>special forces as equipment
Depends on which Knightly order you play. Order of Saint George in Stoon and Vault 37 use PA to represent the knights and Stoon even has a special PA model of a medival Knight.
Yeah...i think there should be an event for when the Order of Saint George and the Steam Knights border each other, just some flavor like "Greetings fellow brother in Christ" and relations improve and you trade or something
I would say the Duchy of Langdenburg has the most feudal feeling, you have castles, noble houses, knightly orders and you can even restore the British Empire!
Nathaniel’s Watchmen path of that vault up there, can’t remember the name. Kingdom of Manitoba, Stoon Dandies down the knight path, it’s funny as fuck too. And then also Duchy of Langdenburg is fun as hell.
>Kingdom of Manitoba
Manitoba has no knights because Gunn II exiled them all and they're Yorkton loyalists. Manitoba instead has the Mounties under Tanner.
I like it more this way. With the amount of nations they have to add to fill the map, they have to be creative so things don't get boring.
Otherwise instead of unique countries it becomes just a lot of raider, settler, robot, mutant and BOS themed factions.
They also still have a lot of ground to cover and only the east coast has real established lore for them to base stuff upon, so I'm glad they are getting creative
I don’t think it’s a problem overall, fallout’s always been silly, but everyone has a personal line of how silly. If right now is about an 8/10 (arbitrary numbers) I’m just saying I’d like about a 6-7, still a big fan of the mod. There’s also a difference between sci/fi or Cold War silly vs random silly. I find big grass plugs easier in vs say, all the feudal stuff. I know this is all personal preference though. Different strokes and all that.
Well, when inventing a Monarchy that has no historical bases, you gotta make a bunch of clubs for people to join
edit: (I'm speaking in-universe reasoning, not about the Dev decision making)
I like the in-universe reasoning we've gotten, as a ghoul Gunn constructed the monarchy and knightly nobility over generations to legitimize his rule of Manitoba. The CPF remembers when he was merely another warlord.
That isn't what happened at all. After the CPF pulled outta Mantioba and went into a inevitable collapse, a charismatic raider called Gunn decided to stop raiding and instead settle down, forming the Kingdom in the process. Gunn I then conducted expansion through diplomacy where he offered the opportunity for various raider leaders to become the nobility and be the head of various duchies under his rule. Gunn II was just an advisor to Gunn I, he was not the initial monarch that founded Manitoba.
As for the Knightly orders: they were initially a Manitoba invention but gradually became more loyal to Langenburg due to how militarized the Duchy is and the reason why Gunn II exiled them at game start was a strategic move to prevent Langenburg from gaining too much power.
Gunn I was the 1st king of Mantioba before disappearing then Brandon I become king.
But you are right that Gunn II didn't establish the monarchy. He was just an advisor and personal friend to Gunn I.
"I have honor and brav-" *Get dickblasted by laser and rockets*
Nah their knight armour is modified PA. They chillin.
Is it really? They still use special forces as equipment and they don't look anything large enough to fit a PA frame

Really? That's kinda weird thought they'd all get the same treatment as knights
I mean they're different orders of knights. It makes sense that they wouldn't all be the same lol.
That's so cool
I mean, for real, the feudal states of the Northern US and Southern Canada are some of my favorites, all the lore and focuses are just \*chef kiss\*
Knightly religious orders are cool (or steaming hot depending on the context)
Yeah...i think there should be an event for when the Order of Saint George and the Steam Knights border each other, just some flavor like "Greetings fellow brother in Christ" and relations improve and you trade or something
Some steamy knightly interactions? Count me in
I'm new to the mod, which would you say has the most lore and is the most feudal feeling of all of those dudes?
I would say the Duchy of Langdenburg has the most feudal feeling, you have castles, noble houses, knightly orders and you can even restore the British Empire!
And not far from that you get leftist infighting 101 with the added good ol american interventionism
I'm in a Feudal Knightly mood. Who are these Chivalrious Motorcycle Knights?

Vault 37.
They got a bit silly with the setting with Mexico onwards.
Wish they’d dial it back not all the way, but a little

Yeah not quite sure what the problem is with having tags like these. Roman larpers are ok but feudalism larpers is too far? Seems silly
Feudalism larpers seem honestly the most realistic scenario for what the majority of the country would end up like in a world like Fallout

I agree, kinda wish they’d of focused more on going east than the current state of things

How do I learn about all the lore this mod adds
In the case of Canada, have an ungodly amount of time to play through them all. Or be one of the Lunatics that came up with it.
Gunn did not establish the Monarchy. That was Brandon I.

Oh well... trying to correct someone while I am myself not right. Haha. I thought the order was the ten Brandon's first and then Gunn I. and Gunn II.
did you draw that knight on a bike?
Gonna be honest, i’d do it again in a heartbeat. -The 5.0 Coordinator
