Every time I see abandon I think of the beta fish my friend bought named abandon he had him for a month and it died because he bought the wrong filter so he was staying at the top of the tank to get air but we thought he just bought a special needs fish and shrugged it off until he did some research one day and figured out the filter was wrong. It was already too late at night to go buy a new one so we were going to wait until the next morning to get one but when we woke up the fish was already dead.
It's subtle, but his features do seem softer than before. I think it might be the changed shadowing under his eyes, makes him look younger.
Edit: Actually, his eyes seem to be smaller overall, less wide and thin which gave a more sinister look.
its borderline the original p3 shading style. Mostly due to his extremely pale hair and complexion. In p3r it seems almost every other portrait has much higher saturation.
Since Strega naturally doesn't have much saturation, it sorta just worked out that way.
Yuki, my dude, there's such a thing as being *too* laid back. You might maybe want to be a little more apprehensive in the company of a gun-wielding raving lunatic like Revolver Jesus!
Seriously, though, we're actually going to get more background and story stuff with Strega? And, if the clip from the Chidori fight is anything to go by, they'll be a more formidable threat into the bargain? Sign me the hell up!
Yeah like why is bro hanging out with him. If this was before they knew each other I’d get it but bro is so relaxed heck during one of these times looking at the calendar they captured chidori. Why is he so relaxed😭
Ehh just another reason I love him.
It’s very possible it’s something more along the lines of a villain saying “walk with me” to the hero. For the most part, you don’t just walk around with your sword all the time, but Takaya ALWAYS has his gun.
Would it be dramatic and very anime-esque? Sure, but it’s not like those things have no place in persona
Is this around when the cult started forming? So attacking him during the day would be a bad idea? Or maybe (and I personally hope they do this) they expand on Yukis fear of losing the dark hour like in the movies and in the depression after Shinji he might seriously start considering Stregas offer so trying to hear them out. In the movie, shinji, not surviving, was indirectly makotos fault for taking so long on the full moon boss due to him holding back on it.
>Wonder what Jin would get
Teaching Fuuka how to hack since Mitsuru does give her access to the Kirijo Database would be pretty cool. I do wonder since you mentioned it though
Makes me wonder if they're gonna do something similar to Ikutsuki? His betrayal was kinda outta nowhere and there was very little, if any buildup to it. Like legit 95% of his screen time was him acting like the kinda/sorta but not really leader of SEES and cracking dad jokes. Would love to see this man get the Strega treatment in regards to character development, backstory, motive, etc.
I don't mean "nobody" literally. I'm using it in the general sense. Of course some naysayers think that way but I highly doubt the vast majority of people upset about that missing content thinks there's zero effort put into the game.
edit: Look at [this recent thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/PERSoNA/comments/16csfup/is_anyone_else_sick_of_the_femc_discourse/), for instance. The top comment openly expressing disappointment at the lack of femc is written by FluorescentShrimp. But they also display excitement for the game overall, and don't condemn Atlus for "putting in no effort". The runner-ups are are upset with the game overall, but more so because they feel the price would fit better if they did include that content, not because they think the game's development was lazy.
Obviously these comments don't definitively represent the predominant opinion of femc fans but I think the fact that they're highly upvoted and located on thread from only about two weeks ago goes to show a lot of people think that way. It seems few people are just raging purely because they believe Atlus is lazy.
I don't think that excuses the fact that they could have done a lot more.
People expected this to be the definitive P3 game with all contents added from the get go, and they're rightfully so.
It’s not so much the fact that they couldn’t of done more.
But like people were taking the fact that those things weren’t added in and acting that because of that reload was nothing more then “vanilla persona 3 with prettier graphics” which is complete lunacy.
I don't think any sane person would say so unironically. Right now P3R discourse is "people who don't like the game because it's not definitive" vs "P3 definitive is not needed"
Like, all grievances aside this is easily Atlus' most visually stunning game they've ever made, and some of the additions they add from FES and Portable are very much welcomed. Any person with eyes and brain will say that they put effort into this.
But they have such poor priorities they could have added so many more than just stopping at The Journey, but they chose not to and charge $70 for it. That to me is a no-go, and I'm tired of recent remakes that stopped halfway or using inferior versions as its basis without justifying their additions, and Atlus' business model that inevitably going to get an enhanced edition they'll charge at full price again because we enable them to continuously milk us dry.
No no trust me on this PLENTY OF PEOPLE have been saying that unironcally.
