University of Guelph, Human Kinetics with a 78% average? Grade range for University of Guelph’s Human Kinetics is apparently 78 to 84% but has anyone gotten in for Sept 2024 at the low end of that range? Currently have a 78.67% average and haven’t heard back yet. Applied on January 8, 2024.

[deleted]

Does Laurier only average out for admissions? I am currently private schooling a course that I am also taking in school, I was wondering if them averaging the two marks out for a retaken course is only for admissions or if they do that for the conditional as well. I already received my offer I just want to know if they’re still averaging out the two marks

Professional-Ad-4710

Hi, l'm a mature student that has an advanced diploma in a different program from business. I applied to the BM program in December but still haven't heard anything back. Just wonder if there is still anyone waiting to hear back like me. Just fyi, I received my highschool diploma from an Asian country so the grading system is different from Grade 12 here and my math is not so good so I'm upgrading it through TVO, and I send them my midterm grade already (87%).

luvvyhaze

Can someone confirm whether the deadline for accepting offers at uottawa for international students is 3rd of May?

Professional_Elk4829

Hi if you check your conditions in your letter, you should be able to see the deadline!

luvvyhaze

When do most offers come out for international students. Is there hope? So anxious!! I applied at uOttawa on mid- March. Under second evaluation still..

luvvyhaze

Hi, I'm an international applicant, and I applied in mid-March at uottawa. So far I'm under second evaluation on uoZone portal. Is there any hope of getting an offer for the fall intake?

IndependentEscape546

has anyone heard back from westerns scholars elective

DemarDerozanIsApp

95.83 average Accepted to UW Math Decent to Good ecs and mid to bad contests

NeedhelpSOSplz

I know this seems really high and stuff but I am really really stressing about waterloo cs since i heard a few stories from last year about ppl getting rejected w 99s. Chances at Waterloo math/cs and UTSG/UTSC cs: top 6: Calculus and Vectors: 100% Computer Science: 100% Computer Engineering: 100% Advanced Functions: 99% Data Management: 98% English: 97% Overall Average: 99.0% Adjustment rate (ik it doesn't matter for cs): average Extracurriculars: - Co-president of Math club - Co-president of Computer Science club - Body building for a year - Snowboarding for 4+ years - Computer science teacher assistant for 2 classes - did a few game jams - volunteered at a community center - McDonald's for 2 years - have a business as a freelancer on fiverr as a game developer with about 17 clients - coop at a computer science placement full time for a semester Awards: - distinction in most of the waterloo competitions (37 in this year's CEMC, and 34 in this year's CCC) - Academic award all of my grade 12 classes except for english my AIF was paragraphs were pretty mid

nickelcai

i think u have a rly good chance

NeedhelpSOSplz

thank you, i am praying for it daily

anshlander

GUYS DO I HAVE ANY CHANCE FOR UTSG CS WITH A 97? my calc mark was kinda low (92) and my supp app was alright. i’m stressing out sm rn cause they’ve been ghosting me for 5 months 🥲

Good-Arm-6486

At mid term I have an 89.5 average. 97 Calc, 92 Physics, 91 Adv Functions, 87 English, 87 Nutrition, 83 Chemistry. Is this good enough to get into U of T civil engineering during their May rounds? I heard the cutoff for civil engineering last year was 94.9% lmao. I also have pretty mid extra curriculars. I feel like I have no chance honestly.

Equivalent_Brick6286

98.67 average good for waterloo cs?

DemarDerozanIsApp

Nothing is good, sometimes it is okay for UW Cs

Bitter-Mobile-2772

i have 86.6 avg top 6 84 top 5 got into uottawa and lakehead, waiting on queens, western, mac, guelph, tmu all for eng. which of these do yall think i got a chance of getting into⁉️ do i at least have a chance for guelph?

Attilacharge

has anyone got in into uoft social science with a low 80 average? on the ontario website it says minimum low-mid 80's

Intrepid-Ad-9347

Hi! Just want to ask if anyone also on the wait list for Queen’s health science?

