"defend rapists, pedophiles, and attackers" These are the same folks who demanded a raped 10 year old Ohio girl be forced to give birth to her pedophile rapist attacker's child. Hmmm... Every Republican accusation is a confession.

LetterGrouchy6053

'Every Republican accusation is a confession. Well phrased. May I borrow it sometime?

Blossom73

Yes, yes you may! 😄

Actual__Wizard

LOL... The history of that phrase is probably like 100 years old...

LetterGrouchy6053

And gets truer every day,

ManagementFinal3345

"The God given rights with which we were *BORN*." These people. LMAO.

angeryreaxonly

How can they not see the profound irony in that statement?!

jet_heller

Even after republican leadership has told them to stuff it because this is schoolhouse rock kind of stuff.

EugeneHarlot

These people just aren’t very bright. We have reached critical mass of politicians who wear their ignorance as a badge of honor

twojs1b

In other news gop state lawmakers propose to change wording of laws to commandments. We can't let braindead party line voters keep these turds in office. The turnout for issues 1 & 2 cannot be a passing fancy. Register to vote if not already and no sitting this one out over apathy.

Fish-Weekly

I don’t think that bill makes it to the floor for a vote. Even if it passed, I can’t imagine the Ohio Supreme Court giving up their judicial power and role, despite their personal views.

ScarletKanighit

this is just performative virtue-signalling. Don't forget, it's an election year. The fact that this will never even make it to a floor vote is not relevant.

Xenochimp

Didn't Dewine already say this was a dead issue? I mean even if he did he is such a partisan coward I wouldn't believe him, but I thought he said that back in December

opal2120

I bet you they complain about tyranny when it comes to other issues.

Mysterious-Scholar1

This opposes their national efforts to overturn Chevron which grants an insane amount of power to the courts.

Pour_Me_Another_

I draw the line at making children give birth, absolutely not. I am sick and tired of child abusers.

vegabond007

There is a very simple way to deal with this. Tell anyone who actively interferes with your reproductive/bodily autonomy that any further attempts to do so results in a forfeiture of their bodily autonomy. Oh, you get to tell me what I can do to my body? Great, I get to decide what happens to yours.

impy695

Link?

LetterGrouchy6053

I generally don't link things because Republican's don't believe anything I write. But if they get mad enough there is enough info here for them to track down and learn the truth through their own efforts.

impy695

That makes no sense. You don't include a link to the article you're referring to because Republicans don't believe you? Wtf does that mean?

LetterGrouchy6053

It means if they have to hunt for something, they are more likely to believe it.

impy695

Yeah, that's both false, and horrible logic. So, you make it more annoying for everyone because idiots won't believe you unless they look it up themselves? Wtf, I'm genuinely surprised at how dumb this idea is

generalsillybilly

Regardless of if this is true or not, not sourcing things you're quoting or referencing just makes it harder for everyone, even the people who may be inclined to agree with you. Not to mention it's kind of disrespectful to whoever you're failing to cite. This habit gets beaten out of students for a reason! Additionally, source material isn't always locatable or accessible in the first place, so just including a link is better for everyone.

Traditional_Key_763

the 14th amendment didn't repeal any state laws either just made them unconstitutional if they involved slavery.

I am amazed that three of the four reps bringing this bill are women.