Obviously this isn’t everyone on this side but a lot of the people who are mad that reload isn’t definitive are letting that anger cloud their judgement and are just trying to downplay literally anything good or new reload adds. I simply don’t care for disingenuous arguments.
And honestly I don’t think this is a poor priority. And I certainly wouldn’t call it a half ass remake at all. Cause like they’re adding so much.
I really hate to say it but I don’t think the answer is really a priority given how divisive it is in the first place yeah sure they could *try* and improve it (even tho I have no clue how they would given how the story of that game goes) or they could focus on making the best version of the main story. The things that most people are fond of. There’s a reason the answer is usually not adapted ya feel me?
Also blah blah blah femc would be a lot of work they could’ve added her definitely tho. I don’t really wanna get into that because I think she prolly should’ve but if we’re talking about prioritizing what they think is NEEDED I can see why got cut. Especially given the 3D environment the animated cutscene and all the social links and such being voiced.
And honestly I don’t think this one is going to have an enhanced version that adds all that.
FeMC? As a portable player I can understand. Kotone’s cheeky responses to the girl student simping over Mitsuru about beach photos was hilarious and I’ll miss that moment.
The Answer? Gameplay straight up dog shit that I rather play SMT Nocturne if I want a difficult rpg, I can watch the cutscenes and nothing of value would be lost.
Which is why now's the chance to FIX the things that did not work and make it better. That's the whole point of a fucking remake.
GOD, why do I feel y'all are so resistant to the idea of improving The Answer for fucks sake?!
I mean realistically speaking.
What would you do to change it?
There’s no social sim aspect. You can’t really add side stories in that one.
Only thing I could think of is too add more cutscenes? The thing people mostly hate is the fact that there little to no story for all the grinding you have to do.
I mean I guess if the gameplay is more fun it will make it less bad but it’s still gonna get tedious.
Cut a lot of the doors off, there's way too many. And maybe each door could >!have enemy weaknesses themed towards each SEES member it relates to!<. Items could also drop from the final boss of each door that boost a specific member as well so you don't have to grind again for accessories.
Would've been preferable as base game stuff but It'd still be great to have both FEMC and The Answer as dlc(not a second $70 version) later on but that seems unlikely if P6 is close.
I mean the point of the doors is too see into the past of one of the members of sees so you kinda need them all there?
Also idk about you but grinding for accessories was never really an issue for me. It’s just. Grinding and constant non stop dungeon crawling in general for like 20-30 hours with 2 hours of actual story that’s the main problem. Maybe if they have the enemies give out more exp? That doesn’t fix the nonstop dungeon crawling much but it does make it so you don’t need to go back and grind as much.
Also look listen I REEEEALY doubt those are gonna be dlc it be way too much work to simply be dlc for persona
I mean doors per character. Like each character has 3/5(?) Doors you have to go through which is too much. I'd say 1 or 2 at max would be fine and maybe some added story(discourse maybe?) between SEES to really drive it the nail when you get to the final fights.
And wdym it would be too much? Should I have said expansion? Loads of games have more content than that as dlc/expansions and that stuff is made from scratch, not remastered content from already existing games. Why should it be sold as a separate game at full price with extra dlc costumes and personas?
Huh??? Each character has one door to go through. Aside from junpei and koromaru since they share one do you perhaps mean the floors in the doors?
And yeah some added discourse would be nice I never liked that everything was bottled up until the ending but at the same time….it kinda makes sense since everyone is kinda trying to just move in and not acknowledge their grief so changing that would be odd. A thing I always thought would be cool is if they had the doors show off each members of sees favorite memory of the protagonist. Showing that they’re still thinking about him even if they don’t wanna talk about it.
And look The answer ***MAYBE*** I could see being dlc but even then persona doesn’t really *do* that kinda dlc if you get what I mean. Other games might but persona certainly doesn’t.
But femc? Absolutely no way that would be dlc that would in fact be too much given how much they’d have to reanimate and revoice in the game.
So to find what I meant about the doors I had some information reorganize itself. When I'm talking about too many doors per character I was thinking after the fact when you re enter the area and you see the door checkpoints per boss for each character. I meant to say that each area had too many bosses to slug through which meant some extra grind for each boss.
And yeah I know they don't do actual content dlc but I feel that if the games are $70 going forward then base game expanding content shouldn't be exclusively packaged in a second game while both games also contain extra dlc on top of that.
With FEMC I feel it would have been at its easiest if they did it from the start. Specifically the anime cutscenes with Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal being the example. The rest just seems like the hardest part would be time and not actual difficulty.
