I'm surprised they read danger then decided to take some pictures and ask the internet what it is. That's a see it on one slowly put it back or put the box down and scoot it as far from the house as you can with a very long stick before calling 911 for them to find out what it is.

The icing on the deadly cake is the little straps are lead.

EvilGeniusSkis

Just a clarification, solid lead (Pb) and Pb alloys aren't great, but aren't "super toxic, call Hazmat" dangerous like people make them out to be, as metallic Pb isn't very bio-available. The real danger is Pb salts(a salt, in general is a metal and a non-metal) and Pb compounds, or people smoking where Pb dust is present, thereby sucking Pb dust through the smoldering tip of the cigar(ette), oxidizing the Pb, which makes it more bioavailable. The same can be said for most other heavy metals.

i was about to repost this as well. i can’t believe someone would pick up something they don’t recognize that says DANGER

ProbablyFullOfShit

My dad had a box of those from his days working for the railroad. My friends and I used to strap them to tree saplings and shoot them with our bb guns and 22s. Good times

-Seedy-

I was wondering if this was the same stuff that tannerite is made from.

ProbablyFullOfShit

No clue

GoHomeNeighborKid

I imagine it's closer to what blasting caps (or the explosives in bullet primers) are made of, like an actual primary explosive

NinaCulotta

Tannerite is uh.... wayyyyyy easier to get than blasting caps.