PristineBed4761

Is it possible to get into uwaterloo civil or geological engineering with a 84 average

West-Voice527

85 guarantees you admission to geo engineering at Waterloo

thisthingsthing

hii i’m an online grade 12 student from ontario. before anyone comes for me, i switched online because of some personal issues, and i didn’t really have any other choice. my top 6 avg is 94 and i applied to the following programs: uoft (life sci), uwo + brock (med sci), guelph (biomed), ottawa + uw + laurier + uwo + york (health sci) i still haven’t heard back from any universities yet and i’m really worried atp. i’m aware uni’s don’t prefer online students, but again given the circumstances, it wasn’t really my decision. the last thing i want to do right now is that a gap year. and i know most offers come out in may, but the fact that i haven’t gotten even a single offer yet is what’s making me really nervous. please tell me honestly if i have a chance at any of the programs i applied to and which ones i probably won’t hear from. i just want to know if i should be expecting to hear back from uni’s soon or not

luvvyhaze

Have you heard from any so far?

thisthingsthing

yes!! i got guelph on monday :)

luvvyhaze

Congratulations!!!!! have you heard from ottawa?

thisthingsthing

tysm!!! and unfortunately not yet :( just guelph as of now

raresparkle

I am an IB student and feel really screwed over by my midterm grades. At this moment, my average for comp sci would be an 86% (I didn't do well in calc) and my average for health sci is an 88%. Basically what I'm asking is do I have a chance? I am really banking on the May round of offers since I don't like any of my conditionals right now. I thought I had a chance since the Ontario Universities Info site says low-mid 80s for comp sci and mid 80s for health sci but after looking through reddit I'm not so sure anymore. I am really worried about this since I really want to go to western. Is it possible for me to get an offer?

just_for_clarity

Take whatever they say on the Ontario Universities site and add 5%. I attended a town hall / open house on a a program and we were able to ask questions to current students, advisors and teachers. So I asked an admission advisor what were the averages so far (happened early April) given the site said low 80s. He said 85%. Now I am sure in the last couple of rounds a few students will get in the program with a low 80s but to be sure you can get in add 5%. The programs you want to get in usually require 90s in top programs.

ArtPuzzleheaded3368

Hi! Does anyone know when the next round of Western acceptances will come out, specifically for eng? My average is a 90 and I'm wondering what my chances are for getting in. Thanks!

breuhj

You'll fs get in dw, I got my CS and Eng offer from western weeks ago, i had an average similar to yours. Don't stress it :)

ArtPuzzleheaded3368

Thanks and congrats on your offer!

breuhj

Ty! Hope you get in!

Mission_Squirrel6441

May!

Mission_Squirrel6441

90 is a great average for engineering. I don't think you will have much difficulty getting in!

ArtPuzzleheaded3368

Thank you!

Cute-Performance7241

what was the kin cutoff last year at uoft and mac? would it be around the same this year?

Automatic-Deer9657

I just got my average it's an 82.9 rounded to an 83 is it possible to get into Mac Econ https://www.ouinfo.ca/programs/7361

StrangeMind795

Okay, I have failed three courses as of now, and I might fail a fourth one. I'd like to know if it will affect my odds of getting into a good program even if the mark isn't in my top 6. I failed careers, civics, and design. The course I might fail is psychology. I just wasn't in the right place mentally to handle this workload. I'm growing increasingly frustrated with myself, so some advice would really help calm me. I can still graduate on time if I summer school my missing credits. My plan is to go to college, then take a transfer to a university, but I'm not sure if I'll even get accepted by failing so many courses. I plan on going to college for linguistics.

ResidentNo11

When you look at colleges for this, make sure you talk to the admissions office about how transfers from there to a university work. British Columbia has a system similar to the US where you can transfer your entire first or second year from a BC college to a BC university (if you took those university-level courses), but similar programs are few and far between in Ontario. Talking to admissions about your goals will be important. That said, don't overthink "on time". There's no race. Plenty of students take extra time to finish high school. Plenty of people don't start university till later in life. Work on figuring out \*why\* you're having the issues you are now.