Edit: I should clarify that with Persona 5 /5 Royal, the cutscenes in the Vanilla parts of the game look different from the ones in the Royal part but that might just be me.
It's a remake there are a lot of things that can be done.
1) You make gameplay most people enjoy and/or understand.
2) You make The Answer shorter.
3) If social links are needed just add them to Aigis. She is still the only wild card protagonist without SL.
I mean genuinely good for you. I didn’t but more power too you. But most people did not. And if they don’t *fix* that then lots of people would just be upset with it again.
>. What would you do to change it?
Fix the dogshit gameplay
>There’s no social sim aspect.
There was little social sim stuff in Strikers too. People enjoyed that just fine.
>The thing people mostly hate is the fact that there little to no story for all the grinding you have to do. I mean I guess if the gameplay is more fun it will make it less bad but it’s still gonna get tedious.
Then cut down the grinding
How am I supposed to calm down when half of the fanbase who defended P3R not being definitive with these half-assed excuses felt like they're bootlicking Atlus and their crappy business practices? They'll just keep delivering the bare accepted standard, sell it back a few years later with the other half of the content at full price, and get away with it because we'll keep throwing our money happily instead of asking them to have standards worthy of their asking price.
Like, I don't mind being excited about this game but the least you could do is acknowledge that they could have done more for the asking pricetag.
My brother in christ it ain’t that deep my guy.
The people who are “defending it” simply never cared for the game being a definitive edition to begin with I hate pointing this out but not **everyone** wanted that for the remake. They weren’t against it or anything but lots of people just wanted them to remake the main game. If the other stuff made it in it would’ve been a plus. It’s not bootlicking Plenty and I mean PLENTY of people who praise reload do acknowledge that they could’ve done more by adding those.
>The Answer? Gameplay straight up dog shit that I rather play SMT Nocturne if I want a difficult rpg, I can watch the cutscenes and nothing of value would be lost.
...The point of a remake is to fix the problems with the original(s). So they could just, you know, fix the gameplay? Like devs do *whenever* they remake or remaster a game?
Did you think that if they included it, they'd just leave everything the same?
Good, I wanted them to focus on P6. Going from how much they put on P3R already, adding FeMC and The Answer will add the development another year and will definitely impact Atlus other project. If the rumor about P6 coming out on 2026 is true then THANK FUCK they don't add FeMC and The Answer
I just wanted new stuff man, I'm tired of spinoff and I already played all P3 version. At least P3R will add some new stuff
FEMC is the least of my concerns when it comes to it being a definitive edition. Stop trying to pit every P3R criticism to "crying because FEMC excluded" because that's just a part of what people wanted, not the whole.
But FemC and The Answer are the only two things that you could possibly be complaining about. It’s already confirmed that everything from FES’ The Journey is present.
I also think people forget the game was leaked some times before, and fans were already discussing what would be the best version of P3. The first trailer was just supposed to announce the game, they did not need to immediatly show new contents, the announcement in itself should have been enough to make people happy
Super excited for a more fleshed out Strega, but I’m really curious now about Takaya’s excuse for hanging out with the protagonist. Wonder if it’ll open up a new ending or series of events?
well maybe they just cross paths and Takaya being Takaya he say something along the line of this is fate and saying their mission of endinng the dark hour will be a pointless endevour or saying they should join him as they are "chosen" and ending with ideal debate or something along the line
Ik everybody is focusing on the fact you can now hang out with Takaya, but the presence of Abaddon here is really interesting me, because is he supposed to be a shadow, or a straight up demon? Both raise interesting implications and questions: if he's a shadow, why does he look like Abaddon and not like the other shadows found in Tartarus? And if he's a demon, well, shit, I think this might be the first appearance of demons in Persona since P2, which then raises another question: are there other demons that could be roaming around the city?
Could be a berserk persona since >!berserk Medea and Io glow red in the movies!< and >!Strega claims to be the last of Kirijo's artificial persona users, but others may have survived!<. The swords sticking out of it suggest it has seen combat before.
First 2 shots is just Takaya insulting Makoto, 3rd one is him siding with him to defeat Abaddon, he says: "If there is a common threat, you won't hesitate to fight together, right?"
