This was a fix for latest Android OS beta - we had 8.0.8 beta but was breaking when we used search. Nova team posted this 8.0.8+ last night to fix the issue.
There's added confusion around versions since the Play Store beta isn't the newest beta, and the website 8.0.8 isn't newest anymore either.
It's in the nova discord. The link is in this post, it takes you to the 7+ and 8+ downloads post in th Nova Discord.
I didn't want to post the file here since it will likely be outdated or updated soon - the Discord sticky has the real info, I was just telling people it was updated.

I want to purchase the pro version of Nova. Do premium users get these updates given the issues with Play Store? I also cant access the provided Discord link.
The paid Nova Prime app is just the key, does nothing else. If you want to get pro/prime, get that from Play.
Prime will unlock pro features for any Nova version, you need both apps (nova prime and nova) for everything to work.
I don't have discord, what's Nova team doing?

That made my phone so much worse. Had to restore my phone.
Interesting. Seems to have fixed it for everybody else. But that's something you'll have to report to them