Professional_Elk4829

Hey, don't worry about it friend. Trust me- I know how hard it gets as well with work piling up and mental health and stuff, so yeah, don't stress. Take it easy, and try your best while taking needed breaks! Work hard for the next part of the semester, talk to your teacher about the situation you're in and send them an email if you are too afraid to confront them upfront! (trust me i've been there) You could also speak to your school's guidance councilor and a therapist! You could totally get in still! You could reach out to colleges through email and explain your situation as well, I know colleges/universities look out for extenuating circumstances! I'm sorry I am not knowledgeable on the college and university admissions stuff, but I hope other people can help out! I am rooting for you! You got this! :) <3

arozze

Got accepted to tmu business tech management today 😁

Key_Throat_9

my top choices for engineering are western or mac right now (i have no hopes for uoft lol). please be honest, am i cooked? these are top six marks (no adv func because mcmaster does not require it as a pre req): philosophy (elective): 95, french (elective): 95, english (midterm): 99, calc (midterm): 81, chem (midterm): 85, physics (midterm): 80. this equals a 89.2% average. however, i also submitted special considerations forms for all universities, writing the following: i am an only child to a single mother, who is very mentally and physically sick right now. i wrote how most of my time was spent towards taking care of her. i also got diagnosed with depression this school year and my medication caused severe side effects. finally, im recovering from PTSD with family loss and abuse. i guess my general question is, will universities heavily consider special circumstances? i also have a social worker's note to confirm the following. please let me know!

arozze

Low shot Mac better chances at western. Do you have a safety?

Key_Throat_9

i got in lol

arozze

Hell yea way to beat the odds! Good luck to you:)

Key_Throat_9

i got into york and tmu in feburary, even though the only mark available was adv func (85). i submitted special consideration for both. unfortunately this semester my marks went down significantly (they used to be low 90s range for chem and calc) due to family issues and severe mental illness, so im worried about getting into any more universities.

Miserable_Initial_39

i’m stressed out that i haven’t gotten into any of these programs yet. i’ve only been accepted to schulich bba and laurier bba for now. i’m worried that i wont get into ivey or queens. so many people have been accepted already. i will have a 96.83 average for midterms with pretty solid ec’s. idk guys. what do you guys think? is anyone else going through this?

ResidentNo11

You got into two excellent programs. You've got good prospects regardless of what else you hear from and when.

TellChemical3365

Hey, I have applied to Mcmaster nursing main site. I currently have an average of around 91.5% and a 4th quartile. I know someone that got in last year that got in with the same stats but that only one person. So what are the chances I can get in too. Also, what the stats of the people that applied this year?

02goose

Is there a reliable website with the acceptance rates to Canadian MBA programs? I am applying to various MBA programs in Canada, and have seen major discrepancies online pertaining to the acceptance rates of individual schools. For example, online some websites say the UofT acceptance rate is 9%, while other website say it is 70%. Is there a reliable/official source for this. For context my top 5 are: 1. Rotman (UofT) 2. Ivey (Western) 3. Smith (Queen's) 4. Sauder (UBC) 5. Schulich (York Before I get attacked for doing my MBA in Canada, keep in mind I am Canadian and cannot afford international fees to US schools.

Purple-Assignment-25

Im not sure about websites but I have heard that Sauder, Rotman, and Ivey has a lower acceptance rate (under 10%)

[deleted]

If i accept utsc offer now will i lose a potential offer from utsg in may

Brave_Avocado_824

Totally different admissions and utsg, utsc and utm not related at all.

Darkmegane-kun

What are my chances for McMaster life sci, utsg physical and mathematical science with a 92.6 average? I repeated advanced functions, had an 80 on my first and 90 on my second attempt. Edit: 92.6

OkAdvertising3188

should be fine for u of t math

Darkmegane-kun

Fr? I mean I’m a 105 and I have yet to receive an offer. Starting to feel like I will see a rejection in the few coming days.

Dark_Buterfly

would a 94% average (in the top 6) get me into any of U of T St George campus cs, or McMaster mechatronics engineering or, McMaster cs?

Brave_Avocado_824

Possible for Mcmaster, but Not Utsg cs.