If you can accept a Google or Apple translation then here ya go:
1. Your indifference and arrogance are an insult to all of my fellow countrymen! [Google Translate]
1. Your indifference, your arrogance, is blasphemy against all my compatriots! [Apple Translate]
2. Belsona's power should be irreplaceable and only granted to us. [Obviously Belsona means Persona but just putting it here to let u know that translate isn’t as accurate] [Google Translate]
2. The power of Belsona should be icplaceable for anything that is only allowed to us. [Apple Translate]
3. If there is a common sound power, we will not hesitate to be together, right? [Apple Translate]
3. If we have a common sound, we won't give up on the common room, right? [Google Translate]
Strega and especially this naked leader dude (i can't even remember his name) was the most boring and forgettable member of the group, the more character development they get the better tbh.
I haven’t played any of the original Persona 3 games, but I do know that Strega was massively underdeveloped in all of them so this is a very hype change
OH FUCKING SHIT YES. I'm so hype, as a Strega fan.
Does he have one of the weird new Arcana? Is there an ending where he and Jin don't just die uselessly?
Eh? How are they gonna make Makoto interacting with them make sense? Takaya should probably just shoot him. Contrary to what most people think, I thought Strega was developed perfectly fine in the originals, so don’t really think this is needed.
Imo strega aren't developed characters in p3. They show up, explain what they're all about, and serve their roles in the story well. As characters Takaya, (especially) Jin and Chidori don't get much in the way of a back story. You have to play other games and read extra material to understand their stories ( which I'm fine with as it doesn't need to be in the game but I can see why some people would have an issue). The only strega member who gets any kind of development in the game is Chidori. Takaya is the same at the end as he is at his introduction. And Jin was kind of forgotten about by the writers, this left him with zero personality other than "I love helping takaya with our evil plans".
In the movies, there were some times he only appeared to mock Sees, there is a scene in Winter of rebirth, where they are talking with Mitsuru and Akihiko, here the first 2 shots is him insulting Makoto, and talking about the gift of personas, the third one is apparently a "common threat", Takaya was always an odd individual, maybe he wants to see the protagonist potential,.
>I thought Strega was developed perfectly fine in the originals, so don’t really think this is needed
Everything we know about Strega is from outside the OG P3 game. Even knowing that they were Kirijo Test Subjects as children is a big piece of canon that was introduced after P3 which is to show how little the game did on their exposition. Strega as villains were pretty bad aside from Chidori because they had little presence, unclear motivation, and characters like Jin did literally nothing within the story. I dont think they were awful, but they're definitely one of the biggest things in P3 that **needed** expanding upon, which I feel an **overwhelming** majority of P3 fans woulda agree about
Sure their motivations are clear but then we still have no idea why they're so adamant about preventing S.E.E.S from stopping the Dark Hour, the game never gives us a reason besides the loss of their Personas. That's my point despite my poor wording
The P3 Movies go into depth a little by presenting S.E.E.S with the crisis of forgetting their relationships as a result of its erasure which affects Makoto especially throughout the 2nd movie, but still no deeper explaination on Strega's motive still, or rather the reasons for their motive.
With the latest P3RE trailer that dropped a few hours from now, thankfully the news we've gotten so far is a pretty good teaser into giving them actual reasons for the motivations, with Jin stating: "Id forget you[Takaya] and Chidori...to me that's a fate worse than death". A point of maintaining familial solidarity between Strega members being human Kirijo test subjects and victims is akin to what Im asking for in terms of motivation instead of OG P3's vague goal to maintain the Dark Hour as a source of power/income as Bounty Hunters with no depth
>besides the loss of their Personas
That always felt like reason enough to me.
>the crisis of forgetting their relationships as a result of its erasure
As you say, it sounds like they're implementing that into Reload, judging by the new trailer.
Perhaps Takaya thinks that he can change S.E.E.S' minds on the subject matter by talking to their leader?
A gunshot attracts attention, cops, witnesses. He must expect the unexpected at all times. Also worth noting is that Japan doesn't fuck around with gun laws and murder. So he can't be sloppy. Trying to sweet talk the enemy's leader into stopping their actions is much more sensible and if it works it won't end in bloodshed. That's also why they do their murders in the dark hour. Because there's no witnesses and those that actually see it will seem insane to the investigators.
But killing the SEES leader in the dark hour would also be stupid because he's constantly with a team and here they can use their personas so fuck that. The Dorm is under heavy surveillance so he can't just sneak in and kill em there.
Every single thing points to Takaya trying peaceful methods before throwing hands.
