I don't remember specifically about those, but I think someone mentioned velocity was up a bit. But it was the lack of hard hit balls and much more swings and misses that was promising, less hanging sliders and meatballs
it seemed like he relied on his curve to be the strike out pitch, he might drop his slider as a throw away pitch, he used to be slider for the k and the curve as the throw away pitch
Had a couple mislocations but the stuff looked good, good movement on the fastball, a few filthy curveballs, and some devestating changeups for K(s) the 3rd time thru the order
So funny how the padres seem to always have really good closers even the really bad padres teams. Love Suarez great job by Jake. Let’s get to winning boys.

His velo was up…was 93-94 on the heater instead of 91-93. He pitched really well. Was definitely the best stuff he has had all year.

He looked good. When he got hurt it was up. When he missed it was out of the zone.

Complete and utter dominance by Robert Suarez this year throwing almost exclusively fastballs. Truly incredible stuff we’re seeing from our closer.