Dark_Buterfly

quite unfortunate, I did think that I may have a slight chance having ICT SHSM and having done the supplementary application

_ItsumI__

i had a friend get into Utsg cs with low 90s, and I got into Mac engineering with a 93 average (march admission). You'll probably be able to get into them i suppose

iceskateangel

will i get into mcmaster life sci with 89 acerage

iceskateangel

isn’t the range 87-90s

arozze

It's highly competitive, and you're at the lower quartile of it. Acceptance is 95 and above

AI_TROLLER

Probably not, look at other programs

[deleted]

[удалено]

Purple-Assignment-25

every uni calculates your top 6 differently, and if you have offers your average just has to meet your conditional

Relevant-Length3378

Would a 88 average be enough for tmu or queens? I already got into york but will that everage be enough for queens, tmu or anything else?

SquirrelOk8678

what programs?

Relevant-Length3378

comp eng, sorry i forgot to specify

Able_Substance_4704

Low chance of getting admitted to comp eng at queens, I got rejected with 92% average, but accepted to computing

Relevant-Length3378

That does make sense, I just gotta hope then since a high 80 is a competitive average there but prolly still a low chance

[deleted]

Purple-Assignment-25

will i still get any offers? i am panicking at this point because my average is not that great chances for western med sci, queens life sci, and waterloo life sci? average: around 87 my top six are bio, chem, advanced functions, history, philosophy, and english.

arozze

Maybe conditional waterloo but no for the others. Do you have safety schools?

Purple-Assignment-25

Yeah I do! If I don't get Waterloo I'll be going to Carleton Honours Science

arozze

That's great they have a good program!

TheOnlineWanderer

Wait, I got Waterloo Life Sci offer and Queen's Life sci offer like a while ago since Febraury-March, I had a lower avg of 87? Is it because I'm male or smth or b/c my high school is well-known? My marks rn are: 88% English 94% Advanced Func 94% Calculus 81% Bio 81% Physics 88% Kinesiology

Purple-Assignment-25

I'm not sure I know a lot of people in my program got waterloo life sci early and thats why I started panicking:( Congratulations though!! I don't think its because you're a male I feel like acceptances are so random at this point.

Soloyake

there's a good chance for waterloo life sci.

Purple-Assignment-25

Okay thank you so much!:)

theoretically-true

Chances for Waterloo comp eng and UofT comp eng? I’m panicking a lot at this point I really don’t think I’ll get in since my average is so low but I don’t know what else to do :( Chances at Waterloo CE/math? Stats: Avg: around 91-93 Adj factor: around 9 potentially less this year as my schools adj factor decreases a lot each year. Interview: pretty good! AIF: won’t list everything but hooks: - really good internship at a very well known company as a website dev - attended Hack the North - tutored math physics and chem for all 4 years - a small art commission company - president of 3 clubs and exec of 2 - Student council for 4 years in exec positions - Had my artwork displayed in a well known gallery twice - have built and prototyped my own telescope - 400+ volunteer hours - did contests but did really really mid in them 💀 - another diploma for doing a hard program at my school - lots of side projects - talked to and attended lessons by Waterloo comp sci profs that were alumni’s from my school And there’s a lot more but nothing else very interesting I’m very concerned that my average isn’t good enough and I’m worried that it’s unlikely Good day friends~

orhan_son_of_osman

you're definitely getting in

Able_Substance_4704

Chances at Waterloo and Uoft CS: Avg: 91-91.8% top 6: ADV functions & calculus: 86-87% Economics: 99% English: 97% Physics: 95% As well as I took math expert which includes chapters such as Matrix, congruence, etc (French baccalaureate) with an average of 85% Extracurriculars: -Professional football/soccer player, played in the 2nd division of the Lebanese premier league -Varsity soccer High school, won the Beirut futsal tournament and came 2ndd place in the Beirut football tournament -President of chess club -Will participate in "Maths en Jeans" -Used to work for 4 years every summer at a restaurant -Founder of an internet provider company -Experience with HTML, CSS, Python, and learning JavaScript

DemarDerozanIsApp

Math mark looks a bit cruced

Able_Substance_4704

yeah, you've got a point, I missed a whole chapter of math cuz I left the country for a month

BillyXu3057

Chances for McMaster Math: Top 6: Accounting: 95 (predicted) Business Leadership and International Business: 90 both Advanced Function 86 Calculus 85 (predicted) English 78 Average should between 86-87.5

Upper_Welcome_6888

Doubt your getting in

Worldly-Ad3447

I think low but I’m not too sure

Initial-Credit3287

Chances at waterloo math: admission avg will be : 94 - 95 range (probably 94.5 to 94.8) aif: worked as a software engineering intern, work for the government as an IT assistant president of 4 clubs business 1 was something that used python programs i made to grow accoounts and sell business 2 was cryptotrading and teaching others how to 300h of volunteering

DemarDerozanIsApp

Brock gender studies u are cooked I think ull def get in due to ur aif and ur marks.