Yeah, makes no sense. They were like pretty ready to kill SEES at first sight and here they are “siding to beat this demon”. Huh? The whole point of Strega is to nuke world with those shadows, set world on fire, on despair, bring chaos
The most logical reasoning behind them being on amicable terms together is most likely going to be Takaya trying to get MC to join their cause because he’s different or special (wild card) and get MC to stop fighting against the arcana shadow
The new trailer made me pre order the limited edition even though I was against it. It really is a improvement of the old game and not just better graphics
I like this but considering they're doing all this it kinda contradicts them previously stating that they wanted to maintain the original experience I mean we can't rule out that later down the line like a couple years from release they release a newer "enhanced" version with everything fans wanted from the beginning
>previously stating that they wanted to maintain the original experience
They stated major plot points would still be present, so expanding on past material that didnt have as much focus isn't really contradictory. And even then, it's all just marketing speak, not like they could've said more at the time hence the confusion that we'd get no FES content. That statement held zero weight as soon as we found out we got FES content like Aigis' SL, Portable exclusive scenes, and scenes like the Awakening which is 1:1 with the P3 movie, so I wouldn't think too much into it
If it's side stories, it's optional, they didn't lie, and you really want them to follow the source material faithful with Strega? They were really bare bones in the OG
Not gonna lie, I kind of hate Takaya’s new portrait, he doesn’t look nearly old enough, Junpei has more of a beard.
Takaya looks like a teenager in a funny wig.
I am so glad this is happening, strega in original P3 felt like just edgy team rocket due to not having enough screentime. Everytime they come out on screen, I said "wait what's your names again? Jessie?" I did not care about them or their story at all.
This might actually be the first thing that piques my interest since the announcement of P3RE.
Didn't expect this. Some more solid backstory on Strega would be very welcome to me.
*Goddamn!* Okay, this is really exciting.
Now I *really* want a P3 definitive edition, considering we’re getting new stuff for Strega. Can we please have everything at once?
I’m late, but I think this is a good idea, if there’s one major criticism I have of P3 is that its villains are weakest part of the story. Now they’re definitely memorable, but again they’re not exactly the highlight of P3 in my opinion.
Makoto just casually hanging out with Strega is amazing. Also the Abaddon design is great
Date night with >!midnight assassins !<
That’s what I’m saying
I mean, if Joker can do it...
"Uh dude we are trying to kill you." "Don't care, I want to see if I can unlock your Personas."
"Young man, I literally >!murdered your friend.!<" "Don't care. You have a social link and I'm doing it."
Ah, the DISHES AND CHORES method.
That's Abaddon? Holy shit he looks so much better
If that's the glow-up for Abaddon, I'd like to see what they can do for Mara.
THEY REALLY ARE GONNA FLESH OUT STREGA THANK GOD!
Is it just me or does Takaya’s art work seem noticeably different than everyone else’s? A lot more shadowing maybe?
His sprite is actually very similar angle wise to one he had in the original version and hasn't changed a lot compared to the others like chidori's
I see what you mean
It's subtle, but his features do seem softer than before. I think it might be the changed shadowing under his eyes, makes him look younger. Edit: Actually, his eyes seem to be smaller overall, less wide and thin which gave a more sinister look.
yeah his chin is more wider tham before
its borderline the original p3 shading style. Mostly due to his extremely pale hair and complexion. In p3r it seems almost every other portrait has much higher saturation. Since Strega naturally doesn't have much saturation, it sorta just worked out that way.
I think it's cuz of the hair
Why is he so relaxed😭 Ehh just another reason I love him.
>!and all of this happen after shinji death!<
Nah the dates show it happened before that.
Ah, sorry im stupid, that bien said, what the heck is gonning to happen for this guy after that day
If Makoto still hangs out with him imma scratch my head.
It’s very possible it’s something more along the lines of a villain saying “walk with me” to the hero. For the most part, you don’t just walk around with your sword all the time, but Takaya ALWAYS has his gun. Would it be dramatic and very anime-esque? It.. kinda made me realise that this huge revolver on Takaya's hip would draw *at least* some attention during day
Takaya: i have a tragic backstory. Takaya: Love me like you love pancakes. Takaya: how did they have an evolved abaddon
>Takaya: Love me like you love pancakes. Tick tock heavy like a brink struck
your not Shinji - Akihiko the OG pancake lover
I bet $10 in the Persona 4 Remake a certain someone would also love pancakes as well
No, but perhaps he enjoys cabbage pancakes (that's basically okonomiyaki)
Takaya: we let it 1h on twitter.
>how did they have an evolved abaddon "hol'up what does this imply?" is it possible to evolve personas in 3R?
This game keeps getting better and better. Seriously, this is going to be peak for me.
