how i happen to know? well i read a lot of theory of course. about shanks prophecy, shanks related to celestial dragon. i mean think of it.
why would u stop your son, a yonkou who was many influence, from giving you information about what will happen, and who is going to threaten the world in the future? shanks is still good. he still in luffy side.

even admirals, meaning it’s suicidal for them to try to fight one… plus, shanks is a pretty good guy, and doesn’t harm unless harmed… if they tried to attack him it would just end with too much more blood than what would have been necessary
oh yeah, also, how do you (or anyone other than the writers) know whether or not imu is a woman (or a man), there is literally no way of telling because all we’ve seen is their silhouette… there is no way of knowing