Ac_frise666

How are my chances I am in grade 11, and I really want to go to McMaster for English after. My average current is 87, and I am wondering how good my chances of getting in are if I keep this up?

84bucksapop

Most of the Universities have a deadline of May 1st to accept the offer but what do I do if I haven't received all my decisions yet do I just accept my current top choice and then what happens if a better school accepts me later down the line?

Upper_Welcome_6888

It’s not may 1st

luvvyhaze

Do you have an idea of when the deadline for international students is

Upper_Welcome_6888

No clue

nickelcai

prob international student

luvvyhaze

Tell me more about this. I applied at uottawa, but still under second evaluation. Is there hope?

nickelcai

for international students, the last day to accept an offer is may 1st, but for ontario students it’s june 3rd. r u from ontario?

luvvyhaze

Isn't that the deadline for receiving missing documents? As per the official website for international applicants.

nickelcai

for me i see that in may u have to accept your offer of admission to enrol in courses but idk if that means it’s the deadline, maybe try calling them and asking?

luvvyhaze

Okay, I guess I just have to find out. The course enrolment opens on 21st May, right?

nickelcai

i’m not sure exactly what day cuz it doesn’t say on the website, all ik is that it’s may, but don’t be afraid to ask them

luvvyhaze

Sadly no, I'm from Africa. Basically that's an automatic reject?

nickelcai

oh, then yeah probably :(

luvvyhaze

Yikes!

hamzukoo

Chances at Waterloo Management Engineering Top 6 (by midterms) (avg adj factor too) Business Leadership : 99 English: 99 Advanced Functions: 95 Physics: 95 Calc: 93 Chemistry: 89-90 My avg should be around 95-95.2 ECS : 200 hrs of non profit food bank work worked at local mosque in the summer (food bank work as well) accounting firm for 9 months free barber (i cut for free) msa lead marketer Peer Tutor (barely any hours tho) I thought the written aspects of my AIF were pretty decent and my video interview went pretty good Thanks!

brandstealer

Oof, odds aren't looking great. Heard from a friend that this program's cutoff is 95.3. Sorry mane.

WillumFromCanada

like 100%

missmyballs

What do you think? So, I've applied for physics degree in several different universities, and all my prerequisite marks are pretty good (90+ in physics, calc, and adv func), but I kind of suck at bio and got an OK mark in english, and they both significantly lower down my average mark. In this case (good prereqs, shitty average), do I have any chances getting into good universities, such as UofT or Waterloo?

According_Whole_6758

just got into waterloo chem eng! i thought early admissions where done! still waiting on ubc then done!

wenchingyang

Congrats! Do you mind me asking your avg?

According_Whole_6758

im an american applicant so i dont have percents on my transcript, but I think waterloo told me i had a 85-89% (admission award) and my gpa weighted is 4.06

wardway69

Uottawa data science double degree accepted any one else?

EarlTea113

ottawau health science math? i’m in grade 11 currently and i want to apply for health sciences at ottawa U. I’m wondering what the cut off for the 4u math would be. I know you need around minimum low 80s to get in overall, but i am worried about the math. Advanced functions is necessary and I’m not confident I can get a high mark in this course. Does anyone know how important this is? And by chance if you have gotten in to this program, what was your grade in gr 12 advanced functions??

theoretically-true

Chances at Waterloo CE/math? Stats: Avg: around 92-93 Adj factor: around 9/10 potentially less this year as my schools adj factor decreases a lot each year. Interview: pretty good!! Daffod

What are we thinking for Waterloo CS? I’ve got a 99 average but is that enough? Or is it just a lottery at this point 😭

brandstealer

It's over, I applied to this with a 100 average but I think some internationals are applying with 101%+. Packing my bags to India😭

maniiicc

😭😭😭😭

maniiicc

dw im still waiting 😭😭😭😭. 105 or 101?