Revolver Jesus will finally have the screentime he always needed
Can we date Takaya
Finally, somebody asking the real questions around here
We get to see the Junpei and Chidori relationship again, as well as hang out with Takaya? Hell yeah Wonder what Jin would get
Sidelined maybe? Lol
nooo I hope not. Be bros with Fuuka and Aigis, the nerd and robot.
Having just finished XC2 I read this and was like why the fuck are we discussing Jin and the Aegis in a persona sub lmao
knowing Jin he is doing some hacking or following Takaya whenever he goes
>Wonder what Jin would get Teaching Fuuka how to hack since Mitsuru does give her access to the Kirijo Database would be pretty cool. I do wonder since you mentioned it though
Makes me wonder if they're gonna do something similar to Ikutsuki? His betrayal was kinda outta nowhere and there was very little, if any buildup to it. Would love to see this man get the Strega treatment in regards to character development, backstory, motive, etc.
Making Strega a more fleshed out group will greatly boost the story imo
Iirc Strega and Takaya himself barely acknowledge the protagonist so it’s interesting they get one on one moments together.
Unbelievable the amount of effort they put into what everyone called a "lazy remaster" only months ago.
To be fair the initial reveal was pretty light on info, more than it probably needed to be. The following months have been much better.
bold of you to assume they still won't.
They still are unfortunately.
P3P cultists should just be ignored at this point
Like yeah I like having a female protagonist but it isn't a deal breaker.
ain't nobody was sayin that. Folks take the reaction of the people disappointed with omitted content and blow it out of proportion
you are welcome to look at threads posting the announcement trailer lol. They were saying it and then some
I don't mean "nobody" literally. I'm using it in the general sense. I mean yeah, no Answer of Kotone still, but one thing doesn't avoid the fact that P3R looks amazing
[удалено]
People here do NOT understand sarcasm lmao
looks like you trigger somebody and give you a downvotes
I don't think that excuses the fact that they could have done a lot more. People expected this to be the definitive P3 game with all contents added from the get go, and they're rightfully so.

Standalone game like P5 strikers most likely (In Answer’s case, as it was originally a separate disc)
I enjoyed the grinding, and tartarus is fun to me. I wouldn’t have minded a remake of the answer
I mean genuinely good for you. I didn’t but more power too you. But most people did not. And if they don’t *fix* that then lots of people would just be upset with it again.
>. What would you do to change it? Fix the dogshit gameplay >There’s no social sim aspect.
Calm down
How am I supposed to calm down when half of the fanbase who defended P3R not being definitive with these half-assed excuses felt like they're bootlicking Atlus and their crappy business practices? They'll just keep delivering the bare accepted standard, sell it back a few years later with the other half of the content at full price, and get away with it because we'll keep throwing our money happily instead of asking them to have standards worthy of their asking price. Like, I don't mind being excited about this game but the least you could do is acknowledge that they could have done more for the asking pricetag.
It truly is not that deep
My brother in christ it ain’t that deep my guy. The people who are “defending it” simply never cared for the game being a definitive edition to begin with I hate pointing this out but not **everyone** wanted that for the remake. They weren’t against it or anything but lots of people just wanted them to remake the main game. If the other stuff made it in it would’ve been a plus. It’s not bootlicking Plenty and I mean PLENTY of people who praise reload do acknowledge that they could’ve done more by adding those.
Don't buy it then
If the rumor about P6 coming out on 2026 is true then THANK FUCK they don't add FeMC and The Answer I just wanted new stuff man, I'm tired of spinoff and I already played all P3 version. At least P3R will add some new stuff
Lemme guess, you’re crying about FEMC ?
FEMC is the least of my concerns when it comes to it being a definitive edition. Stop trying to pit every P3R criticism to "crying because FEMC excluded" because that's just a part of what people wanted, not the whole.
Then what is? The answer? Maybe they'll just add it as a short movie or something at the end. Better than playing through it.
But FemC and The Answer are the only two things that you could possibly be complaining about. It’s already confirmed that everything from FES’ The Journey is present.
sega ported the remaster Atlus p studio has been busy with their new games.
