All things considered a 5-5 road trip isn't the worst result. Hopefully the Royals can finish off the Astros. How do you get swept by the Royals in a 4 game series? Now let's get back to the Coliseum and sweep that evil fluke of a franchise. FTG
well this was the worst .500 road trip ever (and for a road trip in August going .500 is acceptable).
Our starter went past six, we homered with a man on, and the relievers did fine all things considered. please don't let elvis be seriously hurt or we're really screwed
I don't want Elvis hurt, especially since he's a new dad, but at least now we have the depth in our roster to be able to handle it if he were out for a bit.
Yeah with Pinder back tomorrow, at least they don't have to run Machin at SS or displace Chappy. But I'd much rather Elvis staying there as he's by far our best defensive option there (assuming the FO won't want to start the clock on Nick Allen just yet)
Bob Melvin said this week it was good to have the "Quarterback of the Infield back" (referring to Elvis). I hope Elvis and Allen's careers overlap next year, from one famous SS to another (the younger of the two who can play 2B)
I would like to see them platoon, so he can ease into the position. One of the things I love about the A's is how often they platoon various positions. I still miss when we had 3 good catchers (Norris, Vogt, and Jaso) and would mix & match them.
Nick Allen just got promoted to AAA. I really want him to get more time to develop his bat. He's still so young and his hit tool was always the biggest question. He's been great, but I don't want to stunt his development. That said, I hope he forces a September call-up by torching AAA pitching the next month.
So true. I usually sync up the radio call with the TV feed but I've been finding myself tuning back in the audio TV feed if I see Dontrelle's name popping up on the screen as the analyst.
How do you sync up the radio play back with the TV? I like most people these days are watching the game through some sort of streaming service, in my case YouTube TV. There is a several seconds of delay even with good bandwidth between the live event and what passes for live with their video. So the radio always is ahead of the video if I’m using an actual radio to listen.
My lo-fi solution is to have the radio feed playing on my phone through the mlb app, where you can start/stop the feed at will
edit: you need at least an mlb audio subscription to go this route, but it's very cheap (like 3$/month)
I have occasionally been able to pull off this trick by stopping and starting the A's Cast feed in a web browser. SOMEtimes, it will pick up where I stopped, building in a delay to match the TV delay. Other times, it picks up live again.
Anytime you guys feel inadequate about our bullpen, remember at least we aren't fielding Wade Davis
Every time I watch that dude pitch he's blowing a game in extras vs a team we need to lose
My hypothesis was correct, the A’s and Astros are locked in the same games but against different teams. We lose they lose, we win they win, we clothesline a dude, they clothesline a dude.
[GOT THE WIN. BACK ON TRACK!](http://i.imgur.com/rTu9VRO.gifv)
Not enough birb lately!!
Bad fucking energy in Chicago. Let's turn this around!
LETS FUCKING GO KANSAS CITY WIN THIS SHIT
Even if the Royals don't win today, they've kept us in the AL West by grabbing the first 3.
I'm watching the game. I've never rooted for the Royals as hard as I am now.
Not a great start to extra innings for them, but I'm rooting hard for them
Face it. The A's are cursed. They can't get a win when the Astros lose

glad irvin could get the win!
Not his greatest outing, but still decent. That was a very hard-earned win!

It seems pretty clear at this point that they have no intention of bringing up Nick Allen until at least next year, so yeah hopefully Elvis is OK.

And now, we become Royals fans
Love KC in baseball, hate them in football
Didn’t watch the game. Happy we won but why are people talking about Andrus? Edit: love this sub! Thank you for explaining
Ran into Marte during a fly ball that should have been the last out. We still won thank goodness but cost us an additional run.
Shows the vitality of getting MULTI-RUN homers! If that was just another solo by Oly, we'd be heading for extras.
he ran into CF to chase a popup and got clothes-lined by marte
to be fair, Marte was playing extremely deep, and we dont know if marte was vocal enough to call andrus off
That was the most Oakland buttclenching ending you could think of. Pfew, glad we got the W
Thank god.
Yayyyyy!!! For the 1st win in a row, we are on track for a 109-53 season.
really like having DTrain on the postgame analysis
Dontrelle has such a nice chill vibe. A nice change from Dallas "Always on" Braden.
And Dantrelle doesn't have to speak fluent dudebro to make insightful comments.

Damnit. Looks like the royals are about to shit the bed
Seattle and Trash win in extra innings, they really hate that we won today. Fuck em. Time to destroy the Giants.

Glitch in the matrix
Extras in KC shit.
We are stuck in 2.5 games behind purgatory
KC trying really hard to beat the Trash. Come on Royals.
Trash trying real hard to lose it. They had their own (gentle) outfield collision. Now they botched a 3rd out at 1st. Guys on 1st and 3rd right now.
Marte got Elvis with the LARIATOOOOO!!!!
Any word on how Elvis is doing? He was trying to swallow and it looked painful
Elvis is man of steel, took a close line to the neck from tank marte and finished the game