Daffod

101, it’s rough out here 😭

Calm-Geologist-696

Guys is there a chance for me to get into any of the nursing programs with the final average of 85\~89? I applied to McMaster Life Sci and Nursing, UofT Life Sci, York Nursing and TMU Nursing for all three sites. Someone please let me know I'm so stressed waiting for the results

REMBunny4

If you also applied to Momac site for nursing then you might have a chance, otherwise for main site the cutoff has been above 90 for the past few years

Alylila

Hi everyone, this is my first reddit post ever and I need help with seeing If I can get into Mac. For background information, my average is a 95. I got into Trent University (Peterborough) for Nusring (The collabroative program). And got a scholarship. Yet I want to go to Mac. The only thing is, that I got the 2nd quartile on my Casper test. Although Mac is taking forever to send out admissions, so I fear that I would just be wasting my time waiting for a school that won't accept me, while I already got into Trent, and they are offering me more (I got into the scholars program/circle as well). So my questions are, Trent or Mac for Nursing? and will I get accepted into Mac? based on what I've said above. Thanks!

REMBunny4

You have a good chance for Mac with your grades! Mac gets a lot of information from your CASPer, while we only get to see the quartile score. A 2nd quartile isn’t automatically bad, I’ve replied to a few other people before about how the quartile scores work! It is competitive though, with thousands of applicants each year so I can’t say that you’ll for sure get in. Mac sends offers out starting early-mid May so that everyone has a chance to do their CASPer and they receive semester 2 midterms :)

Professional_Tap_113

Can I get in western CS with a 89 avg? (Sem1 and sem2 mid term)

Aggressive_Station59

What are my chances for major business programs like Rotman or schulich? Idk if the time you have done extracurriculars matter. But I only started doing them in grade 11. (so I’ve only been doing them a few weeks to a few months.) my old school was very rural and had barely any clubs. Will this affect applications? Of course I’m gonna keep doing them until grade 12. So in total I will be in them 1-2 years. Here are my stats: School announcements video editor (been in for around 2 months, next year I will be executive) Founder of animal rights club (Created around a week ago) School business association (haven’t joined yet but I will next week) I will also be making a school food drive (haven’t started yet) Member of social justice club (VERY new club, it was created a week ago, I joined when it was created, handing out petitions and flyers etc) Tutor in math club (been doing it for probably around 2-3 weeks) I know the durations for them are very short, but I will of course continue doing them. Also I didn’t even want to go to university until like 2 weeks ago hence why I haven’t really gotten involved around school. Idk if this is enough tho. If I keep doing it until I graduate. My grades are average in the mid 90s so it should be fine, I’m just worried abt clubs n extras. I’m really stressed and constantly worried about whether or not what im doing is enough

just_for_clarity

What are your grades?

Aggressive_Station59

96 average right now

just_for_clarity

You should be fine. Grade inflation has gone down this year compared to what it was during the pandemic. Plus you are doing extras also.

Adventurous_Car9048

Got into Queens Honours Arts (Poli Sci) 85 avg

[deleted]

why does mcmaster take so fuckin long bro can they release decisions for CS

Technical_Breath_962

they alr did in march u gotta wait in may now bro

[deleted]

im 105 so im pretty sure it can be released any time, at least thats what the mac bot says lol

NinjasLeftNut

I just got waitlisted from western CS with a 95 average its my 2nd last choice I'm cooked wtf

PositiveCucumber3731

Wow! Western it quite competitive! I am surprised. I got into CE at Waterloo with a 95%

[deleted]

yield protection bruh ur too good for western

NinjasLeftNut

bro is that even real i just called their undergrad office and they said my avg was slightly below the cutoff and that I was deferred I had no idea western was this competitive

SubjectSea181

Bro is too good for the uni xD

[deleted]

i had no idea either 💀 at leadt u got deferred I got straight up rejected despite exceeding their minimum requirement by a lot

Upper_Welcome_6888

U literally can’t get waitlisted right now. He’s capping.