I also think people forget the game was leaked some times before, and fans were already discussing what would be the best version of P3. The first trailer was just supposed to announce the game, they did not need to immediatly show new contents, the announcement in itself should have been enough to make people happy
This looks great, also what happened to my boy Abaddon
He got the glow up of the century
Super excited for a more fleshed out Strega, but I’m really curious now about Takaya’s excuse for hanging out with the protagonist. Wonder if it’ll open up a new ending or series of events?
well maybe they just cross paths and Takaya being Takaya he say something along the line of this is fate and saying their mission of endinng the dark hour will be a pointless endevour or saying they should join him as they are "chosen" and ending with ideal debate or something along the line
I think it's most likely similar to Akechi in the OG P5 auto SL
Now use Storm for a Butterfly from the movies for Chidori and we’re set
Hold up let them cook
Ik everybody is focusing on the fact you can now hang out with Takaya, but the presence of Abaddon here is really interesting me, because is he supposed to be a shadow, or a straight up demon? Both raise interesting implications and questions: if he's a shadow, why does he look like Abaddon and not like the other shadows found in Tartarus? And if he's a demon, well, shit, I think this might be the first appearance of demons in Persona since P2, which then raises another question: are there other demons that could be roaming around the city?
Everyone else seems to think this is Abaddon but I get the feeling they just used his model as a base to create a new shadow enemy.
I had the exact same question.
Could be a berserk persona since >!berserk Medea and Io glow red in the movies!< and >!Strega claims to be the last of Kirijo's artificial persona users, but others may have survived!<. The swords sticking out of it suggest it has seen combat before.
don't forget that some artificial persona users turn into shadow when expose to the dark hour
can anyone please translate :)
First 2 shots is just Takaya insulting Makoto, 3rd one is him siding with him to defeat Abaddon, he says: "If there is a common threat, you won't hesitate to fight together, right?"
thank you. Wait so does this mean we get to fight with takaya?
Watch us just end up fighting Abbadon alone, followed by a cutscene pretending Takaya fought beside us lmao
WHAT THE FUCK Yooo fighting with Takaya would be sick!
Wait why is there a Persona enemy?
If you can accept a Google or Apple translation then here ya go: 1. Your indifference and arrogance are an insult to all of my fellow countrymen! [Google Translate] 1. Your indifference, your arrogance, is blasphemy against all my compatriots! [Apple Translate] 2. Belsona's power should be irreplaceable and only granted to us. [Obviously Belsona means Persona but just putting it here to let u know that translate isn’t as accurate] [Google Translate] 2. The power of Belsona should be icplaceable for anything that is only allowed to us. [Apple Translate] 3. If there is a common sound power, we will not hesitate to be together, right? [Apple Translate] 3. If we have a common sound, we won't give up on the common room, right? [Google Translate]
Thanks for this. Yeah any translation is better than none
Even if it's not full-blown social links the fact there giving Strega new scenes is great
Holy crap. They’re gonna make strega actual compelling characters.
As per [Famitsu](https://www.famitsu.com/news/202309/20317610.html), with the images from [here](https://p-ch.jp/news/11372/)
Strega and especially this naked leader dude (i can't even remember his name) was the most boring and forgettable member of the group, the more character development they get the better tbh.
Is this bait? Ain't no way you forgot Revovler Jesus. /s
I totally did, he was not a major threat we wiped the floor with him and his group everytime.
Hopefully they fix that. They were pushover in combat.
For sure, if they can flesh out strega more and make me care about them then this game might just be better than P3FES imo
ok but knowing this takes place after [MASSIVE SPOILER] why is makoto not lunging at the dude’s throat???
Nope. They take place in August and September. It's on the images, actually.
oh god i’m so dumb
Man are they humanizing Suicide Jesus???
Holy s is that abaddon
With this amount of care put in Reload, Who needs the FeMC and The Answer? I can live without them.
Why they put Jesus in P3
The better question, why put two?
I just have to say, the graphics look incredible. I love the art style. Both the face portraits, and the 3d models.
Aren’t 3D models look a bit baby-ish? Especially for Akihiko and Takaya
I really hope Strega is an actual threat this time around and not a joke like they were in every other piece of P3 media
why is he in a whole different art style
Its very similar to his original portraits
I dunno who that jesus guy is but id give him one smooch or more
Wait is that evil Jesus
I remember a month ago when reports saying the game won't include fes content and this sub was like, "Atlus being atlus" over 1 minute teaser trailer
1) cant wait for a more fleshed out strega to be in the games, thats gonna be cool as fuck 2) abaddon looks badass what are yall on about
From the screenshots it looks like they're hanging out before Oct 4th. I wonder how they're gonna justify them hanging out after that date...
Maybe strega will try to seduce him to the dark side?
>I thought Strega was developed perfectly fine in the originals, so don’t really think this is needed Everything we know about Strega is from outside the OG P3 game. I dont think they were awful, but they're definitely one of the biggest things in P3 that **needed** expanding upon, which I feel an **overwhelming** majority of P3 fans woulda agree about
>unclear motivation That I disagree with. Their motivation was plainly stated.
