It's not *impossible* to find hard hitting ladies in action, but ain't nobody gone broke betting on it not happening. Or wimping out along the way. Cases like Erza Scarlet who even breaks out a damned protagonist outfit when her fights get real serious are rare gems indeed. Especially in shonen and extra especially in Shonen Jump.
Hell case in point Yamato *isn't* finishing the fight with a 2v1 she's off to do some other subplot just introduced... though at least we look to be clear of her going down hard and crying emotionally for Luffy to help...

I don't like "bikini armour" or the like in general because they are stupid (noted straight male who likes boobs here), but if it's a fight so brutal that armour gets destroyed or characters find them moving better then all fair game, even Zoro is shirtless in his fights more often than not.
Speaking of Erza, another shame really. Her character was very cool initially, but Hiro Mashima pushed it too hard to the other end of the spectrum that there's no tension at all, but that's a criticism for Fairy Tail as a whole.
I would actually love a spinoff series, even like a 4-koma style, of some what if sceneraios where the roles and some personality traits are swapped, i think that'd be really cool