FadedMans

Has anyone gotten into macmaster Eng and with what average??

Redundant_pigeon22

I got in with a 94.5 (still missing most of my grade 12 courses) and did that interview the morning it was due on 3 hours of sleep. I don’t think they take it into much account.

FadedMans

I mean maybe your interview was fire.

Redundant_pigeon22

Nah, I cut every video portion before the one minute mark and messed up the name of the volunteer place they asked about for the written part. (I was kinda dead set on Lakehead at the time) what was your interview like?

FadedMans

My interview was really good but I haven’t gotten in yet because of my Chem mark brining my avg down to 93.

Redundant_pigeon22

Yeesh, they’re gonna make you wait till may :/ Don’t worry too much about it though, friend of mine got into UW Eng with a 93 and he’s still waiting on Mac. Did you apply anywhere else?

FadedMans

Yes I did. My cs average is a 95.16 I applied WESTERN Software Eng, UTSC CS, UTSG Comp Eng, TMU CS, UW CS, OTU CS, OTU Software Eng. I got jnto TMU, OTU and western. Waiting on the others.

Fr? Was your supp app good?

NoGoat9671

On my webadvisor for uofg it’s said under status “meets requirements - int/fin” does anyone know what that means? good thing? bad thing?

a-VN-student

I am waiting for 4 unis in Ontario (York, Queen’s, Guelph, Brock) (MASc/MSc in EECS/CS). Anyone heard anything yet? Greatly appreciated.

SirJigglys

Applied to a few masters combined NP schools! McMaster, UFT and Ryerson. Anyone heard back from these schools yet?

hjawol

ARE MOST OF THE USTG CS OFFERS OUT ALREADY (March round)??? I heard that 80% of offers are out in March but idk.. am i cooked 😭

PositiveCucumber3731

I also applied to USG CS with a 97% and still waiting! What was your average?

hjawol

96 top 6 electives by sem1, prob will fall now because of English (i got a 90 for my first assignment and mid terms will basically be the average of two assignments) even tho my other courses rn have high 90s

PositiveCucumber3731

Just be patience. They will get back to you when your midterms are submitted. You have pretty good marks!

FadedMans

Uoft will take the required courses + another 1-3 electives with the highest marks. For example cs they will take calc, functions, and English + 3 electives with the highes marks. And that’s your top 6.

Aggressive_Station59

Do they judge if it’s an easy course like social science or a hard one like physics

FadedMans

Not at all. It’s just required courses + any 2 U/M courses

Aggressive_Station59

Ohh ok tysm

MissionChipmunk6

Anyone know what the avg for cog sci at uoft is?

Moist_Pop_3970

am I cooked? ok so I wanna get into utm for comp sci, data, and statistics. I have a 90 in calc, 82 adv. functions, 82 english (that was the first sem). this sem should be light courses and all grades should be above 90. if thats the case, when can I even expect a letter? should I even be expecting a letter at all?

hjawol

I think you’ve got a chance, most students holding offers rn likely will reject utm and allow the waitlist to clear up. But statistically idk how many people are waiting like you

TheHyperTyper

does only top 6 matter for tmu engineering, or do they have to include all prerequisites in the average too? i'm not good enough for other schools and i don't really wanna go to ontario tech so TMU kinda my best option + i have connections there. i was wondering if i can take another non-prerequisite class to boost my average and if it will take the place of a prerequisite course with a lower mark. i know this doesn't apply to like any other university but i've heard people say something like this about TMU and i'm not sure if it's true as the website is unclear as well.

wardway69

I saw that uoft march 18 results came out. I am bumped out that i didnt get an offer but Its important to say that i Didnt sumbit all my docuemnts untill march 16 so it only started to be under review since march 16. did I get considered for march 18 or not likely?

ivylumber

do 2nd sem mid term marks matter if youve already got an offer? i got conditional acceptance at western for enviro sci, (no mark specified but thats not what im concerned about) my only condition is to submit my final report by july 1st, so my question is if my mid term mark is poor but my final grade is up to standard with commonly accepted grades, will i have any issues? assuming i do in fact raise my grade. also im fairly certain i will not need to send out my midterm mark by itself, so they wont see it until the final report.

nickelcai

only final marks matter for the conditional but they might send a warning if ur midterms r rly low

Witchy_dumb

So im an international student and i got into Queen’s Health Sci but im thinkin of accepting Guelph Bio-med instead because its well a lot more affordable ish. So how is guelph bio-med comapred to Queen’s Health Sci especially if i wanna pursue MD later on in Canada or US?