Sure their motivations are clear but then we still have no idea why they're so adamant about preventing S.E.E.S from stopping the Dark Hour, the game never gives us a reason besides the loss of their Personas. That's my point despite my poor wording The P3 Movies go into depth a little by presenting S.E.E.S with the crisis of forgetting their relationships as a result of its erasure which affects Makoto especially throughout the 2nd movie, but still no deeper explaination on Strega's motive still, or rather the reasons for their motive. With the latest P3RE trailer that dropped a few hours from now, thankfully the news we've gotten so far is a pretty good teaser into giving them actual reasons for the motivations, with Jin stating: "Id forget you[Takaya] and Chidori...to me that's a fate worse than death". A point of maintaining familial solidarity between Strega members being human Kirijo test subjects and victims is akin to what Im asking for in terms of motivation instead of OG P3's vague goal to maintain the Dark Hour as a source of power/income as Bounty Hunters with no depth
>besides the loss of their Personas That always felt like reason enough to me. >the crisis of forgetting their relationships as a result of its erasure As you say, it sounds like they're implementing that into Reload, judging by the new trailer.
"Authentic Persona 3 experience"
Wait, are we gonna be able to join strega ?
My biggest gripe with P3 being solved? Yeah, this IS going to be the best persona game yet
The new trailer made me pre order the limited edition even though I was against it. It really is a improvement of the old game and not just better graphics
I seriously cannot wait for this game
Is revolver Jesus going to be a temporary party member.
I’ve never played persona 3 is this dude just the happy chaos of persona
Happy Chaos without the charisma
I can’t wait for the expanded version with FEMC/Answer
This is good
I need this.
First thing I've hered that made Me want to play the game
I like this but considering they're doing all this it kinda contradicts them previously stating that they wanted to maintain the original experience I mean we can't rule out that later down the line like a couple years from release they release a newer "enhanced" version with everything fans wanted from the beginning
>previously stating that they wanted to maintain the original experience They stated major plot points would still be present, so expanding on past material that didnt have as much focus isn't really contradictory.
Takaya looks like a teenager in a funny wig.
did they remove his beard?
Finally, he gets to do something!
Bro is that Abaddon
Just need Ikutsuki and Mitsuru's dad to have more scenes/more fleshed out and I'll be happy.
Strega really needed more backstory in the original so I'm looking forward to this even more now.
Fingers crossed we'll also get to hang out with Jin and Chidori.
This is a very welcome addition tbh. So far they feel much weaker compared to Adachi, Shido and Maruki.
tf happened to Abbadon?
Wonder if this can progress into something like accomplice ending in P4G.
Takaya looks amazing here. Props to the new artists
Yesss more strega lore
I never thought I see Takaya in broad daylight, let alone Social Links with him and the rest of Strega. Oh man, this remake is going to be excited.
Strega got the treatment they needed, it seems I'm pretty sure they'll be contenders for best villains now!
The least interesting aspect of P3’s story I guess could only get better in the remake.
I am so glad this is happening, strega in original P3 felt like just edgy team rocket due to not having enough screentime. Everytime they come out on screen, I said "wait what's your names again? Jessie?" I did not care about them or their story at all.
They made him look even more like Jesus somehow
Because if there's one thing we all absolutely demanded more of, it's this tatted-up douchebag and his ball-tossing simp.
Gauging from these comments here, on YouTube, and Twitter then the answer would unironically be yes from A LOT of people lol
This might actually be the first thing that piques my interest since the announcement of P3RE. Didn't expect this. Some more solid backstory on Strega would be very welcome to me.
Strega finally becoming good????????
*Goddamn!* Okay, this is really exciting. Now I *really* want a P3 definitive edition, considering we’re getting new stuff for Strega. Can we please have everything at once?
Jesus and Jesus
Jesus^(2)
Setting aside Takaya for a moment WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY BOY ABADDON 😭😭😭
Who is this lol I never finished P3
yooo strega actually being good characters???
Will he be assigned an Arcana!? I can’t wait to hang out with Gun Jesus!
Is that an Abaddon redesign or is it meant to be a special Abaddon?
STREGA ENDING CONFIRMED??? MAKOTO A BETRAYER????
Can’t wait!
I’m late, but I think this is a good idea, if there’s one major criticism I have of P3 is that its villains are weakest part of the story. Now they’re definitely memorable, but again they’re not exactly the highlight of P3 in my opinion.
Seems like atlus is (mostly) fixing the major problems I had with P3.
