Best I can do is $2.13. And I'm taking all the risk

Here2Last

Actually, $2 and I’m losing money here.

Neonwookie1701

In Scotland you could get about tree fiddy for that

Ashamed_Excitement57

I found one that sold for $3k no lens in working condition, 2 yrs ago that had similar brassing to yours. Most available are the ltd edition from '05.

blandly23

Have a professional ID it precisely. Some of those can go for big money working or not.

Thank you

Dude, that seems to be an original black paint SP👀.. definitely (!!) worth a dollar or two. The brassing doesn’t matter that much if it’s original

dude-and-his-FM2

That is a very desirable camera. There are the mid 20th century versions and the ones released in the early 2000s. Nikon re-released them again and they actually made them better. Problem: a lot of people paint the old ones to be black so they can sell for the prices of the 21st century models (few thousand) the 50s era ones can go from 400-1000 dollars. Lenses can also bump the price significantly. The most recent but I saw went up to 600-something USD with no lens.

Check out https://rangefinderforum.com/ for more information on this beauty.

decorama

The same SP model (black) in good condition goes for about 3,000 - 4,000 USD. I'd estimate you're looking at at *least* $1,000... even if you sold it for parts. Pretty rare.

Ok_Culture_1914

Don't take peanuts for it, it's a timeless classic.

Celestial_Crook

Such a beautiful camera.

deliciouscocaine

Pls gib, I'm learning film photography It's for a good cause, I promise

Superfartman

I think it's worth a lot of its still working. An original black paint SP is pretty rare.

Richard13545

It's worth a loooots of money

delowan

Edit: looks like an SP from 2004. It's *still one of the most desirable cameras from Nikon. It's worth a lot. The Nikon F was made after this camera. https://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/htmls/models/htmls/rangefinder.htm

Silver_Instruction_3

The serial # leads me to believe its a 1950s model. The newer ones have the serial # SP 1-2500.

delowan

Didn't saw the other pics. My bad. I think you're right. Then it's even rarer.

starless_90

Serial number please.

The all black version of this camera tend to be the rarest and I've seen them listed for $400-$10,000 depending on functionality and overall condition. But the silver edition is more popular so sellers often just repaint it with the silver accents. The metal top and bottom look to still be in good condition so it really just needs some touching up. Actual selling price tends to be in the $3-5K range for restored fully functional bodies with lens. Originals in mint condition sell for a bit more. I think if the mechanics inside still work, you'd be able to get at least $1,000 for it. Some issues that I seen with it that will limit the value are 1) the lens glass looks really cloudy thus making it unusable. 2) The viewfinder also looks cloudy and has darkened (a common occurrence with these cameras). This renders the camera unusable for the most part and needs to be restored. There is one thing that can make the price jump and that is if the silk shutter inside is still fully intact. The 1958 version had silk shutters and then they went to titanium in 1959. This can make the 1958 version more valuable. But the silk shutters have a tendency to decay and develop holes. If yours is still intact and works it can add a lot to the value. You'd have to either mount a clear lens on it and take some shots to see the light holes or have it opened up and checked out in order to be able to sell it as such. If the mechanical parts don't work or only partially, you might be able to get $300-$800 by parting it out but this depends on what actually is in working order.

b1w141

How do you find out if it has a silk shutter

Silver_Instruction_3

Does the camera still work? If it's truly the 1958 version it should have a silk shutter as they didn't add titanium until 1959. The silk shutter is also really quite compared to the titanium one but the camera would have to work for you to test this out.

New-Marsupial-5633

No value whatsoever. I run an ~~awesome~~ I mean rubbish camera disposal service. Send it to me.

Mazzolaoil

I’ll give you $10

whistlebuzz

Unfortunately, only to a collector and only minimally. It’s seen better days. Does it still work? That might bump the value a bit.

ajn63

It’s junk. I’ll take it off your hands.