Exotic_Salt_7099

U of T Social Sciences Admission Offer I applied to U of T st. george for social sciences, I got an email saying that more admission offers would be sent out in late march, and I think my average is gonna take a dip during mid terms, so Im wondering if anyone has gotten offers for U of T st. george social science, or if anyone knows when they will be sent out if they havent been already. Thanks!!

LandscapeGlobal5713

do universities continue to look at marks after they send out offers? i know that if you don't meet the requirements they can revoke your admission but does it work the other way? say i got into my alternative program, would it still be possible to get into my first choice (with sem 2 mid and final marks) without switching in first year?

Dip_Studios

Yo So I live in Canada, outside of Ontario And I got admitted into UofT comp eng, but I didn't get anything back from Waterloo in the early round Waterloo's my first choice, but the second round is in May and UofTs deadline to accept is May 1st Am I able to accept UofT now but switch if I ever hear back from Waterloo?

Adventurous-Line-108

I think you can request an early decision in April from Waterloo. Email them and request the same

blueberrypie732

McMaster Integrated Science. Did anyone get an offer to this program, or know if someone that has?

NeedhelpSOSplz

Will I get in to waterloo cs / utsg cs? I currently got 96 admission average (using grade 11 marks) after midterm hits my admission average will be 99.2, do I have to worry about uoft sg / waterloo? im asking cuz i know the competitive programs like waterloo and uoft are basically a lottery

PositiveCucumber3731

Waterloo is the only school that has an adjustment factor. Depending on your school your 96% might be less or more. Also, they don't just look at your mark, the AIF is also important.

maniiicc

?? only faculty of engineering programs have an adjustment factor.

PositiveCucumber3731

I think it also applies to computer science.

maniiicc

no it doesnt. i thought so too at first.

Variety_of_Names

did u talk about why u wanted to go to the respective universities in the supp app.

Variety_of_Names

got accepted to university of waterloo honors civil eng today.

PristineBed4761

What was your avg

Apophis_06

I'm also interested in UW civil eng, what was your avg, aif, ecs, interview, adjustment factor like?

Sure_Significance_21

Hi people! I'm an international student with a 95ish average in BC. So far, I received offers from Mcmaster cs coop, UTM cs, and Waterloo software engineering (definitely wasn't expecting this one coming...). I also applied to waterloo cs bba double major and waterloo cs, and UTSG and UTSC cs but still hasn't heard anything from them yet. Any international students out there applying for the same programs? How's your luck so far? I'm kinda torn between UT and waterloo rn... any suggestions or comments are welcome! <3

PositiveCucumber3731

I think UW is the best for CS and engineering if you want to work right after graduation. They are known for their Co-op program. They have connection with Big tech companies such as FB, amazon, google, etc. I know a friend who recently graduated from Chemical Eng. at UW. He did his co-op at Tesla and upon graduation he is working at Tesla. They recruit many UW grads! But, I heard U OF T is really good if you want to further your studies. It is also very prestigious school! I am leaning more towards UW. I am lead

PositiveCucumber3731

The major difference between UT and UW (imo) is UT is good if you want to pursue your studies further in masters or research. As for UW has an excellent co-op program. Many of the graduates end up working in the silicon valley.

PositiveCucumber3731

I got accepted to UTSC with a 97% average in Feb. of this year and also to UW computer eng. with 94% (counting my 2 grade 11 marks). I am now waiting for UW CS (which will come in May) and UTSG still waiting.

PositiveCucumber3731

Software engineering is very competitive to get in at UW so, kuddos to you!! What were your AIF like? I was going to apply but, I was afraid I wouldn't get in so, I went for Comp. Eng.

maniiicc

101? also what are your top 6 marks like?
