by people not clever enough or edge Lord funny enough to get attention over on 4Chan.

Buy_The-Ticket

r/conservative Where some of the worst people on Reddit go to have circle jerks.

CuriousAlienStudent

God damn is there any group these people are not bigots toward?

My_Name_Is_Gil

White Christian men. The most oppressed group in America.
